Sonic X Fairy Tail

[What follows is a mix of Hiro Mashima's original Fairy Tail scenes and my imagination featuring Sonic. Hope you enjoy it! If not, well, oh well.]

Several years had passed since I joined the Fairy Tail guild. I had grown a lot (Modern Sonic – Sonic Unleashed model) and made many friends, including Natsu, my best friend, and Erza, who was like a big sister to me.

It had been two weeks since Lucy Heartfilia joined the guild, and recently we'd been receiving threats from the Phantom Lord guild demanding Lucy. Today, they decided to attack us with a giant robot made from their guild's building, armed with a massive cannon called "Jupiter." Gajeel managed to kidnap Lucy, and the cannon's first shot was intercepted by Erza's diamond shield, but she was severely injured. The cannon was charging for another shot.

"Natsu, I think I have an idea to destroy the cannon," I said, dodging the ghost-like enemies attacking us.

"What's your plan?" he asked.

"If we destroy the cannon's core, we might weaken the giant at the same time."

"That's a great idea! Let's go, Happy!" he shouted, flying off with Happy.

Natsu reached the core and faced Totomaru while I climbed the giant robot to get inside the core and help him. When I arrived, I saw Natsu struggling against a fire mage who could control flames. I wanted to help, but something stopped me—it felt like Natsu could handle it on his own, and I could focus on destroying the core during their fight.

As I hesitated, Natsu unleashed a Fire Dragon Roar. The attack was deflected by Totomaru but hit the core—a large orb surrounded by smaller colored orbs that charged it with what looked like electricity or magic.

"Sonic, go for it!" Natsu shouted, apparently aware of my presence.

I leapt into the air and executed a Homing Attack, piercing the core. However, I couldn't make it to the other side. I was stuck inside, floating in the center. Suddenly, I felt immense pain as the smaller orbs continued to emit magic that converged on the central orb where I was trapped. I could feel the magic surging through my body, intensifying.

Natsu, Totomaru, and Happy watched in shock as the energy fueling Jupiter began to course through me. Instead of destroying me, the energy seemed to enhance me despite the pain. I noticed my body beginning to change. My fur turned pitch black, my hands grew enormous, tearing through my gloves, and sharp claws extended from my fingers. My teeth morphed into wolf-like fangs as I groaned in agony.

I let out a howl before Natsu shattered the orb that trapped me, pulling me out just as the smaller orbs dimmed and began to shatter, leading to the destruction of Jupiter.

When I woke up, I was back to my normal self, lying in Natsu's arms on another part of the giant robot's exterior.

"Natsu, what happened?"

"You tried to destroy the core but got stuck inside and started absorbing the cannon's energy until it exploded," Happy explained, worried.

"Thanks to you, the cannon's out of commission," Natsu added, smiling.

"Great," I said, trying to stand up.

"Looks like you're in no shape to fight. Happy, take him back to the guild and come back," Natsu ordered.

"Aye, sir!" Happy said, grabbing me and flying off.

Later that day, after defeating Phantom Lord, we all returned to the guild at sunset, happy to have saved Lucy and defeated Phantom Lord. Erza had recovered from her injuries, and we celebrated together.

Natsu's POV *

I was thrilled. We saved Lucy, defeated Gajeel, and protected the guild. All that excitement made me hungry, so I headed to the bar where Mirajane was serving food. I noticed Lucy already sitting at the counter.

Natsu: "You hungry after all that too?"

Lucy: "Yeah, I guess so. By the way... thank you again, Natsu, for saving me."

Natsu: "No worries, it's what I do! Mirajane, can you get us something to eat?"

Mirajane: "Of course! Coming right up."

As I waited, already imagining the feast, my thoughts were interrupted by a cry of pain from another part of the guild.

I turned to see Sonic writhing on the ground as if in agony. Grey approached him to see what was wrong, but suddenly, a purple light emanated from Sonic's chest, enveloping him. His body began to change, and I realized I'd seen this form before.

He had transformed back into the monster he became during my fight with Totomaru.

"What's happening to me?!" Sonic exclaimed in fear.

"It's the same form you had when you absorbed Jupiter," Happy said.

"So it wasn't a dream," Sonic muttered.

"Are you okay?" Erza asked.

"Yeah, weirdly, I feel amazing," Sonic replied.

Upon closer inspection, he now stood the same height as me, whereas he was usually shorter in his normal form.

After some research, we discovered that the energy from Jupiter had altered Sonic's body, turning him into a Werehog. This form granted him new abilities, such as elasticity, immense strength, and the ability to unleash "Jupiter Roars," similar to Dragon Slayer Roars. However, the downside was that he lost his usual speed in this form, and it only manifested at night.
