Reincarnated as Itsuka Shido: Collecting Spirits as Lovers

On the way to school, Shido walked alongside Tohka and Kotori. The morning air was brisk, but their cheerful chatter warmed the atmosphere.

Soon, they arrived at an intersection, where Kotori had to part ways as her school was in the other direction.

"Well then, Onii-chan, Tohka, I'll see you later!" Kotori waved cheerfully, preparing to leave.

"Bye-bye, Kotori!" Tohka exclaimed, happily waving back.

Kotori, however, lingered. She stepped closer to Shido as her expression changed.

Without warning, she grabbed his necktie forcefully, tugging him down so close that their faces were mere inches apart. 

Seeing that she pulled his face too close, Kotori couldn't help but remember what happened before when her perverted brother wanted to take her chaste lips.

A faint pinkness appeared on her cheeks but she didn't let go of his necktie as she whispered to Shido with a hint of hatred. 

"Onii-chan..."

Her tone tinged with mock sweetness, though her eyes hinted at mischief and unresolved frustration. "I still haven't forgiven you for what you did during breakfast. So be prepared for payback."

She released his tie abruptly and skipped away, waving back with a beaming smile, as though her earlier display was an illusion.

"Bye-bye, Onii-chan, Tohka!"

"Bye-bye!" Tohka waved with unabashed enthusiasm, entirely unaware of the sibling's silent exchange.

As Kotori's figure disappeared into the distance, Tohka clung to Shido's arm with her usual exuberance. "Let's go, Shido!" she declared, tugging at him with a bright smile. This habit of hers had become a regular part of their routine, leaving Shido with conflicting emotions.

Although he didn't mind, her proactiveness was really something he wasn't used to but he couldn't say he disliked it.

He sighed internally. 'Why did Kotori have to teach her so much… inappropriate knowledge?'

The days following Tohka's arrival were filled with chaotic yet oddly warm moments. It didn't take long for Shido to realize that Kotori's influence on Tohka was both a blessing and a curse.

Under Kotori's "guidance," Tohka was learning about human customs and behaviors, but her innocence was almost perilously exploited by Kotori's mischievous ideas.

Shido couldn't help but think she was one step away from outright corrupting the pure Spirit.

One such incident occurred when Shido was relaxing in the bath, enjoying the rare solitude after a hectic day. The sound of the door creaking open made him freeze.

"Shido!" Tohka's voice rang out confidently at first, but it wavered when she saw his naked body inside. Her face instantly turned beet red as her gaze darted everywhere but at him.

"What are you doing in here?!" Shido practically yelled, hastily covering himself.

Tohka was only wearing a bath towel that fitted her body perfectly showing her gorgeous curves and spotless white skin.

Tohka clasped her hands nervously in front of her. "K-Kotori said I should learn more about human customs… so I thought…" Her voice trailed off into almost inaudible.

Shido pinched the bridge of his nose in exasperation. "Tohka… why would you come in here if you're blushing that much?" he muttered to himself, noticing how her cheeks were almost glowing like embers.

In the end, she didn't even manage to step further inside and scampered out in a flustered huff, leaving Shido with a mix of relief and disappointment. It was a torture for him as he had already become hard looking at her half-naked seductive body that was as smooth as jade. 

Yet, it didn't end there.

On several occasions, Tohka had taken to sneaking into his bed at night. The first time it happened, Shido woke to find her sleeping soundly next to him hugging his body tightly.

Her peaceful expression was illuminated by the faint glow of moonlight streaming through the curtains. She looked so bashful as her face blushing fiercely yet stunningly charming that it caught him completely off guard.

"Tohka… why are you sleeping here?" he whispered softly, though he knew she was too fast asleep to hear him.

The next morning, she had stammered some excuse about feeling cold and wanting to "experience human closeness". He knew full well that Kotori had something to do with it. 

With a sigh, Shido muttered to himself, "It's like I'm living in some kind of rom-com novel."

He could only hope things wouldn't escalate further. Yet deep down, a small part of him knew better than to believe that hope.

Still, as he glanced at Tohka's cheerful face, her innocence shining through her smiles, he couldn't help but feel protective. Shaking his head, he made a resolve to keep her away from the darkness of this world, no matter what.

Just as Shido was about to open his system to review last night's battle rewards, Tohka's pout interrupted him. She tugged at his blazer with an adorable expression.

"Shido... I'm hungry." she said, rubbing her stomach for emphasis.

Shido let out a bitter smile. "Didn't we just eat breakfast? And you also eat half of Kotori's breakfast too."

"But I'm hungry now!" Tohka insisted, her whine growing louder.

Shido sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"You're really too spoiled sometimes—"

Before he could finish, the loud voices of a familiar trio interrupted.

"Look, look! Shido is bullying Tohka!" exclaimed Ai, with exaggerated disbelief.

"Wow, is this some kind of BDSM play?" Mai chimed in with a shocked expression.

"That's so lame." Mii added, her voice dripping with a hint of disgust.

Shido's face darkened.

"I'm not bullying Tohka! And it's NOT a BDSM play!!!"

His voice boomed as he turned toward the mischievous trio, they squealed dramatically in response, laughing as they ran off.

Shido sighed heavily, already drained despite the day barely starting. "Seriously, what's wrong with those three?"

Suddenly he felt a tug at his sleeve.

When he turned his head, he saw that it was Tohka looking at him curiously

"Shido, what's BDSM? Is it something tasty?" she asked, her innocent eyes wide with genuine curiosity.

Shido stiffened. A vein in his temple throbbed as he struggled to find a response.

"You shut up."

"Oof"

He hurriedly bought a big Kinako bread on his system which cost him 50 SP, and stuffed it in her mouth which she then happily ate, forgetting everything that just happened.

Tohka's eyes sparkled as she bit into it. "Mmm~" she was finally put into silence, her earlier question was completely forgotten as she focused entirely on her snack.

With Tohka appeased, Shido took a deep breath and finally opened his system interface, eager to see the results of the previous night's battle.

Looking at these numbers, Shido felt satisfied. 'For my first real battle, this isn't half bad', he thought with a smirk.

This was also the first time he truly experienced earning EXP, SP, and SF through combat rather than by completing quests.
