Rita's Unseen Destiny.

Chapter 41: The Perfect Crime.

Stessy's laughter sent chills down Rayan's spine, "Oh, Rayan. You really are naive. The baby is a leverage point. A way to control Rita. And through Rita, we can control Carlson.

Rayan's eyes widened in horror, "you can't be serious. You are talking about using an innocent baby as a pawn in your game."

Stessy's voice was cold, calculating, "innocent! Ha! There is no such thing in our world, Rayan. And if you want to survive, you will remember that "

Rayan knew he had to act fast. He couldn't let Stassy harm the baby or use her leverage. He made a decision," stessy, I won't let you hurt the baby. I will do whatever it takes to protect her."

Stessy's laughter echoed through the phone, "Oh, Rayan. You are so predictable. You think you can stop me? I will crush you like the insignificant insect that you are."

Rayan's grip on the phone tightened, "I am not a fraud of you, stessy. And I will prove it to you."

The line went dead, and Rayan knew he had to act fast. He has to protect the baby and Rita from stessy evil plans. He made a vow to himself," I will do whatever it takes to keep them safe. "

The next day, stessy, consumed by jealousy and desperation, hatched a sinister plan. She hired Evans, a shady individual, to sneak into the neonatal intensive care unit and abduct Rita's newborn baby.

Evans, disguised as a health worker, confidently walked into the hospital, blending in with the bustling medical staff. He had carefully observed the hospital's routines and knew exactly where to go. He made his way to the neonatal intensive care unit, his heart racing with anticipation.

With a swift and practical motion, Evans scooped up the tiny baby from the bassinet and tucked her into a small ,specially designed bag. He glanced around cautiously but the nurses and doctors were too engrossed in their work to notice the subtitle switch.

Evans quickly exited the hospital, the baby secure in the bag. He pulled out his phone and dialed Stessy's number, his voice low and urgent. It's done. I have the baby. But I don't see the payment in my account.

Stessy's voice was calm and calculating on the other end of the line. " Ah, Evans, dear. You will get your money. Just bring the baby to me first at the airport. I need to make sure everything is in order before I transfer the funds. "

Evan's gut twisted with unease, something didn't feel right. He had expected stessy to pay him upfront, not use the baby as leverage. But he pushed a side his doubts, convincing himself that the payoff would be worth it.

" Fine, he growled tucking the phone away, I will bring the baby to you. But you would better be ready to pay me the moment I hand it over."

As Evans disappeared into the shadows, the hospital security cameras captured only a fleeting glimpse of a figure in a white coat, the baby's tiny form obscured by the bag. The perfect crime, or so it seemed.

Stessy paced back and forth at the airport, her eyes fixed on the clock. She had only thirty minutes left before her flight to England departed, and she still hadn't received the baby yet from Evans. She quickly dailed Evan's number, her anger growing with each ring. "Evans, where are you? You are supposed to bring me the baby!"

Evan's voice was calm and collected on the other end of the line. "No money, no baby, stessy. You know the deal? "

Stessy's eyes narrowed. " You are playing games with me, Evans? I don't think so. I have already paid you half the money. Now bring me the baby!"

Evans chuckled. " You think I am stupid, stessy? I want all the money before I hand over the baby. And right now, I am not seeing any money in my account."

Stessy's voice rose in frustration. Evans, don't play dumb! You know exactly what I am talking about. Now bring me the baby, or I will call the police!"

Evans sighed and picked up the baby, who had been quietly sleeping in his arms. He put the baby on the phone, and the sound of the baby's cry filled the line.

"Listen, stessy. I have got the baby right here, but like I said, no money, no baby, you want the baby, pay me the rest of the money." After that, Evans ended the call.

Evans waited anxiously for the money to be transferred, but instead of reviewing a notification from his bank account, he got a text message from stessy.

"My flight is about to depart. You can keep the baby. Do with it whatever you want. I am not here anymore. I am going to spend the rest of my life in England.

Evan's eyes widened in disbelief as he read the message. "What? No money! She can't just leave me with the baby like this!"

He tried calling stessy, but her phone was already switched off. Panic set in as he realized he was now responsible for the baby's care, with no money to support it.

The baby, sensing Evan's distress, began to cry. Evans tried to calm her down, but his mind was racing. What was he going to do? He couldn't take care of a baby on his own!

As the reality of the situation sunk in, Evans felt a wave of anger towards stessy. How could she do this to him? He was her partner in crime, not some babysitter.

But as he looked down at the baby, he saw the innocence and vulnerability in her eyes. He knew he had to do what was best for her, even if it meant sacrificing his own interests.

Evans gazed down at the baby's worn clothes and realized he needed to get her some new ones. He couldn't very well keep her in the same outfit. Stessy had left her in. So, he set off to the nearby store to buy some adorable little clothes and a cozy blanket to keep her warm.
