Pokemon: Rising From The Dark

Chapter 4: Pokeblock

Soon, Aoki found a recipe.

The intermediate Pokeblock, named Yellow Berry Pokeblock, has a very simple function: to supplement the missing in the Pokemon's body, quickly adjusting the Pokemon's body to restore the original talent of the Pokemon as much as possible.

Aoki looked over the necessary materials. They were all fairly common berries and herbs that weren't rare on this resource-rich island. Moreover, the production process is simple, and does not require any particularly complicated procedures or special tools, which is very suitable for Aoki and Murkrow right now.

To make the tools, Aoki used wood. In short, it was quite basic and not aesthetically pleasing.

"The next step is to find these materials. As for training, we can only postpone it for now." Aoki thought.

Now, the first thing to do is to help Murkrow recover its body. As for training and fighting, Aoki didn't want to damage the talent of Murkrow, so he could only put it back. However, Aoki believes that even without the training during this time, he and Murkrow would be able to catch up quickly.

Three days passed quickly. During these three days, Aoki and Murkrow wandered around the forest, looking for berries and herbs. Three days also slightly exceeded Aoki's time schedule, but it was not too late.

Holding the freshly made Yellow Berry Pokeblock in the palm of his hand, a slight coolness spread from his palm.

Under the sunlight, he could clearly see a trace of material inside resembling fruit pulp. The pale yellow surface was extremely smooth and a faint aroma emanated from it.

Making Pokeblocks is not difficult for Aoki, and the process went smoothly. Looking at the finished Pokeblock, it was just as he had imagined. This recipe was inadvertently obtained by him in his previous life, and he has not used it yet. He could only hope that the effect would be good.

With a flick of his fingers, he threw the Pokeblock into the air. Murkrow, who had been eyeing the Pokeblock, shot off Aoki's shoulder like a bullet and caught it in its beak.

Murkrow, who has witnessed the whole process, has long been unable to hold back his desire to eat the Pokeblock.

Aoki looked at the excited Murkrow and nodded with a smile.

After getting the affirmation from Aoki, it ate the Pokeblock.

"Caw!" A flavour that it had never tasted before filled Murkrow's mouth. Murkrow opened his beak, squinted its eyes in pleasure, and let out a sound of satisfaction.

Murkrow's expression of enjoyment indicated that the Pokeblock was good.

"Seems like it works," Aoki smiled slightly.

The intermediate Yellow Berry Pokeblock can only be consumed ten times a day. After ten, the effect will be gone. The recipe says that as long as you eat it for seven days, you should be able to recover the damaged body of the Pokemon.

Looking at nearly one hundred Pokeblock in his arms, Aoki left nine out, and the rest were carefully wrapped with a cloth bag that was prepared in advance and hung around his waist.

The Pokeblocks in his hands were thrown out one by one, and they were all swiftly caught and eaten by Murkrow.

Although the effects will not be shown immediately, Aoki can see the change in Murkrow through the system, even the green of its name had become a little darker in colour.

"For better absorption, we'll start training. Are you ready to become stronger?" Aoki said, throwing the last Pokeblock.

"Caw!" Murkrow responded with an enthusiastic cry.

Aoki was very familiar in the training methods and direction of Murkrow. Murkrow is best at speed. If the highest speed stat is not used well, he wouldn't even forgive himself. Not to mention Murkrow's Ability is "Prankster".

Prankster allows status moves to be used first. It's a great ability for gaining the upper hand.

"Murkrow, use Tailwind." A faint breeze appeared around Murkrow. Tailwind is a status move that can increase the speed of all allies.

Murkrow felt as if it had an endless amount of energy in its body. The Pokeblock that has just been eaten turns into a stream of heat that was flowing through its limbs, becoming a continuous source of strength emerging from its body.

Soon, the duration of Tailwind ended, and the breeze gradually disappeared.

"Keep the Tailwind around you and try to prolong its duration." Aoki said again.

Tailwind can increase the speed of everyone, but if it is only kept around Murkrow, it will only speed him up and it will reduce the energy consumption of the skill. If it can last longer, Murkrow could potentially increase its speed permanently.

Although Murkrow didn't know why Aoki arranged its training this way, Murkrow slowly gathered the airflow around itself and tried to maintain the airflow for as long as possible.

"Caw..." After a minute, the air flow around Murkrow completely dissipated, as if it had exhausted all its strength, and its cry had a hint of panting.

"Remember this state, the goal we have to achieve is to keep the Tailwind around you at all times. Alright, do it again." Aoki seemed to be a different person during training, with a very serious expression.

"Continue, Tailwind..."

"Continue, Tailwind..."

"Continue..."

"Continue..."

After beginning the training, Aoki became a strict instructor.

With the system, he could clearly see where the limits of Murkrow are. Allowing Aoki to avoid overtraining that could hurt its body, and ensure that the training was effective.

Three days later, Aoki had trained with Murkrow for a full three days, and finally it had managed to change the Tailwing state from the original of only one minute to ten minutes. Murkrow also managed to use Tailwind on Aoki's shoulder without affecting him.

Originally, according to Aoki's character, he would have trained in the forest until the beginning of the final trial. However, Team Rocket had a rule that every week you had to report to the base, no matter the situation.

Failing to do so would result in point deductions, and accumulating too few points would lead to direct elimination.

In the plaza, which used to be filled with three hundred people, there were noe only a few scattered groups. Their gazes had a hint of vigilance and hostility. Everyone present knew what failing the trial meant. Therefore, everyone present is an enemy.

Aoki glanced lightly at the few small groups huddling together, and shuddered in disdain. Grouping up might be a good way to survive, but it depends on the circumstances. When life and death are at stake, who cares about others?

So grouping up is just a way for the strong to gather some subordinates to do the dirty work for them. As for the result of the final trial, as long as you are strong enough, who would dare to oppose you?

A common feature among everyone present was that each had a Pokemon by their side. Most of them were Zubat, with a few accompanied by Ekans and Koffing. While some, like Aoki, had other Pokemon. After counting, there were about three Murkrow.

Compared to the ferocity of Ekans and the danger of Koffing, Zubat was a relatively easy Pokemon to tame.

For young people without strength, being able to tame a wild Pokemon is already commendable, and those who can tame Ekans and Koffing were no weaklings. After a week of jungle life, polarization has become increasingly apparent among them.

The stronger grew stronger, the weak grew weaker!

After three days of training, although there hadn't been many fights, Murkrow's level has also reached level 10.

Even so, Aoki is an inconspicuous figure among everyone. And Aoki, due to days of nourishment, his face, which was originally thin and yellow, gradually showed a trace of colour.

Silently, he walked to the corner of the plaza, crossed his arms, leaned against a stone pillar, and closed his eyes to rest.
