Two familiar faces appeared before Sato: Heiji Kuroya, whom he had battled on the St. Louis, and a girl who was both his enemy and someone who had once ambushed him—a pretty young woman with a rather cute appearance.

The two of them walked hand-in-hand, with the girl leaning on Kuroya in a delicate and affectionate manner. On the surface, they appeared to be a couple deeply in love.

However, Sato's sharp observation skills quickly caught the subtle disdain in their eyes whenever they glanced at each other. Clearly, the two were merely pretending to be a couple.

Sato discreetly observed them while maintaining the appearance of a drunkard. 

Thanks to the Ditto-transformed human skin mask he wore, coupled with his reeking scent of alcohol and unsteady gait, the pair simply regarded him as a tipsy drunk and shifted their attention elsewhere after a brief glance.

"Why is Heiji Kuroya with her? Could it be that he's part of that lunatic group as well?"

Seeing Kuroya and his enemy acting all lovey-dovey together, Sato's mind was filled with questions. Within just a second or two, he had already considered countless possibilities.

As they were about to pass each other, Sato's downcast eyes flickered with a sharp glint. He suddenly staggered and "accidentally" bumped into his enemy.

Caught off guard by Sato's sudden move, the girl—Dora—had no time to dodge. She could only watch as the alcohol-reeking Sato crashed into her arms.

"Thud!"

With that, Dora was knocked to the ground, with Sato landing squarely on top of her.

Sato found it odd that he managed to knock her over so easily. Considering Kuroya was holding her hand, the impact shouldn't have been enough to send her tumbling. 

Clearly, Kuroya had let go of her hand the moment Sato collided with her.

"Get off me, you filthy drunk!"

Pressed beneath the drunken stranger, Dora's mind went blank for a moment. But it was soon replaced by a surge of anger. 

She pushed Sato off with all her strength, her face twisted with rage as she screamed at him.

"Burn him to ashes, Magmortar!"

Enraged, Dora wasted no time pulling a PokéBall from her dress with a magician-like flourish. She released a Magmortar and immediately ordered it to attack Sato.

Resorting to a Pokémon attack over such a trivial matter was utterly deranged, and this impulsive act revealed Dora's vile nature.

Despite lying on the ground pretending to be a drunkard, Sato remained unfazed. He had already noticed someone important standing behind the pair—a short, muscular sailor who served as the bosun of the Sea Lion.

As the bosun of the Sea Lion, Kakaro was not about to let anyone die on his watch. Seeing Dora prepare to attack someone over a minor bump, his expression turned icy.

As soon as it was released, Sealeo, his trusty partner, immediately sensed his mood shift. Without needing an order, Sealeo launched a piercingly cold Ice Beam just as Magmortar was about to unleash its flames.

The icy beam struck with lightning speed. The terrifying chill extinguished the flames on Magmortar's back, freezing its entire body solid in less than a second, albeit momentarily. 

Moreover, the icy aura emanating from Sealeo's frozen creation spread to Dora herself. 

Dressed in a light summer dress, she was instantly chilled to the bone, her complexion turning blue as she began shivering uncontrollably.

"You…!"

Seeing her Magmortar frozen and herself caught in the backlash, Dora turned her head stiffly to glare at the short, muscular sailor. Her eyes were filled with both fear and intense hatred.

"What do you mean 'you'? Who gave you permission to attack someone, you vile woman? Don't you understand the rules on the Sea Lion? Next time you dare to command a Pokémon to attack someone on this ship, I'll freeze both you and your Pokémon solid, smash you into pieces with an axe, and feed you to the fish!"

Kakaro was a dominating figure. Seeing Dora glaring at him, he swung the blunt side of his axe and knocked her to the ground before pointing the blade at her head and shouting furiously.

Heiji Kuroya, witnessing Dora's treatment, felt a twinge of discomfort. But when he glanced down at Kakaro, their eyes met. To Kuroya, it was as if he were staring into the maw of a ferocious great white shark.

Kuroya froze in place, cold sweat pouring down his body as fear filled his eyes.

If Kuroya was intimidated, Dora, who had been directly targeted, was utterly terrified. She no longer cared about the burning pain in her chest. Bowing her head submissively, she didn't dare meet Kakaro's murderous gaze.

She realized she had encountered someone far more terrifying than herself. Kakaro was even more frightening than Captain Mary, whom she once feared. 

She had no doubt that if she showed even a hint of defiance, he would finish her on the spot.

"Hmph! Get lost. Don't block my way to the dining hall."

Seeing the two comply, Kakaro eased his demeanor a bit. Since turning to honest work with his boss, he hadn't killed anyone in a long time, but the suppressed violence in his heart was now surging.

It seemed like he needed something to vent his frustrations.

Kuroya quickly picked up Dora's PokéBall, recalling Magmortar, and helped Dora to her feet. They made way for Kakaro, and as soon as he entered the dining hall, the pair fled in disgrace.

Meanwhile, the "drunken" Sato was dragged aside by a few sailors coming out of the dining hall.

After a long while, Sato, now lying in a corridor, finally "groggily" woke up. Looking around in apparent confusion, his face suddenly changed, and he promptly spewed a torrent of liquid from his mouth.

Afterward, feeling much better, he began to stagger off again, disappearing down the corridor.

Everything about him was so convincingly drunk that it perfectly fit the persona of a dedicated drunkard.
