Chapter 4: Chapter:4 Clash Against the Darkness
The golden aura around Yuto flared like a raging inferno, the ground beneath him cracking under the sheer force of his transformation. His hair, once jet-black, now shimmered with a golden hue, and his eyes gleamed with an electric green intensity. His body felt lighter, yet infinitely more powerful, as if the limits that had once bound him were no longer relevant.
The cultivators in the hall froze, their weapons lowered as they stared in awe. Even Elder Karun, who had stood unmoved by countless battles, seemed shaken by the overwhelming energy radiating from Yuto.
"What… what kind of power is this?" Karun muttered, his voice barely audible.
The Darkness being, however, was far from awestruck. It growled, its green eyes narrowing as it braced itself against the force of Yuto's energy. "You think a mere transformation will save you? I am eternal. I am inevitable."
Yuto stepped forward, his golden aura crackling around him. His voice was steady, yet carried a weight of confidence he hadn't felt before. "Maybe you're eternal, but so is hope. And I'm not going to let you destroy it."
With a burst of speed, Yuto closed the distance between them in the blink of an eye. His first strike was a crushing uppercut, the impact sending the Darkness being hurtling into the ceiling with a thunderous crash. Before it could recover, Yuto was already above it, his hands clasped together as he brought them down in a hammer blow that sent the creature plummeting into the ground.
The floor shattered under the force of the impact, and a cloud of dust and debris filled the hall. The cultivators shielded their faces, their disbelief turning to cautious hope as they watched Yuto dominate the enemy.
The Darkness being snarled, rising from the rubble. Its armor was cracked, and its movements were sluggish, but its hatred burned brighter than ever. "You… will not… win!" it bellowed, its form swelling as it drew in energy from the surrounding air. Tendrils of shadow snaked outward, twisting and writhing as they lashed toward Yuto.
He dodged with ease, weaving through the onslaught of dark tendrils like a dancer. His movements were fluid, precise, and instinctive, as though he had trained for years in this new form. He felt unstoppable.
Yuto extended his hand, and a golden sphere of energy began to form in his palm, growing larger and more volatile with each passing second. The air around him grew heavy with power, and the cultivators gasped as they felt the sheer magnitude of the attack he was preparing.
The Darkness being roared, launching itself at Yuto in a desperate bid to stop him. But Yuto was ready. With a shout that echoed through the hall, he hurled the golden sphere straight at the creature.
"Take this!" he yelled, his voice reverberating with power. "Final Flash!"
The energy blast streaked toward the Darkness being, illuminating the entire hall in a blinding golden light. The creature raised its arms in a futile attempt to block the attack, but the force of the blast was too great. The explosion that followed was deafening, shaking the entire temple and sending shockwaves across the plateau.
When the light finally faded, the hall wassilent. The Darkness being was gone, reduced to nothing but ashes scattered across the shattered floor. Yuto hovered in the air for a moment, his golden aura flickering as his transformation began to fade. He landed gently, his knees buckling as exhaustion overtook him.
The cultivators rushed forward, their faces a mixture of relief and amazement. Elder Karun placed a steadying hand on Yuto's shoulder, his voice filled with respect. "You have done what no one else could. You've defeated the Darkness."
Yuto looked up at him, his breath labored. "I didn't do it alone," he said, glancing at the group around him. "I wouldn't have made it this far without you."
The silver-haired woman stepped forward, her expression unreadable. "This victory is only the beginning," she said, her tone grave. "The Darkness is persistent. What you destroyed today was merely an emissary. The true source of its power lies elsewhere."
Yuto's heart sank. He had barely managed to survive this battle, and now he was being told that the real fight was still ahead of him. "So what now?" he asked, his voice tinged with frustration.
The woman placed a hand on his chest, over the faintly glowing mark that had appeared there during his transformation. "Now, you must train. Your Saiyan bloodline is a gift, but it is also a burden. To face what lies ahead, you must learn to harness your power fully."
Yuto nodded slowly, determination replacing his exhaustion. "Then teach me. If I'm going to survive in this world—and protect it—I need to be ready."
The silver-haired woman smiled faintly, a glimmer of hope in her eyes. "Very well. Your training begins tomorrow. Welcome to the Golden Dragon Sect, Yuto Akiyama."
As the cultivators began to clean up the remnants of the battle, Yuto gazed out at the horizon, where the twin suns were setting behind the mountains. He had no idea what challenges awaited him, but for the first time, he felt a sense of purpose.
This wasn't just about surviving anymore. It was about fighting for a world that had given him a second chance.
