( Yuuki's POV )

I crossed through a stone arch that connects to a small island, in the center of the place, there was a dead tree and the boss of this area.

A kind of humanoid lion carrying a long sword, its body was somewhat thin, but that doesn't mean it wasn't dangerous, just a little dangerous.

The creature attacked as soon as it saw me, it jumped into the air and grabbed the sword with both hands, and tried to crush my head with the blunt side of its sword, that was a very telegraphed attack, and dodging was easy but I decided not to, I raised my axe and received his direct attack but he couldn't move me an inch, so I swung my axe and he used his long sword to block but not like me he was pushing back and he had trouble holding his sword.

Then I used a jump attack and I spun in the air to give myself more power, the attack was very fast and the creature did not have the desire to choose between dodging or defending, he raised his sword but my axe passed through it as if it were nothing and the creature's body was no better at stopping my axe, I cut it in half and those two parts fell to the sides.

After defeating the boss I returned to where I found Commander Edgar but he was no longer there, I left the castle and there I found him hugging his daughter, I didn't want to interrupt the moment but when they heard me coming they all turned to me, Edgar walked with determination and shook my hand strongly.

Edgar: I am in your debt, traveler, for protecting this place and for protecting my precious daughter, I am no longer bound by duty, I can dedicate the rest of my days to Irina.

Irina: Father.

Yuuki: That's good, I was thinking of taking this place for myself.

Erica: Yuuki, what are you saying?

I took some of the huge amount of food Astraea had packed so we could relax, we needed to get back to our world soon, but in order not to stress ourselves out with things beyond our control, I told the others to view this as a personal camping trip.

While we were eating, Edgar and Irina told us about this place called the Lands Between, which was the shell of a once prosperous land that was now a dog-eat-dog world, most importantly, they told us that the golden tree we were looking for was called the Erdtree, fascinating information.

When night came I met up with Erica and the others, I told them that we might probably be stuck here for a few days and asked them to go while I explored the place, I needed them to stay and protect the others, and I had a pleasant surprise Erica did not object, I was happy so I decided to give them something that was a little gift for when Liliana and she finished their basic training.

From the katana I had taken from the enemy on our previous trip, I created two swords especially for them, they had abilities that they had to awaken with training, and here they could dedicate themselves to that.

The next day, I was at the entrance of the castle with the others there to send me on my journey, my clothes were not common in this place, so I dressed in an old armor that I found in the castle.

Irina: Have a good trip, Mr. Yuuki, please don't hesitate to come back if things get tough.

I was about to mount Grimm and leave on my journey, but before that, I remembered that I had to thank Irina for the information she and her father had given us.

Yuuki: Irina, could you crouch down?

Irina was confused by what I said but she did it anyway, I put a hand over the bandage on her eyes and I used powerful healing magic, It wasn't my first time curing blindness and I confidently removed her bandages, she looked at me speechless but I didn't wait for an answer, I jumped on Grimm and began my exploration, as the castle disappeared from sight, Astraea appeared and flew alongside Grimm.
