Shakira-Shakira X Captain Heyy

Chapter 2: CHAPTER TWO

Shakira was at the bus stop waiting as the rain poured down. The sounds of the water falling got heavier each pasting moment. By the time her bus came to the stop, the streets were flooded by an inch of rain.

She got on the bus and claimed a seat in the middle. It was close to empty, only a few people in their middle ages. One was all the way in the back but she was sure you could smell the guys odor from the first row. Another woman had what looked like a cat in a travel kennel. Really, it was just a fat rat or possibly a possum. I'm sure not ending up like them. Or… maybe I am! Shakira thought to herself as she stressed about her future. Constantly going back and forth what her ultimate outcome would be like in ten years.

In ten years, I'll be financial aid at or even bigger company than Wasco Tech! Yeah. I'll be living in a well off neighborhood or maybe even those rich people apartments! Yes, I'll be better than everyone!

After ten minutes of self reflection, Shakira convinced herself that her life will be sunshine and rainbows within the future.

Once the bus came to a stop, Shakira got out and walked across the street to the flee markets. There, hundreds of people crowd the scene. She could hardly see who was what and what is who. From the corner of her eye, she saw someone running into an alley way. But Shakira could care less since it wasn't her duty anyways. She walked around for a little until she found a poster on a wall with the city's hero Captain Heyy.

"Be the Hero, Not the Villain."

"What a cheesy catch phrase." Shakira thought aloud. Clearly in dislike of the idea of any phrase at all. Super hero's were overrated, over due, boring to the public eye. Real hero's are police, firefighters, and doctors. No one would even pay attention to this guy, at least back in San Diego, where Shakira lived the rest of her childhood, they sure wouldn't.

She kept walking until she spotted something off. Some guy was flirting with a woman. The woman clearly uninterested. But the guy insist that he takes her home. This guy is out of luck, Shakira thought. Who would even want to be near this weirdo? This pervert. A wolf in sheep's clothing.

The man then tugged on the woman, forcing her away. Shakira couldn't do just nothing. She stood there until the man dragged them far enough so she can go after them.

The guy ran away with the woman in his arms. She screamed and cried for help. Shakira followed those screams. Then, she ended up at a warehouse.

Most streets around this neighborhood had warehouse-looking doors that could slide up and open. But it was locked. Shakira then looked up to the window. Every door like this in the city had one for emergency reasons. She climbed the overload dumpster and jumped near the balcony of the window seal. She hung there with her arms up and her fingers being the only ones holding her up. They started to slip. She scooted so she can regain whatever grip she lost before pulling herself up.

Once she was up, Shakira opened the large windows. Just enough to fit inside. She looked around the empty and cold space. Nothing. It was silent in the whole place. How can this be? They were just here!

She climbed down and looked around without making a sound. A loud thud interrupted the quietness in the room. Shakira ran towards the noise and was lost in a hallway that was cemented like the garage she came from. Kicking down the metal door with the strength she had left, she busted down the door and looked around.

The woman from earlier turned to her in confusion. With a thick sassy white-person accent, she spoke loudly as if Shakira was the one doing wrong. "Who the fUCK are you?" With each word coming out in a different pitch but in same tone.

"I-I thought something happen to you. A guy came and dragged you away!" Shakira looked frightened and confused at the same time.

"Oooooh yeah. He's my boyfriend." The girl giggled. "He gets really really mad sometimes."

Shakira stared at her with a face, What the fuck is wrong with you? She desided not to get too deep in this conversation. "Well you do you then." She turned and went away.

The sassy girl kept staring at Shakira. Once she left completely, the girl went away and felt her pockets. This girl likes shortie jeans, sparkle belts, and… She looked down at her feet. Fur boots? This chick is stuck in the 2000's. After checking out her clothes, she found a flip phone. "Wow, so 2000's!" Clearly annoyed with who she was. After dialing a number she placed the phone near her ear. "Hey Cap." Murmurs on the phone. "Mmh!" … "Yah huh! Got it."

She closed the phone and stomped on it with her boots. Once it was in bits, she picked them up and walked out through the hallway, out the sliding wall, and threw it away in a small can.

A van pulled up and she got in. Closing the door behind her, she sat in the built in couches. The party van even had a table of food set up for her. Raw meats on ice. "Chicken? Ugh, I fucking hate chicken." She complained.

"Hey there McKen!" The driver guy smiled. As he drove them downtown.

"X! Tell Captain Heyy, no more chicken!" McKenzie whined as she was over dramatic about the situation. "He knows I don't eat this disgusting bird!"

Xx turned back to her, "You got it, McKen!" The driver, Xx, has nice heathy brown hair that is just the right length for a male. Long eyelashes, rosy lips and cheeks, with this soft look. He was perfect, like any Asian who gets mistaken for those Chinese actors. X isn't Chinese, he's Filipino. But it's okay since he doesn't have any sort of feelings of any kind.

The sun seemed to fade away as they reached back to a large mansion that sat in the suburb side of the city. McKenzie was asleep in her original form, all curled up in the front seat like a dog. She was only five feet in length. She looked like a giant lizard. Her petite body was smooth with her spine showing from the position she was in. She woke up after hitting a bump on the road. Her bright yellow eyes illuminated as they widened from the shock.

Outside, it was nothing but small houses at least within half a mile apart between each one. They finally made it to the mansion around midnight. McKenzie crawled onto Xx's back as they walked up to the entrance. A little camera opened and scanned the two of them. McKenzie stared into the lens making it look silly at the other end.

Shakira was in her crappy apartment, laying on the couch. The walls felt like they'll close in even if your not scared of small spaces. The vibe was dead, and only the sounds of neighbors from above or below can be heard unless you turn of the A/C. She got up and walked to turn of the TV. She couldn't find the remote so now she had to manually control it from the buttons it came with on the back. She memorized which one did so she could look at the screen as well. Top one was the power, second was settings which does need the remote to actually change anything, third and forth one is the volume, and last two are to change channels.

Shakira couldn't afford for cable so she only had whatever was free. With her new income, she could be out of here by next year. She managed to switch on the music channel. Any free channel like this doesn't include the music video. Cooking shows were low budget and only had recipes to lose weight. Game shows were boring, they didn't even have new ones playing. It was all pre recorded from older episodes of seasons back in the 90's. The only current shows were for babies or older kids. There has been rumors about channels moving into streaming. Kids channels already made free apps to advertise their content with on-the-go episodes. It bothered Shakira only because it meant that there will be no more free cable soon.

She got an email on her phone for Monday's interview. She picked it up and read it aloud.

"Dear Shakira-Shakira,

We have looked over your resume and we have finally came to the conclusion to proceed in hiring you with an in-person interview. This meeting will take place here at Wasco Tech, top floor in the main office. With past records, we have noticed lack of work experience and will have to place you in a lower level of status for a year until you can reach full time.

-Wasco Tech"

She started down at the acceptance letter, taking deep thought of what just happened. She wouldn't get the income she was promised until a year later all because she has never worked before in her life. The orphanage payed off all of her college loans so there was never a need to actually work for it. Now this company doesn't even trust her. How great.

Jaxson was in his bed as the drips of water from the ceiling woke him from his slumber. He had eyebags from how much he lacked of sleep. But how could he if he has to worry about his Aunties. "He took them from me," he grumbled. "My only family I had left."

He got up and opened the vent that led outside. It was still pouring from this morning, it didn't seem like it would stop any time soon. He grabbed his gun from his waistband and point it at the target. The target was a poster of the city's hero Captain Heyy with his cringy catch phrase imprinted on it as well. It looked like it already been shot at multiple times. That whore will get no satisfaction when he finds me… Captain, when I catch you Captain!
