"I'm William Right." I began. "Also a first-year like you."

If I remember correctly, me and Todd should have the same math class. In my previous life, Todd was praised by all of our teachers as a genius and has a bright future ahead of him and they were right. 

In 2035, Todd started his own tech company and invented the world's first rocket shoes. Consumers were concerned about the safety level of this product so Todd tested the prototype himself on LIVE television to resolve their concerns. As expected, the product became viral after it launched internationally! After the rocket shoes, the company launches many more futuristic inventions like cars that can turn into jets! Unfortunately Todd mysteriously passes away in 2040 without any successors, so the company has to shut down.

I don't know about the future, but this guy could definitely give me a hand at the moment! How can I convince him into working for me though?

You have a new side mission!

Side mission: Within a month, turn Todd Abraham into your first loyal employee by making his loyalty meter reach at least 80%! 

Rewards: $300, Stats points +2, 1x spin from the roulette, unlock new character

Punishment: -$200

Unlock a new character? What's that supposed to mean?

"It means that you will get the opportunity to meet someone, whom you haven't met in your previous life, that can help you in your journey." Hathor whispered. "This type of event happens because the timeline will be altered once you make him loyal to you."

"Holy crap!" I yelled. "Don't sneak up on me like that!"

"Todd can't not see you right?" I continued. "So in his eyes, I'm just randomly talking to myself at the moment?"

"You are close." She replied. "At the moment, time has stopped and only you could see, talk, and hear me."

"That's good to know." I smiled. "At least now I know that people won't think I'm going mad."

"Would you also like to receive your rewards for the previous side mission?" Hathor asked. "All of your stats will get +2 and the $200 will be added to your system."

"What about the ability [Terror]?" I replied. "How do I receive that?"

"Any abilities you gain will be added to the system." Hathor continued. "To use it , simply say activate [name of ability] and it will be use."

I nodded and told her to proceeds with the receiving the rewards.

All stats points has been raise and [Terror] has been added to your skills list. Here's a quick overview of the skill.

[Terror] level 1: For 30 seconds,emit an field of dark aura to cause fear into all of the surrounding enemies within 1 mile.

Cool down time: 1 hour

Requirement to upgrade to next level: $100

Everytime you upgrade this skill, the maximum distance and time of the skill will increase. The maximum level for this skill is level 5.

This skill will come in handy if I ever get into a group fight where I'm at a disadvantage in terms of numbers.

"What about the reward box?" I asked. "How does that works?"

Hathor explained that there's five ranks of box and each rank is divide into normal, medium, and high. The rank as follow from low to highest:

1. Bronze(lowest)

2. Silver

3. Gold

4. Diamond

5. Legend(highest)

The higher the rank, the stronger and rarer the rewards inside. The rewards could be skill cards, weapons, tools, or items. Some rewards are available for purchase at the shop, but the rarer one are only available in Diamond and Legend rank box. The one you earned from the previous mission is a normal bronze rank box.

"I got it." I nodded. "Now lets open the bronze rank box."

Cooldown time: 5 minutes

This skill only have two levels and once you upgrade it to level 2, you'll be able to know their secrets and even things about them that they don't even know about themselves.

Oh wow, this skill could come in handy if I want to know more about someone and use it to raise the percentage in their loyal meter!

Description: Todd Abraham is a first-year, who is popular with the teachers for his academic excellence, but unpopular and commonly the bullying victims of other students who are envious of him. His mom is currently in the hospital for cancer treatment. The insurance only pay for 70% of the monthly hospital bills so he has to go around borrowing money from his aunt and uncle to help pay for the bills. Now he is staying with his aunt and uncle and they are still paying for the hospital bills. He wanted to help them, but doesn't have any money.

With this background, he is definitely the best business partner there is!

I told Hathor to unpause the time and bring me back to reality. Now all I need to do is convince him to work for me, but I need to see whether or not he is one of those teachers pet!

"It seems like we have the same class for math and physic." I smiled. "Lets walk to class together."

As we walk to class, I ask him more about himself and everything he says matches what the system showed me.

I pretend to not know(even though I do) and shows that I empathize with him and wants to do something to help.

When class starts, Todd and I sat next to each other at the two desks in the middle of the classroom. This is the perfect spot to spy on all students and which one could be the perfect client(s) for my business. Time to analyze.

For an entire week, I spent my time befriending Todd and analyze all of the students in the class. By the time it was Friday afternoon, I was able to raise his loyalty meter to 60%. I was able to identify the top 10 students in the classroom who are wealthy, but unfortunately they are…uh…not that good at the subject.

There are a total of 40 students in the class. 20 were average students like me, 10 were barely managing to survive, and the remaining 10 were wealthy students who needs serious help in this class!

After class ended, I went over and talk to all ten of them about my "tutoring" and "selling" plans and they agree to my fee and gave me their phone number without thinking about it! $40 were a big thing for us, but that is just like $1 in their weekly allowances!

Now all I need to do is pull the trigger by attacking what Todd's like…money! This guy isn't close with the teacher so I don't need to worry about him snitching as long as he receive his share of the revenue.

Just as Todd was about to finish putting things back into his backpack, I walked back to his desk and began to tell him my plan.

"Hey Todd, I just came up with an idea to make money for both of us." I began. "This could helped you with helping your family's pay for your mother's hospital bills!"

"It's not selling illegal stuff isn't it?" He said with a concern face. "I won't do it and neither should you!"

"Hahaha, it's nothing like that." I laughed. "Here's the plan[…]"
