(Redacted)'s Book

The screen was split into three sectors. All of them are displaying a different thing in each of them. The left most sector has a white background and the others have a black background. 

The first sector contains {A black shadowy orb caged by a parasitic black and red hard looking tendrils with red glowing eyes in the background. Between the red eyes and shadow orb, There's a symbol. The symbol's appearance is of the following. 

The rough shape is of an arrow. The whole thing is of a red theme. The shaft is replaced by a circle, Above it, 2 hand like figures coming out of the circle, holding, a floating black flame like sigil. The bottom of it is a line connecting the prong of a trident. However, the prong is flipped, resembling a crown. The crown is made of the same tendrils, that make the cage of the orb. The whole symbol is crooked and seems to be made from an organic material, giving it an uneasy feeling.} 

The second sector contains {A small humanoid figure, wearing a gold gilded red cloak, covering its face in the cloak's shadow. It's holding a pitch black scythe that is much larger than its whole figure in its right hand. The scythe doesn't have a tang, knob, edge or anything. The scythe is the whole thing without any other external parts.

Between the knob part of the area and heel part, there's a red glowing gem embedded in it. The gem is roughly cut as well, and some of the black bits are floating beside the gem.

The figure's left hand is on a large wolf like creature. The wolf also has a red gem embedded in his forehead area. It also has nine tail, flowing in the air. Its eyes are looking fiercely at the camera. The figure's hand is rubbing it's back.} 

The third sector contains {It's showing a futuristic pistol, that is a combination of a desert eagle and a revolver, The model is of a desert eagle, but the lever can be pulled for a quick draw.

There are cards falling from above. There are multiple types of cards, playing cards, Tarot cards, cards with zodiac symbols from varying cultures, cards with figures from different mythologies as well. Some of them are even custom-made ones as well. There's some poker chips and coins here and there as well.} 

The screen faded out and the café came into view. 

It zoomed in on the table that (Redacted) is sitting at with some of the people from the previous chapter. 

[Ding][Ding][Ding] 

The boy, the girl and the man had 3 screens popped up above each of their heads.

The screen displayed many things. Such as, Name, Status and Emotions. 

The boy's screen displayed

{Name - Imamura Ryo, Code name - Parashade 

Status - Perfectly healthy

Emotion - Cheerful} 

The girl's 

{Name - Shima Akane, Code name - Red lens 

Status - Perfectly healthy

Emotion - Annoyed} 

The man's

Status - Perfectly healthy 

Emotion - Satisfied} 

In the bottom right corner, "This was implemented to display some information to the viewer, Sometimes on all the characters and not visible to (Redacted) at the time. This was done in editing." in a blue text box. 

(Redacted)- Thank you for letting me join. 

Peters - Well, If you're going to join us, How about you introduce yourself? 

(Redacted) - Name's (Redacted) and I specialize in barrier formations and close quarter combat. I can also use dual deagles as well. 

He put down the desert eagles on the table and bowed down. 

Peters faintly smiled. 

Ryo - Yo, I finally got a frontliner friend. Name's Imamura Ryo, by the way. Just call me Ryo. 

Ryo padded my back in a friendly manner. 

Akane took a glance at the desert eagles and was giving off an interested look on the desert eagles. 

Peters tapped on Akane shoulder, giving her a side eye toward me, a sign to introduce her self. 

She quickly snapped out of it and introduced herself. 

Akane - Name's Shiima Akane. You can call me Akane. 

Then Peters introduced himself. 

Peters - Name's Peters.

He spoke with a German accent. 

He raised his right arm towards him, in a handshake position. 

(Redacted) quickly shook his hand. 

(Redacted)- German?

Peters - Yeah, I won't be talking about my other name. You won't need it. 

Peters's appearance was of a middle-aged man, A very good-looking middle-aged man. He had black hair and a small scar on his left cheek. He was wearing a bit more armored clothes than others.

The same gun that was in the showcase before, was on his right side of the waist. On the opposite side, He had a small rectangle container. That's the card container, but his poker chip and coin can't be seen, tho. He was also wearing gloves like (Redacted).

Akane took a bite of the white cake on the table. Ryo looked at me and asked at me in a curious manner.

Ryo - Why is your hair white?

(Redacted)- Oh, 

(Redacted) answered back nonchalantly.

- That's because of my contract. 

Ryo - I haven't seen something like this before. One's hair turning white, cuz of a contract. 

Ryo took a sip from his juice right after. 

Peters - What kind of spirit are you in contract with?

(Redacted)- I can't figure that out. I don't have any memories of encountering a spirit before. It just manifested, while I was in a combat test. The testers said, It might be a enhancer spirit. 

Peters nodded in confirmation. 

Akane stopped eating and asked me, while lookin at the desert eagles. 

Akane - Can I take a look at those? 

(Redacted)- Yes, you can. 

He slid the guns to Akane. Akane immediately picked them up and started inspecting them. 

Ryo, finishing up his drink, talked to me. 

Ryo - Wait, What is your class?

Peters immediately squinted, taking an interest.

(Redacted)- Oh, I'm juggernaut/Barrier mage. Well, What's class you guys are then?

Peters - Versatile Mage/Gunner, although despite being a backline class, I usually stay in the front lines. 

Ryo - Assassin/summoner

Akane was still inspecting the guns, and she seems to be in awe. She was so deep into it, that Ryo had to call her. 

Ryo - Akane!

Akane - Oh, I was amazed by the build quality of the guns, that i spaced out.

She quickly put the guns down. 

- Sniper/Transformer, These two often call me, Recon. 

Akane - Also, Where did you get these? 

(Redacted)- I built them myself. 

All three of them was suprised by my answer. He expected that. 

Peters - You're a gunsmith?

Akane - WOW!, No wonder, The guns had a custom model, too. 

Then, abruptly, Siren sounds can be heard. The sound waves traveled through the city. 

The sirens chocked them even more. (Redacted) wasn't surprised much from it. 

Ryo - What?

Peters - This is out of nowhere. 

A male voice came out of it. 

Siren - Emergency, Fracture formation have been detected, near the proximity of the city. All citizen, please evacuate to the nearest bunker. 

All combat units and support units, please go to the south-east area of the city and prepare for combat. Type - Ravager, level - delta. This is not a drill, I repeat, This is not a drill.

The sirens stopped. People are running. People inside the buildings also evacuating to the nearest bunkers, which popped up from the ground, right about when the sirens started.

Some people, tho, are heading to the south-east area of the city. They have to be the combat units.

they quickly got up from the table.

Peters - Let's go immediately. We can continue the conversation later. This is serious.

Ryo - what are ravagers? 

Peters - I'll explain later. 

The 4 of them quickly flicked a switch of some sort from their back.

Akane picked up the gun she put on the floor. 

It was quite big. The gun's design is heavily inspired by shoulder mounted anti-aircraft M82 .50 cal with a custom design. The scope was pretty hefty as well. It had a pretty sleek red and black theme.

She put it on her shoulder and we departed. 

[Ding]

The screen was overlaid by a Game UI of some sort. The blue circle, that's very similar with (Redacted)'s Blue circle. The UI design have a blue theme, extremely simple and sleek design. The circle dropped a menu with some text on it.

He remembered something when he exited the café. He quickly went back to the café and found the barista about to evacuate.

(Redacted)- Ay, Barista, We forgot our bills. Here's 10,000 yen. Keep the change.

He quickly ran out after that. 

Barista was stunned for a bit by the money, but She quickly evacuated like the rest of the civilians. 

After running for a while, they've arrived to the area. The people there are preparing for the upcoming battle and talking to each other. 

[Ding!, Ding!, Ding!, Ding!, ...] 

Many screens popped up, The sound of it will blow up your ears, so The sound have been tuned down extremely.

There were about 100 people, so 100 screens popped up. 

(Redacted)- Wow, That's a lot of people. 

Akane was reading from something in front of her face. It seems like a live stream of some sort. 

Akane - The sirens said that, It was ravagers. What are those? 

Ryo - Yeah, What are those?

(Redacted)- Those are mechs that comes from The fractures. That's the simplest way to put it. 

Peters - Well, That is the most simple way to put it.

He cheekily laughed.

- The first invasion from the fracture was from the mechs. You guys weren't old enough yet at the time. What about the report on the sizes and numbers? 

Akane tapped on her earphone. 

Akane - The sizes and amount are 200 small units, 14 medium units, and 1 large units. That's all it. 

Peters - How long till they arrive here?

Akane - They estimate around 7 minutes until they arrive. The government said, "They have immediately dispatched all units at their disposal, Including the immobilizers." 

She said it with a worried face. 

Ryo - Phew, 

He sighed in relief. 

- Then, We just have to hold out, right?

Akane - Yeah, but They will arrive in 20 minutes. We have to hold for about 15 minutes. 

Peters - Then, prepare now. The rest of the people seems to know that already. They are preparing defenses. 

He pointed at the top of the nearby building, which was occupied by some people already. The buildings near the vicinity are occupied, and with defenses ready. 

- Akane, Go up there. You snipe at the ravagers. Give (Redacted) the stims, give me and Ryo some stabilizers. Ryo, Can you go scout? 

Ryo - Well, I can ... go scout. Wait, What size the small units are?

He said it with some anxiety in his tone.

(Redacted)- About Human size, if i remember.

Peters - Yes, they are. 

His mood was lifted. 

Ryo - I will just stay here. I can take the small units. I'm confident in combat. I have my shadows too. 

(Redacted)- I'm getting the medium units and the large one. I am built to fight big things. 

Peters - Well, That's settled. (Redacted) come with me, Ryo take the small units with others. Akane will provide support with info on the ravager's positions, situation and by immoblizing them. The other parties will do their own things as well. Remember, we just have to hold out. Don't waste all your energy. (Redacted), Connect to the chat room that we are in, 

(Redacted)- Got it. 

Imediately after, Peters shouted. Akane give him some Stimulants, and for Ryo and Peters, She gave them 1 stimulants each. 

- People who think, they can take down medium sizes and large, Please come to me. 

The people heard it, and after a bit, about 25 to 30 people came to him. 

Stranger 1 - Oh, You're that famous gunner. 

Strager 2 - Do you have a plan?

Peters - Well, We take the medium units and large, the rest can protect the town and provide us with support from a safe distance. Do you guys have stims?

Strager 3 - Yes. 

As they were talking, The sound of the ravagers can be heard, quickly approaching. 

(Redacted)- Let's go. 

Stranger 1 - Let's do this. 

They each got on their pets and swords. Some people who don't have any pets or mobility vehicles, got a ride with the one who got them. 

They contacted their parties and explained them, the strategy.

Stranger 1 - Some will be coming after they are done with the preparations. What about the other guys?

All of the other and Peters simultaneously said, Their each respective squad is ready. 

Stranger 2 - Here they come. We have to take the medium sizes first, right?

Peters - Yes, We can let go of the small ones, but if there's a chance, take them out as well. 

Stranger 3 - Got it. 

Peters and (Redacted) leaped off the beast they were riding. All of them immediately got into postion, and used the stimulants.
