Chapter 6: The Predator's Return: 2
Yun Jo tilted his head slightly, his smirk sharp and unwavering. "No," he said Camly, his voice slicing through the heavy silence of the classroom. "I've got a lesson to teach."
The classroom was alive with murmurs, whispers spreading like wildfire through the rows of students. Jae-hwan and Seung-min stood at the center of it all, their lackeys flanking them like obedient soldiers. The air was suffocating, thick with tension and the scent of unspoken fear. Everyone knew what this was—a battle for dominance, a clash of predators. The students huddled against the walls, their eyes darting nervously between Yun Jo and the reigning Executive of Sechan khang.
Yun Jo stepped inside the classroom, his movements slow, deliberate. His hands rested casually in his pockets, his face unreadable. He didn't look like someone walking into a fight against two of the school's strongest students and their twenty-five lackeys. He looked calm, detached, as if this were nothing more than a mundane errand he needed to finish before lunch.
The whispers died as soon as his foot crossed the threshold.
A faint chime echoed in Yun Jo's mind. The system's interface flickered before him, its glowing text hovering faintly in the air.
**[Activated Skill: Peek at You!]**
**[Analyzing Opponent Stats...]**
Jae-Hwan he was strong, no doubt, but brute force alone wasn't enough to intimidate Yun Jo. To Yun Jo, Jae-hwan's stats were laughable—a crude combination of raw power and sheer stupidity. Strength without intelligence was like a weapon without a wielder. It was useless.
Jae-hwan
- Strength: B
- Speed: C
- Endurance: B
- Intelligence: D-
- Potential: C
Jae-hwan, the bigger of the two, his broad shoulders and thick arms flexing as though to remind everyone of his physical dominance. His face was brutish, with a square jaw, sharp cheekbones, and a perpetually angry scowl that made him look like a predator. His short, spiked hair was dyed a glaring shade of blonde, a deliberate declaration of rebellion. A jagged scar ran across his left eyebrow—a souvenir from some forgotten fight. His sheer size was imposing, towering over most of the students in the room, including Yun Jo, even after Yun Jo used Golden Card and gain 3cm taller.
Seung-min :
- Strength: C
- Speed: B+
- Endurance: C+
- Intelligence: B+
- Potential: C-
Beside him stood Seung-min, leaner but wiry, with a face that seemed perpetually smug. His sharp, fox-like features and narrow eyes gave him a deceptive air of cunning. His jet-black hair fell messily over his forehead, and he had a thin silver chain dangling from his neck—a cheap imitation of wealth. If Jae-hwan was the brawler, Seung-min was the schemer, known for using dirty tricks and underhanded tactics to win fights. But for all his posturing, he lacked the raw talent to back it up.
Lackeys (Rank D to C):

Seung-min stepped forward, his sharp, fox-like features curling into a mocking grin. "Well, well. The little rat finally crawled out of his hole," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
Jae-hwan's lips curled into a sneer, the scar across his eyebrow twitching as he cracked his knuckles. "Look who finally decided to show up," he growled. His voice was deep, booming, meant to intimidate. "I thought you'd keep hiding like the coward you are."
Seung-min leaned against the teacher's desk, his sharp, fox-like features twisting into a mocking grin. "What's the matter, Yun Jo?" he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Finally grow a spine? Or did you come here to beg for mercy?"
The lackeys snickered, emboldened by their leaders. The noise grated against the tense silence, filling the room with an air of arrogant confidence.
Yun Jo didn't respond. He tilted his head slightly, pulling a cigarette from his pocket and placing it between his lips. With a flick of his lighter, a small flame danced, igniting the end. He took a slow drag, exhaling smoke into the air. His eyes remained locked on Jae-hwan and Seung-min, unblinking.
"You're just gonna stand there and smoke?" Seung-min sneered, though his voice wavered slightly. "What, too scared to fight?"
Jae-hwan growled, his patience snapping. "I'll wipe that smirk off your face!"
He lunged forward, his massive fist swinging toward Yun Jo's head. The classroom erupted into chaos as the lackeys cheered, expecting the fight to end with a single blow.
Yun Jo didn't move until the last possible moment. Then, with the smallest tilt of his head, he let the punch graze past him, the force brushing harmlessly against his cheek. He exhaled another puff of smoke, his smirk unwavering.
"Pathetic," he said softly, his voice cold and cutting.
As Jae-hwan stumbled forward, off-balance, another notification chimed in Yun Jo's mind.
**[Side Quest Triggered: Defeat the executive of North Gangbuk]**
**[Reward: ???]**
Yun Jo's smirk widened slightly.
Predictable. The system was easy to manipulate—just like his enemies. He took another drag from his cigarette, letting the smoke curl lazily around him as he turned his gaze to the lackeys.
"Come on," he said quietly, his voice calm but laced with menace. "All of you at once. Or one at a time. It doesn't matter."
His calmness was maddening.
Jae-hwan's patience snapped. "Enough of this shit," he growled, stepping forward. "I'm gonna shut you up for good!"
The massive boy lunged, his fist swinging toward Yun Jo's head again like a wrecking ball. The classroom seemed to hold its breath, the force of the blow enough to shatter a lesser opponent.
But Yun Jo didn't move until the last possible moment.
Jae-hwan roared in frustration, swinging again, but Yun Jo was already moving. He sidestepped, his movements smooth and precise, and delivered a sharp hook to Jae-hwan's ribs. [Martial Arts Technique: Boxing - Liver Shot] The larger boy staggered, his breath catching as pain exploded through his side.
"Get him!" Seung-min barked, and the lackeys surged forward, a chaotic swarm of fists and fury. But Yun Jo was calm, unbothered. He stepped into the fray like a predator among prey.
A lackey swung wildly at him, his punch clumsy and desperate. Yun Jo tilted his head, dodging the blow with ease, and countered with a clean uppercut. [Martial Arts Technique: Boxing - Uppercut] The boy's head snapped back, and he crumpled to the ground.
Another lackey charged at him from behind, but Yun Jo spun, his leg whipping through the air in a perfect arc. [Martial Arts Technique: Taekwondo - Spinning Roundhouse Kick] The kick connected with the boy's jaw, sending him flying into a desk.
Jae-hwan recovered, letting out a furious roar as he charged again. Yun Jo caught his punch mid-swing, his grip like iron, and twisted the larger boy's arm. Jae-hwan cried out in pain as Yun Jo forced him to his knees. [Martial Arts Technique: Judo - Arm Lock]
"You're slow," Yun Jo said coldly, his voice devoid of emotion. He released Jae-hwan, only to drive his knee into the boy's stomach. [Martial Arts Technique: Muay Thai - Knee Strike to Solar Plexus] Jae-hwan collapsed, gasping for air.
Seung-min hesitated, his confidence wavering as he watched his partner fall. But he forced a smirk, lunging at Yun Jo with surprising speed. Yun Jo sidestepped, grabbing his arm and flipping him over his shoulder in one fluid motion. [Martial Arts Technique: Judo - Shoulder Throw] Seung-min hit the ground hard, groaning in pain.
The room was a battlefield, bodies littering the floor. Lackeys groaned in pain, clutching their wounds, while Jae-hwan and Seung-min lay broken and humiliated.
But Yun Jo wasn't done.
He grabbed Jae-hwan by the collar, lifting him effortlessly off the ground. The larger boy's eyes were wide with fear, his confidence shattered. "You're the 'top dog,' huh?" Yun Jo asked softly, his voice calm, almost curious. "Let's see how much fight is left in you."
"Let's Farm some exp."Yun Jo muttered camly with grind on his face.
