Chapter 1: Prologue — History Ryzon Alte
Before we begin the story, I would like to ask you all about; the meaning of true freedom? ...Is it a symbol for survival?
Rezon Alte is one of the castles that has stood strong for ages, passed down from generation to generation. Ryzon Alte itself was built upon the suffering and misery of humanity.
Fifteen centuries ago, during the golden age of the kingdom known as Elysian Reach, this was the first time humanity built a peaceful civilization. This kingdom was established by an envoy of the goddess Quem, named King Leam. He was an envoy of the goddess who reincarnated from the modern world, specifically someone from Japan to the world of Nocterra. Those who were chosen were given the mission by the goddess to bring about the development of technology and prosperity for the local society.
It is important to note that before the reincarnated beings arrived in Nocterra, the world was already inhabited by several races, such as dark elves, demons, vampires, and hybrid animals. They lived there without guidance, like wild beasts in the savannah, existing only for survival, nothing more.
When King Leam successfully built the kingdom of Elysian Reach, the existing civilization underwent a drastic change. The social conditions of the local society became warm and humane. There was no crime at all, and various races lived side by side without conflict. It's also important to note that Leam was not reincarnated alone. He had an adventurer companion named Kael Vorthan, but Kael reincarnated as a different race. He was not a true human like Leam; physically and in terms of age, he was different. However, the two of them had embarked on a long journey toward the kingdom's glory, but all of that didn't last long. While they were adventuring together, they faced the uncertainty regarding the establishment of the peaceful kingdom (?).
In the end, they decided to build their own kingdoms separately, becoming powerful rivals who could never be at peace.
By the second generation of the Elysian Reach kingdom, when King Leam breathed his last, the ongoing project to build a peaceful civilization was not continued by his successor. Therefore, its golden age lasted only for 50 years. This directly affected the local society, with corruption, the trade of slave races controlled by people within the kingdom, and the suffering of the local people only increasing.
It's also important to note that King Leam had no heirs; he suffered from a form of infertility. As a result, his assets were taken over by those who betrayed him, such as his right-hand person, Elyndra Frostveil, a noblewoman rumored to be a former comrade of both Leam and Kael. Thus, the glory of his reign lasted only around 50 years under his control.
When the balance became unstable, crime rates soared in the region. The neighboring kingdom — that is, the kingdom of demons built by Kael, upon hearing rumors about the downfall of Elysian Reach at the hands of its second generation, they began planning an assault on the territory. Kael himself held a personal grudge that haunted him for 50 years, deeply embedded in his mind. While Leam was still alive, Kael dared not attack because Leam possessed powerful magic granted by Quem.
Considering that human lifespans are short compared to demons, this gave Kael the opportunity to destroy Elysian Reach, though careful consideration was required. Despite the rumors of the suffering of the people in Elysian Reach, the officials there were still incredibly strong, both in terms of magic and military.
By the second generation of Kael, with his well-thought-out plan after waiting for many years— the third generation of Elysian Reach was now truly on the brink. The officials there had become utterly insane, committing violence against their own people, legalizing the trade of races, and implementing absurd economic taxes.
In the midst of the bustling square of Elysian Reach, the atmosphere was grim. Screams from the civilians could be heard, forced into sexual acts by the military guards, promised as a necessary release for their stress. The civilians couldn't say "no" or refuse because it was absolute for the important figures there.
While they were distracted, suddenly from above, the new generation demon army's mages launched fire that burned the houses of the suffering people, as if this was the judgment of the dark angel. Not only did they burn the houses, but military assaults followed immediately after, destroying anything in their path—whether it was the suffering civilians or the military of Elysian Reach.
The officials of Elysian Reach, who had been enjoying themselves with several women, began to panic when the alarm bells rang, signaling a sudden attack. All that was on the minds of the officials was one thing: "How do we escape?" The current generation was blinded only by wealth and pleasure.
Meanwhile, the new generation of Kael's army had already leveled the region, leaving only the castle standing. The officials were trapped, surrounded by the demonic aura of deep-seated vengeance. Those who tried to fight back with weak magic were no match for it.
They could only surrender and offer their sinful lives to the damned demons. They were executed brutally.
After the fall of Elysian Reach, the region was rebuilt by Kael's successors (the demon race), and Ryzon Alte was established. The concept of this new kingdom was a tower with several floors, consisting of seven levels, with the officials occupying the top floors.
Regarding the physical appearance of the demon race from Kael's bloodline, they resembled humans with an average height of 200 cm, characterized by horns resembling those of a ram on their heads. Deep red eyes are one of the symbols of Kael's bloodline. However, other demons who were not from Kael's lineage—true demons—had various forms that were hard to describe. Their shapes were monstrous, beyond comprehension.
After the establishment of Ryzon Alte, the place was filled with some of the strongest races.
The governing system is absolutist, based on absolute power and control through darkness. Under Ryzon Alte, the sole ruler, known as the "Shadow Ruler", holds full control over every aspect of the kingdom, from the laws to the lives of its people. This system is built on a strict hierarchy, where fear, power, and loyalty to darkness form the main foundation. Every decision made is aimed at maintaining the supremacy of darkness, with conquest and manipulation as primary means to stabilize the rule.
