Refusing My God’s Advances

Chapter 150: Pump Those Skill Points Pt 1

I smiled at Scarlet and nodded as we reached the final cave. When I turned from her to look at the cave, I let out a small gasp despite myself.

"Wow, those crystals are beautiful!" Scarlet exclaimed, and I couldn't argue with her as I looked in.

This cave was nothing like the rest that we had been through. The cave had to be twice the size of any other, but it was filled with massive crystals that pulsed with all different colors. There were so many crystals that I couldn't see the boss that I was supposed to be fighting.

"Well, I suppose that I should get myself ready this time," I said, turning back to Scarlet, who had her phone out. "What are you doing?"

"The girls wanted to come and watch your last battle, so I am sending them a group message," Scarlet replied, and I shrugged.

"Nice. Then I had better prepare really well. I would hate to look silly in front of everyone," I chuckled, and Scarlet put her phone away and gave me a hug.

"You were amazing in the last fight. I don't think the girls will expect you to be as strong as you are. Not only that, but you lost limbs and barely flinched before healing yourself. I would be terrified to fight an enemy as ferocious as you are," Scarlet explained, and I grinned.

"Now that's what I call a compliment!" I laughed and then waved Scarlet over as I opened up my skill menu.

[253 SKILL POINTS]

"Holy balls, Catman! That is a lot of points!" I exclaimed, but Scarlet pointed to my divine skills.

"Why don't you use the eye to look at the final boss before you pick your skills? You might be able to use Identify on it like that... but how do you have 2 divine blessings?" Scarlet asked, and I frowned.

"I am not sure," I said and then looked at her. "Is this uncommon? I mean, to have two of the Divine bless you?"

"Uncommon? No, it is impossible as far as I know, but you might want to ask Mary when she comes. I think they might know more, but as far as I know, no more than one blessing can be active at the same time," Scarlet explained, and I shrugged, activating the Eye of Eldros.

As I did, the vision in my left eye went dark and a white orb the size of a softball appeared in front of me. I tried to open my left eye, and as I did, a blood-red eye on the orb opened up. I had to close it fast because my brain hurt from being able to see out of both eyes at the same time but in completely different ways. The orb, now active, pulsed with power, and I turned my focus toward the cave, letting the Eye of Eldros guide my vision through the crystal maze.

What I saw was breathtaking and terrifying. Deep within the heart of the cave, nestled among the pulsing crystals, lay a creature that seemed to be made of the same crystalline material, but darker, almost absorbing the light around it. It was vast, easily the size of a small building, with multiple limbs that branched out like the roots of an ancient tree. Its core pulsed with a deep, ominous light, hinting at the immense power it held.

I tried to use Identify, but nothing happened, I hadn't really expected it to with the eye. I figured that there must be a reason why it was out of my line of sight. There was a good chance that this thing could be a legendary-rated creature, but even after studying the creature for about ten minutes, I really wasn't sure how I was going to fight it.

I unsummoned my Eye of Eldros, and thumbed my chin. 253 skill points were a lot, and there was a lot I could do with this many points. The problem was that fighting this thing barehanded was not going to be easy. I had my drill, and it would probably be pretty effective against this creature, but just like with my last enemy, I was not feeling full of confidence.

Closing my skill, I went over to my notifications and looked at my level-up rewards for 200. Last time I had gotten new abilities, so it was best to check them out before picking any skills.

[You have reached level 200! Gain the following:]

1. Class Change
2. Skill Point Rank Conversion
3. 4000 Stat Points (Unused Stat points below level 200 are lost)
4. 6th Passive Skill Slot
5. 12th Skill Slot
6. 1000 Material Points
7. 50 Character Points
8. 100 Skill Points
9. Portable Printer

"Oh?! Is today Christmas?! What is this lovely Portable Printer?" I asked, and my system replied with a description of the item.

[Portable Printer: Printing device that you wear on your wrist that can print weapons, armor, and other simple items. Must preload designs to print. Print time is instant, and has no cool down, but you are limited to supplies that you collect or receive from your Material Lottery. All supports and infills are set to standard and have no effects.]

"That seems really useful," Scarlet said, and I nodded, but sighed.

"Very, but I am not home right now, so I can load anything onto it. That makes it useless for now," I said, but then mentally requested a description for Skill Point Rank Conversion.

[Skill Point Rank Conversion: This ability allows you to use Skill Points to help skills evolve. Each skill will now show a total number of Skill Points needed to evolve.]

"Now that is a useful ability!" I said, snapping my fingers, and then went back to my skill menu, opened up my Soulforge Master skill, and selected the Skill Point Rank Conversion tab, but then winced.

[(Legendary) Soulforge Master: 0/2800 Skill Points until Skill Evolution.]
