Space-Space Fruit in One Piece

As soon as Eren spoke, a bright flash of light blinded him and Enel momentarily. Of course they were still able to notice the tall man suddenly appearing in front of them thanks to their Observation Haki.

He was 302 cm (9'11'') tall, trumping above the already huge siblings. His outfit also stood out, as he wore a golden striped suit with a marine coat draped over his shoulders. He seemed a bit like a pedo, with his glasses and very thin beard.

Right now they were only seperated by about 10 meters, so they were able to see Kizaru's relaxed smile.

"Ohh, seems like you already discovered me. How truly scary-ne." While his words might suggest that he was impressed, his expression and tone portrayed otherwise, as he seemed slightly bored and even picked his teeth while talking.

He was right though. Eren and Enel had already noticed his presence the moment their fight had finised. Kizaru had neared the island at that point for some reason, but still kept his distance, instead deciding to observe silently.

The risk to keep him around was just too big though. Eren didn't know his intentions, so he called him out to tell him to finish his business.

"So, what did Sengoku send one of the Navy's admirals here for? We only took down one puny warlord, so we didn't commit any crimes. Besides, shouldn't this also be in your own interest? After all I can't imagine the Navy with its righteous image would like to support such a heinous criminal."

Eren truly felt like there wasn't any reason to send one of the admirals here. The only explanation might be that he didn't have much else to do, as the seas weren't as chaotic currently. After all there were still 6 years until the begin of the storyline, when the Navy would truly have their hands filled with a huge mountain of tasks.

Kizaru seemed truly surprised for the first time at this moment. He had expected to speak with the user of the Rumble-Rumble fruit. Not some random kid. Though this kid also gave him a feeling of danger. Could he be the one who had caused the wave of Conqueror's Haki earlier?

"I'm just here to make sure that things don't go out of hand." Kizaru replied calmly. The real reason he was even here was that he was paid to do so. How would he know the factors influencing Sengokus decision?

"Didn't that already happen though? After all one of the Navy's precious warlords has perished." Eren retorted.

"Haha, you got me there. But to be honest the Navy doesn't care much about the death of the warlords, as they can easily be replaced. The main reason I am here is to test his stance." Kizaru said while pointing at Enel. "So what do you say? Want to join the Marines or stay as a warlord?"

Enel was stunned, as he hadn't expected that the Marines would suddenly try to poach him. 'I definitely need to re-negotiate my salary with Eren. After all I could always threaten him with switching factions.' Enel thought.

But after remembering the torment his brother had caused him, even when he was still just a kid, he quickly decided against trying something like that again.

"Meh, not interested, sounds somewhat boring. You don't seem as if you like doing your job either." Enel replied. Kizaru was truly too bored while submitting his offer. How would Enel ever believe that the Marines were a organization one would like to join?

Kizaru didn't really seem surprised. He merely shrugged his shoulders before walking away again. "Ohh, how surprising-ne. Though make sure to not harm those civilians down there in the near future. Now that they are no longer under a warlord, I would have to kill you for that."

Just as he was about to turn into light, Enel spoke up again. "Tell Sengoku that I would like to become one of the warlords though. You already know how strong I am, so there shouldn't be a problem with that."

While Kizaru seemed like he had heard the words, he didn't acknowledge them in any way, only stopping for a short moment before truly vanishing tracelessly.

"What a weird guy." Enel said the moment he couldn't sense the Admiral any longer.

"Yep, truly a unique individual. I just hope he transmits our message back to Sengoku. Though I don't really doubt he will." Eren trusted Kizaru with that, has he was a guy who would always do just as much as he was paid to. And since he was paid to test Enel's willingness to join the Marines, he would definitely report his interest in becoming a warlord.

"Well then. Now that we are done, bring me back to the ship. This is an order from your captain!" Enel said while giggling, causing Eren to roll his eyes.

They had decided that Enel would act as the captain outwardly, as a 14-year-old being the captain of the user of the Goro Goro no mi with strength comparable to an Admiral candidate would truly bring up questions.

Some people might guess that Eren was even more talented than he let on, so they decided to keep it a secret for a few more years. Of course their crewmembers would know, but to outsiders they would act like Enel was the captain, while Eren was the brain who did most of the talking.

Meanwhile on a ship a few kilometers away from Recrui, Kizaru pulled out a black Transponder Snail, before reporting to the headquarters.

"Sengoku, I've got some news on the situation on Recrui and the user of the Lighting Logia." He spoke into the snail. But even after a few seconds passed, there was still silence. "Sengoku? Sengoku!" Kizaru tried everything, but no voice came from the other side of the line.

At this moment a Navy Officer approached him cautiously. "Admiral Kizaru, I'm sorry to disturb you, but that is a black Den Den mushi used for wire tapping."

"Ohh, okay. How confusing-ne." Kizaru answered and pulled out another Snail, before calling Sengoku again.

"Kacha"

After a few seconds of ringing, the snake grew a large black afro and a long, braided goatee. "Moshi Moshi, this is Sengoku. Why did you call, Kizaru?" A voice resounded from the snail.

"Its about the mission. I have confronted the user of the Rumble Rumble fruit, and he seems to be unwilling to join the Marines. He has also killed the warlord Paolo Datura with the help of his crew and claims that he wants to become the new 7th warlord." Kizaru retold the events just as they had happened earlier, not leaving out anything.

On the other end of the line, Sengoku started frowning and massaged the spot between his eyebrows.

"So much trouble. I had already expected him to not join the Marines after fleeing from Aokiji, but did he really need to become a pirate? With the powers of his fruit, he has the potential to become someone at least almost as strong as one of the Yonko, easily reaching the level of an Admiral."

Sengoku complained before turning silent He thought intensly while Kizaru picked his ear on the other end of the line. After almost a whole minute, the voice of the Fleet Admiral resounded again with new orders.

"I want to talk to him personally, Kizaru. Take a Den Den Mushi with you and bring it to his ship. You can leave right after as I don't want to create too much tension between us by having an Admiral personally look over his actions for an extended period of time."

From the personality Enel had displayed until now, he was not completely against giving him a spot as a warlord. At least it would be much better than turning him into a true enemy, as he couldn't really send Kizaru after him currently. He hadn't commited a crime yet after all.

Just as Sengoku was about to end the call, Kizaru interrupted him.

"There's something else I forgot to mention. His and his crewmates have weird appearances. The captain and vice captain both have drums growing out of their back, while his only other crew member has small wings. This means that they probably come from Sky Island."

This information in itself was not that important, but it did gave Sengoku a few pieces of information. Enel and his crew would probably not know much about the happenings of the Grand Line or 4 Seas, so they might be somewhat easier to manipulate.

"Thanks for mentioning it. Anything else?" Sengoku asked, not wanting to miss any crucial information due to Kizaru's negligience.

"Ohh, now that you mention it. His vice-captain, probably his brother, gave me a slightly dangerous feeling on the same level of the Lightning fruit user. It also seemes like he is the one who makes the decisions. He also seems to only be about 15 years old, though he looks somewhat older. Truly scary-ne."

Hearing this made Sengoku develop a few strands of gray hair. A 15-year-old genius who is not only the Vice-captain of a pirate with extremely high potential, but also seems to be very strong himself? Truly a bad combo.

"Just bring them the Transponder Snail Kizaru. Do also make sure to keep your snail close to you in the near future. Depending on how our conversation goes, I might order you to take care of them now before they grow into an even bigger threat under the immunity of the warlords."

Sengoku didn't like capturing or killing people who hadn't commited any crimes yet, but if he judged that it would be for the good of the sea, then he would not be afraid to act decisively.

Eren and Enel had just arrived on the boat for a few minutes, when they were suddenly disturbed once again.

"What do we owe your presence to this time?" Eren asked in a sarcastic tone, while looking at Kizaru who had just appeared on their deck out of nowhere.

"Ohh, truly nice ship you got here. I'm just here as an underpayed errand boy. I'm supposed to give this to your captain."

While he spoke, Kizaru pulled out the Transponder Snail and handed it to Eren. Afterward he turned into light once again and vanished without a word.

He and Enel just looked at the snail for a few seconds, before it suddenly began to ring.

"Purupuru."

"Purupuru."

Enel was about to pick up the transponder, but Eren stopped him in the last moment.

"Lets wait for a few seconds. Otherwise they might think that we are desperate."

So, after waiting for some time, he finally picked up the call.

"Moshi Moshi, this is Eren. Who is this?"
