Rinnegan As Option

After school, Ichika, Kushina, and Minato make their way to the sweet shop to buy snacks. Kushina loves sweets, she buys them and brings them home. She also complains about Tsunade stealing them.

Along the way Ichika wants to train his swordsmen skills, during his fight with the bandit, he feels like he needs to train more, but to train more, you need the evaluation from someone better than you.

He could ask his sister but she isn't a master swordswoman. There is one in the whole village who can give him his swordmen skill none other than Sakumo Hatake.

The best swordsman of his generation, he could even run for the fourth Hokage if he wanted to, and no villager would reject him. This is how much the village respects him, the best of the best.

Ichika does visit Sakumo sometime but that was rarely. Ichika respects Sakumo because of how strong he is, even though he doesn't have the chakra pool of Kage level.

Kakashi has a chakra pool of an elite jōnin or close to a low kage level, yet he is still one of the most powerful ninjas on the planet.

"Minato is Mr. Hatake in the village?" Ichika asks as he doesn't know when Sakumo is in the village. Minato knows when he is out because he trains him; more like just a guide but still.

"He should be, he told me that he was going to take a break as his wife is currently pregnant," Minato said.

"Alright then, we going there, I need to evaluate my swordsmen skills"

"When did you start to learn swordsmen?" Kushina asked, she had never seen him use or practice a sword before.

"Just a couple of months now. I only know the basics so far" He answered.

*humph* Ichika doesn't understand women at all, well maybe because he didn't tell her that he is using a sword.

They make their way to Sakumo Hatake's house, Sakumo was in his yard practicing and relaxing.

*Knock* *Knock* it was Ichika that knocked.

"Hold on" Mrs. Hatake answered. In the original series, she died when Kakashi was young leaving him to be with his father and then his death came after. "Ichika, how may I help you?" she asked.

"Mrs. Hatake, I was wondering if I could test my swordsmen skill with Mr. Hatake" Ichika answered honestly and Mrs. Hatake also knew that he loved to get to the point instead of beating around the bushes.

"I believe he wouldn't mind, you could stay for a while" It has been a while since there is anything in the house, they don't have any visits.

"I'll take the invitation" Ichika doesn't mind taking his time here.

Kushina stayed inside with Mrs. Hatake, while Minato and Ichika went to the backyard.

"Mr. Hatake, so for bothering" Ichika as exited to the backyard.

"No, problem, so I overheard that you need some evaluation of your swordsmen's skill" Being a ninja of course he could hear, they aren't that far anyway.

"Yes"

Sakumo went to grab his sword, more like just a wooden sword. Ichika obviously used a wooden sword too, it was a replication of his long sword.

"Long sword?" Sakumo doesn't use a long sword, he uses a straight-bladed tantō with a small, circular hand-guard. This later would belong to Kakashi.

They got into position and with Minato here, they asked him to be the match starter. When Minato gives the signal.

Ichika's launch forward using the Sword technique "Afterglow" intends to deliver a fast and effective blow.

This was easily deflected by Sakumo, and after that, he struck for a middle cut. Also, this one deflected, Sakumo after deflecting off Ichika's middle-cut strick, and he went for the leg.

Ichika didn't have his sword to protect them as his sword had just been parried by Sakumo.

The strength and speed of Sakumo completely outmatched Ichika, but one thing that Ichika had an advantage of was his perception.

Using his extraordinary precept he calculated the best spot he should be to avoid the incoming attack while also going for an over-cut.

With the calculation he delivered that he needed to move fast and it was within 200 milliseconds, and he did and went for the over-cut.

He didn't anticipate that Sakumo was just not going for the lead, it was meant for the under-cut to deliver a blow to his hand.

*Bam*

A sword flew out from Ichika's hand, Ichika realized that he had yet to even go to the level of novice swordsmen. This fight was less than 20 seconds.

"Your perspective is beyond the regular however your swordsmen's skills are average" Sakumo gave the evaluation.

After the evaluation, they just went inside and did something like eating.

Mrs. Hatake was more than happy to have someone accompanying her, her home was usually empty.

After a while, they all went back home.

Ichika asked his sister for sword practice which she happily gave him.
