Chapter 112

Two demons appeared. This was an unprecedented event.
It was the first time even after the Otherworlders had shown up, and combing through the annals of human history, one would find no record of two demons appearing simultaneously.
After all, the intervals between demon manifestations are typically quite lengthy. Once they show up, they tend to disappear only after centuries, and even in recent times, the interval has shortened to at least a few months.
Thinking about two demons appearing at once was never even on the table.
So naturally, one would expect to feel a rush of fear or at least some tension, but…
Before that could settle in, I felt nothing but intrigue.
No one could have predicted they would launch into a sticky lesbian kiss right off the bat.
Even if a seer was present, they wouldn’t have expected this to happen.
Chuuurp… Chuuuup…
“Sss… Hah…”
Somewhat unseemly sounds echoed around the room. The squelching sound of mixed saliva invaded my ears. In the midst of this critical situation, the two demons were lost in their own world the moment they met.
Andras, seemingly oblivious to his own wounds, quickly lost himself in bliss.
The demon resembling a leopard, whom I had just laid eyes on, was already panting mere seconds after their meeting.
It was a relief that they were just kissing for now. Their touches were gradually becoming more lewd.
Andras’s hands wandered toward Plauros’s face, carelessly pulling up her ragged clothing to roughly grope her ample breasts hidden beneath.
“Hah…”
Strange moans echoed from Plauros’s mouth. Watching this, I momentarily felt a stirring in my lower parts.
‘This is insane…’
Who would have thought I’d witness such a rare scene?
It’s not like I have a taste for yuri.
But to see two women so intensely engaging like this right in front of me… it was undeniably a massive visual stimulus.
Besides, despite being demons, their appearances were exceptionally stunning.
You could easily call them beauties even if nine out of ten people were to judge. Hence, it was hard not to be intrigued.
“What the hell… I can’t just sit back and watch! Everyone, attack!”
Of course, I was the only one enjoying the spectacle.
As Andras’s hand slowly moved down, Odelia cursed loudly and drew her sword.
At her command, everyone raised their weapons without hesitation.
Unlike me, they clearly found the scene repulsive. Well, considering their perspective, the pair might appear as a couple of gay demons.
‘Ugh, damn…’
As I momentarily felt the urge to switch places, I quickly shook my head to clear my mind.
I felt a twinge of regret but raised my weapon just the same. No matter what, I couldn’t let them be unchecked.
“Those bastards…”
It was then that they finally released themselves from their own little world.
Seemingly irked by being interrupted mid-event, a furious Andras swung his sword toward us.
Whoooosh!
I couldn’t help but be surprised by his strike.
Even though he should have been exhausted from his injuries, he struck harder than when we first met.
“Gah!”
“Uck…!”
Whoosh—!
The heat emitted from the tip of his sword scorched the knights’ skin. They swiftly pulled back, but burns were unavoidable.
“Florence! Naria! Damn, what the…?”
“As long as we’re with Plauros, we are invincible.”
“Hmph… a bit more…”
Andras said this as he groped Plauros’s derrière.
Simultaneously, their combined magic surged powerfully. I speculated cautiously.
‘Could it be that these bastards grow stronger the closer they are to one another?’
If that were the case, it truly was an incredible ability. Gaining pleasure and growing stronger at the same time was practically sex magic.
Either way, I couldn’t just stand by and watch.
I picked up my spear and stepped toward Plauros. Although Andras was likely the more exhausted of the two, he was currently rampaging way too vigorously.
Plus, I needed to gauge Plauros’s full strength as well.
The moment I took a few steps closer, a scorching heat welcomed me.
It felt like stepping into a high-temperature sauna, leaving me breathless.
“I’ll back you up!”
I hesitated for a moment but, draped in Haneul’s buffs, I lunged the spear toward the demon.
“Hmph.”
In response, she swiped at me almost carelessly, as if brushing off an annoyance.
But I couldn’t ignore the outcome.
Like a shockwave, a strike in the shape of her claws flew straight at me.
I hurriedly turned the spear sideways to block the attack.
Bang–!
The sharp claws gnawed away at my solid steel spear. I grimaced at the sight.
‘…This spear won’t last long at this rate.’
It had been a while since I had used it. I bought it from a shady alley years ago, and it had served me well until now.
If that was the end of the attack, I would have charged right in, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
Like an afterimage, a remnant of flames was left in the wake of her claws.
The flames suspended in midair stubbornly obstructed my path.
‘A ranged attack and a travel hindrance…’
Moreover, this demon was also a fire type.
The match-up was decidedly unfavorable. No matter how accustomed to pain I was, I couldn’t easily endure the agony of burning. Recovery would surely be slower, too.
Stuck in this predicament, unable to approach easily, a sudden figure dashed past me.
It was Niki.
With a longsword in one hand, she absorbed the fiery claws with her body. I was taken aback as I asked,
“Hey! Are you okay?”
However, to my surprise, her expression was calm. It was a bit scrunched, sure, but that was all.
In reality, her skin was only slightly reddened; there was no sign of blisters or contortions.
Seeing that, I tilted my head in confusion.
‘What’s going on…?’
Is it not that hot? But I can feel the scorching heat just by getting closer. While I pondered, she simply replied.
“…Yeah. I’m a bit resistant to fire.”
That was new information for me. Maybe that was her unique Trait. Just as I had unusually high regenerative powers, she had exceptional flame resistance.
‘Hmm…’
For a moment, I was curious about her abilities but put that aside for now.
I needed to focus on defeating the demon first.
As Niki dashed through the after-image of the flaming claws, she reported,
“We have a solid plan.”
Her demeanor changed from her usual shy self to serious as combat began.
“They grow stronger the closer they are to each other… You felt that, right?”
“Yeah.”
“Sephir’s preparing a spell behind us. She’s about to launch an enormous ice chunk to separate those two demons for a while.”
I took a step forward while glancing back briefly. I could see Sephir with her eyes closed, quietly reciting incantations. Mana swirled around her, forming large and small ice particles.
Niki added,
“During that time, you and I will pull Plauros away.”
“What about Andras?”
“That’ll be up to the Knights.”
It was a bit of an uneasy plan. But at the same time, it was the best course of action.
We couldn’t keep fighting while letting those demons stick together.
Dealing with two demons was tough enough, but if they kept resonating… we could really be knocked out without a chance.
Especially now that I was already struggling to keep defenses up.
“Alright.”
I nodded. Not long after, Sephir cast her spell from behind.
“Glacies obice.”
…With a serene incantation, a massive ice barrier abruptly intruded between the two demons’ connection.
This was a cool, sturdy wall of ice that could break through even the scorching atmosphere.
“Whaat!”
“Ah, Andras!”
“Now!”
As their panic ensued, Niki and I lunged towards the demon.
Sweeish…
“Uugh…”
With every step closer, my skin turned crimson. Even with the heat of the flames subsiding thanks to Sephir, the heat being emitted by them was no joke.
But I couldn’t stop moving. If I missed this opportunity, the battle would only become more challenging.
The first to reach them was Niki. She hugged Plauros tightly and took off running.
“Kuh, pathetic human! Let go! Don’t interfere with me and Andras!”
With her claws sharpened, she aimed an attack at Niki.
I stepped back, blocking her assault with my spear from just behind.
“Yor!”
I heard Odelia’s shout from behind, her expression colored with light panic. Apparently, in the rush of things, she hadn’t heard the plan.
I replied casually.
“We’ll handle her. In the meantime, deal with Andras!”
As I spoke, her claws grazed my forearm. A sharp pain engulfed my senses.
It really hurt like hell.
Thus we escorted the demon away to a somewhat distant spot.
“Hah… Hah…”
Niki, who had been strenuously moving the demon, was panting heavily.
Gripping my spear, I stated,
“Now, your yuri drama ends here.”
It was indeed a sad affair…
