Chapter 7: Learning New Moves
The Water Gun was completely enveloped by the swirling winds of the small Sandstorm, which introduced an unusual level of humidity that softened the surrounding terrain, causing the sand to flow like muddy water. The offensive continued relentlessly, unyielding in its intensity!
The Sandstorm howled ferociously as it passed, leaving Poliwag lying helplessly on the ground, its bulging eyes glassy and disoriented, robbed of its ability to fight back!

As the last Weedle collapsed onto the arena floor, the referee's voice rang out with palpable excitement: "Congratulations to champion Adrian for successfully defending the ring and achieving ten consecutive victories!" His voice trembled, filled with a mix of passion and disbelief.
The club manager, watching intently from the side-lines, broke into a wide grin, pride illuminating his features. The stronger the champion, the more prestige and advantage it brought to the club itself. After all, there had even been a Celebrity champion from capital city Eryndor who had graced their ranks. The moment the manager laid eyes on Adrian, a familiar thought crossed his mind—a vision of enhanced recognition and success for his establishment.
Initially, the audience erupted into a scattering of applause that was timid and uncertain. However, as excitement rippled through the crowd, the volume swelled, building into an overwhelming crescendo of sound that resonated throughout the entire arena, akin to a roaring tsunami!
"Adrian!"
"Adrian!"
"Adrian!"
Amidst the deafening cheers, the name "Adrian" echoed through the battle club, becoming a chorus that persisted long after the event had concluded. Even after Adrian had exited the arena, the audience remained reluctant to disperse, caught up in the electrifying atmosphere.
"That was incredible; what a genius!" exclaimed one spectator, eyes wide with admiration.
"He won ten matches in just an hour! That's astounding!" another added, shaking his head in disbelief.
"I've been part of this club for a year, and I've never witnessed such thrilling battles!"
"..."
The adrenaline rush and excitement of the competition had inspired countless trainers in attendance, igniting within them the aspiration to improve and strive for greater heights.

[Central Bank notifications: Your card ending in 9562 has been credited with 20,000 Pkd!]
Adrian glanced at the electronic screen displaying the transaction and felt a warm bubble of joy swell within him. The visit to the club had proven to be immensely rewarding!
"Luna, shall we head to the training area together?" he suggested, optimism lacing his tone.
Their original intention had been to engage in specialized training, and Adrian still had a particular concept he wished to test out, so he was in no rush to leave the premises. Luna nodded obediently, throwing an occasional shy glance at Adrian, her cheeks dusted with a faint pink. It was clear that her thoughts were adrift in a sea of admiration.
As the two began to stride toward their next destination, a voice broke through the air, shouting, "Hold on, Mr. Adrian!"
Adrian turned to see the pot-bellied club manager running toward him, out of breath but brimming with enthusiasm.
"What can I help you with?" Adrian inquired, a hint of curiosity in his voice.
The manager, panting heavily, replied, "Hoo, ho… Mr. Adrian, here's your VIP Member Card. You forgot to collect it earlier."
Adrian accepted the card, which was strikingly elegant. It was black, with a subtle golden sheen that cast a soft glow around it, exuding an air of sophistication and exclusivity.
"Mr. Adrian, are you considering joining our club?" the manager finally stated.
Adrian paused, surprise flickering across his expression.
Nearby, two trainers who were passing by froze in place, overhearing the conversation.
"Wow, they're extending an invitation to Adrian to join the club!"
"That's fantastic! The Velmor City Club has exceptional resources, and they even nurtured the recently famous Trainer who specialized in Electric type Pokémon!"
"Wait, you're talking about the trainer who made waves in the novice competition?"
"Exactly! It seems like the Velmor City Club could be on the brink of gaining yet another powerhouse!"
"Oh, I can hardly stand it..."
Their hushed conversation floated through the air, inadvertently reaching several others nearby. The club manager puffed out his chest in pride and continued, "The club offers specially tailored training programs for its trainers. If you succeed in defending your championship, you will directly receive a portion of the club's profits and could even gain ownership stakes in this establishment..."
His persuasive tone suggested that all the club's resources would be funnelled toward Adrian, ensuring his rapid ascent as a renowned Trainer. It was a tempting offer that would be hard for anyone to refuse.
The two trainers, still astounded, listened intently; their expressions were electric with excitement—hands clenched into tight fists, their hearts racing even more than Adrian's.
"But there are conditions," Adrian replied coolly, maintaining his composure. He understood that there was no such thing as a free lunch in this world.
The club manager, who had been gushing with enthusiasm moments before, now wore a hint of discomfort.
"Ahem, yes, we do have some conditions. If you choose to join the club, you will automatically become a member."
The underlying message was clear to everyone present. Joining the club would entail a commitment that could compromise personal freedom. While trainers would no longer have to worry about resources or financial matters, they would effectively be bound to the club's expectations. In all likelihood, they would be obliged to compete for the club on a regular basis.
Adrian shook his head firmly, declining without a moment's hesitation. He felt confident in his current standing and didn't require the additional pressure or obligations.
The manager felt a pang of disappointment but managed to keep a smile plastered on his face. After learning that Adrian and Luna were heading to the training area, he took the initiative to guide them to an appropriate room, eager to assist in any way he could.
As the three of them departed, the two trainers were left in a state of astonishment, their eyes wide and mouths agape, grappling with the enormity of what they had just witnessed.
They couldn't believe their eyes as they watched Adrian, utterly captivated, not even hesitating for a moment. The two friends exchanged a glance, and one of them remarked, "Geniuses really are different from us..." The other nodded solemnly, responding, "Indeed." With a shared sense of awe, they both sighed at the same time, envious of Adrian's determination and talent.
Suddenly, an automated voice echoed through the entrance of the club, stating, "Swipe your VIP card, and your fee will be waived." As if on cue, the electronic door slid open smoothly, welcoming Adrian into the facility.

[Sign-in location: Velmor City Battle Club training area!]
[Check-in at the two-star location was successful!]
[Congratulations to the host for receiving the reward - Exp. Share!]
A smile broke across Adrian's face, with a flash of understanding illuminating his eyes. Earlier, when he had entered the club, he sensed something unusual when he noticed that the sign-in location was centred around the ring area. His intuition had been correct.
He could also sign in at the training area!
[Exp. Share: After equipping this item, you can share experience points without needing to participate in battles. When combined with a skill chip, it enhances the learning effect, allowing for faster improvement in skill proficiency!]
Surprise danced in Adrian's eyes. With the Exp. Share in his possession, he no longer needed to worry about the enormous amount of experience required to level up his Pokémon. After all, both Mewtwo and Gible were gluttonous when it came to experience!
As if to punctuate his excitement, there was a sudden flash of light, accompanied by a distinct sound: "Bang, bang!" Two Pokémon materialized in the training room, ready for action. After contemplating for a moment, Adrian made a logical choice and decided to give the Exp. Share to Gible. After all, the ten-time experience card was only effective for one week, and efficiency was key.
In an instant, a brilliant light enveloped Gible and Mewtwo, signalling that both Pokémon were actively sharing experience points. Adrian felt a wave of relief; once he captured more Pokémon in the future, the benefits could multiply, expanding the reach of the Exp. Share considerably.
With that settled, Adrian took a moment to fully appreciate his surroundings in the training room. The ceiling was adorned with rings that swung gently, designed for the training of Flying-type Pokémon. In the corners, there were state-of-the-art treadmills and heavy sandbags tailored for training Fighting-type Pokémon. Notably, the Ground material could be selected before entering the room. Adrian opted for a training area with a gravel floor, knowing it would enhance the effectiveness of his Pokémon's skills.
Additionally, just inside the door stood an impressive vending machine laden with countless TMs, each one promising the potential for greater combat effectiveness. Curiosity piqued, Adrian approached the machine with keen interest and confirmed that he indeed had the Dig TM disc available for purchase. He swiped his card expertly, completing the transaction without any hiccups.
After the discount, the cost for the Dig TM disc amounted to just 1,000. As he scanned the vending machine, he realized that dragon-type skills were exceptionally rare, resulting in very few skill chips being offered. To his astonishment, he caught sight of a Dragon Claw skill nestled among the options! The price was exorbitant at 20,000, but even with the discount of 10,000, it was a hefty amount. Nevertheless, Adrian steeled his resolve and decided to invest in it, knowing it was a valuable asset for his team!
With a satisfying sound of "Plop-plop!" the TM disc tumbled down one after another. Adrian crouched down excitedly, carefully opening the packages, and retrieving two Palm-sized discs, each pulsating with potential energy.
"Gible, come here!" he called, his voice filled with enthusiasm. Gible trotted over, its head bobbing with an innocent charm that made Adrian smile.
Bending down, Adrian gently placed the disc on Gible's forehead. In an instant, the disc transformed into a radiant earthy yellow light, which shot into Gible's body, marking the start of a new chapter in his training journey.
