Chapter 81: Chapter 81: Race Between The Two!
Rossweise: "Make the teacher's dragon tattoo glow."
Rossweise extended her hand, her fingertip tracing circles on Leon's chest. "Leon, hurry up and finish your homework. Be quick, okay?"
In ordinary terms, Rossweise was essentially forcing Leon to take the initiative to do something with her.
A classic case of old wine in a new bottle.
Leon gripped the bedsheet tightly. "Sorry, teacher, I'm not very good at this kind of homework."
"Oh dear, I've already taught this in class. How can you still not know?"
Rossweise held Leon's hand and placed it on her waist.
The soft sensation of the beauty's waist and abdomen was unmistakable.
Leon swallowed hard.
"Let the teacher review it with you. Like this... slowly feel it~"
She leaned down, her warm breath lightly brushing Leon's face. That faint fragrance emanating from her body enveloped him, instantly overwhelming him.
Her silvery hair cascaded down, tickling his nose, creating a subtle itch, tingling and numbing him.
Leon struggled to control his instincts.
But unfortunately...
Your opponent is the dragon tattoo.
Rossweise's cheeks suddenly flushed red. She lowered her head to look and saw the dragon tattoo on her chest glowing brightly.
"Well done, Leon. You grasped the key points so quickly~"
Leon turned his head away, avoiding the gaze of the dragoness. "I-I finished the homework. Is that enough now?"
He knew full well it was far from over, but he still wanted to ask.
Just in case this dragoness decided to be merciful and let him go—
"Of course not~"
Alright, dream shattered.
"This is just a little post-class exercise. Leon, you haven't even submitted your actual homework yet."
The dragon tattoo gradually began to resonate.
Once again, Leon was defeated by this dragoness—
There was an inexplicable feeling of "winning in identical ways, but losing in myriad forms."
Leon's mouth grew drier, and his body started becoming restless and uneasy.
His trembling hand slid up from Rossweise's waist, tracing higher.
Rossweise tilted her head slightly, closed her eyes, and enjoyed the delightful sensation.
"Leon, you're being naughty now..."
Leon began doing his homework.
He gripped the pen, scribbling vigorously on the notebook. The pen tip scratched against the smooth white paper, producing a rustling sound.
Because his writing pace was so fast, there were inevitably some flaws and mistakes. Fortunately, Rossweise had prepared plenty of correction fluid for him.
With the teacher-student cooperation, over an hour later, Leon handed in his homework.
Rossweise scraped off the correction fluid on the homework sheet and had Leon check it over carefully.
After confirming the completion of everything, Leon asked,"Teacher... can class be dismissed now?"
"Hmm? Still not yet."
"Why? I already handed in the homework."
"The homework you handed in is only for one subject. There are still six more subjects left to go."
Leon: ?
"Teacher, you're really a homework demon."
"Enough nonsense, Leon. Brace yourself and get ready to stay up all night doing homework~"
In the brightly lit classroom, the young man buried his head in hard work, writing vigorously.
This was destined to be a laborious night.
Some fires, when it's time to burn, will inevitably ignite.
The essence lies in being late but still arriving.
(Big Sister Isa: So the ambiguous play happening in my home was all part of your "play" too?)
———
Early the next morning, a family of four stood in the front yard, waiting for the Leviathan dragon school bus.
Leon had two heavy dark circles under his eyes, looking dizzy and barely able to stand upright.
Noah and Luna stared at him curiously.
"Why do you look like you didn't sleep again?" Noah asked.
"Ah... I stayed up too late doing homework," Leon replied groggily.
Noah raised an eyebrow. "Homework? Adults have homework too?"
"Kids have their homework, and adults, of course, have theirs as well," Rossweise interjected smoothly.
Noah nodded, refraining from asking further.
Luna blinked her pretty eyes, glanced at her mom, then at her dad, and excitedly said,
"Luna discovered a super amazing pattern."
The three of them turned to look at the little girl.
"It's like, when Mom is in good shape, Dad becomes super weak; and when Dad is in good shape, Mom becomes super weak. Right? It must be like that!"
Though it sounded odd, it did seem... quite accurate.
The relationship between Rossweise and Leon was like a seesaw—someone was always up, and someone was always down.
As for who played the "teacher" and who the "student," it depended on who seized control first.
Leon patted Luna's little head. "Good girl, you're so smart! If anyone dares say you're only good at being cute, Dad will fight them first."
While they were chatting, the Leviathan gradually appeared and hovered above the temple.
Noah ran over, turned back, and waved to them.
A beam of light descended, transporting Noah onto the Leviathan.
The giant dragon slowly departed, disappearing into the horizon.
Leon picked up Luna. "What do you want to do today?"
Luna thought for a moment and replied, "Let's go to the training ground to exercise."
"Exercise? Why the sudden interest?"
Luna shook her little head and quickly explained, "It's not an interest. It's because Dad always looks so weak. That must mean you lack exercise, so I have to supervise you more. It's good for Mom too."
Upon hearing this, the couple blushed.
Rossweise hastily corrected, "How does Dad exercising help Mom? It's all for his own good."
"No, no! If Dad gets stronger, he can protect Mom better."
Oh.
'S-So it was a misunderstanding, haha~'
"And I want to practice more myself to become stronger."
Dragons inherently have a deep desire for strength ingrained in their bones.
Even a gentle and well-behaved little dragon girl like Luna couldn't help but want to become "stronger."
It wasn't about defeating or overcoming anyone. As she put it:
"I want to catch up to my sister."
Leon, of course, didn't refuse. "Alright, Dad will take you."
He carried Luna to the temple's backyard.
Rossweise thought for a moment, then turned and went upstairs.
Father and daughter arrived at the training ground track and began warming up.
Leon explained a few simple warm-up exercises and their purposes to Luna.
"First is stretching. Stretching is an important step during warm-ups. It helps your body relax gradually, increases flexibility, and reduces the risk of injury during exercise."
As he spoke, Leon spread his legs shoulder-width apart, raised one arm, and placed his other hand on his waist, demonstrating a standard stretching pose.
Luna watched carefully and mimicked him.
"Next is walking to warm up. It wakes up your body and helps it gradually adjust to increased difficulty and rhythm."
The two of them walked briskly back and forth at the starting line.
Leon took big but slow strides, while Luna, with her short legs, had to move quickly to keep up.
After completing several warm-up exercises, they were ready to start running.
"Count me in."
A voice came from behind.
The two turned around to see Rossweise.
She had changed out of her usual long dress and was now wearing a light sports outfit. Her long silver hair was tied into a high ponytail, swaying behind her, making her look tall and athletic.
"Mom, don't you have work today?" Luna asked.
"Hmm, it's not too busy these days. What, don't you want Mom to join?"
"No, no! It's the best if Mom joins."
Rossweise bent down and rubbed Luna's head. "Then you better give it your all, Luna. Mom won't go easy on you."
"Okay! Luna won't go easy on Mom either." The little dragon girl was brimming with energy and fighting spirit.
Leon rotated his ankles and teased, "Are you sure you can do this with your sedentary lifestyle? Don't twist your ankle out there."
"Ah, I really don't move much."
Rossweise stretched lazily and did a few lunges. "The last time I broke a sweat was probably when I gave you a good beating on the training field."
"Correction, it was a narrow victory, not a beating," Leon tried to save face from his previous defeat.
"Say what you want; I still won."
"Hey, you—"
"If you're unhappy, let's go another round."
"Yay! Dad and Mom are going for another round." Luna clapped her hands, her excitement evident as she watched the spectacle unfold.
Leon quickly crouched down and covered his daughter's mouth. "Kids shouldn't always think about fighting. It's rude."
Luna tilted her head, innocently asking, "Is it because Dad can't beat Mom?"
Leon's face turned red. "W-What do you mean I can't beat her? I just don't want to hurt her."
The little dragon girl looked doubtful. "Really, Dad?"
Leon felt a bit guilty but kept his tone firm. "Really... Of course, it's true."
