Chapter 3: World kept spinning
Josephine was as surprised as his son, not only she never expected for his quirk to awake at his age, but neither thought the kind of quirk it would be.
At first she believed his son was somewhat delirious from his illness, but when she saw the portrait in her nightstand float, she was convinced otherwise. And even then, she thought it didn't make any sense, as his husband quirk and hers didn't have anything in common to telekinesis.
Worse was when he told them he actually saw a "crimson figure" which obeyed his commands. Companion quirks weren't unheard of, but one being invisible was surely a surprise. Quite the bizarre ability.
Of course as a mother she was happy, his kid would be ostracised no more, at least for his quirkless situation. It always had hurt her that her decision to come to Japan had troubled him so much, as the discrimination was doubled. However she was unsure towards such a power, one that she couldn't see or understand, specially the fact the there was a being out there, fully sentient most likely, and probably really strong, near his son all the time. Even if usually companion type quirks were really protective of their users.
As a mother she couldn't help but think the worst sometimes, so she is able to prepare, specially after his quirk took so much time to manifest.
Well, at least he wouldn't be alone never again wouldn't he?

Time passed, and when Johan was fully back to health they visited their head quirk doctor. Who was not only as baffled as them about the late apparition of the quirk, but even after doing various tests he wasn't sure how to accurately qualify it.
What the doctor got was, a companion type quirk, which was invisible (except for young Johan), was way stronger and faster than him as well as able to share it's own senses with the user. As for it's appearance, Johan said that it was a red humanoid, with white hands, face and lines that crossed throughout it's body. Interestingly it had a smaller face in its forehead, which was pink instead of white, but both had green eyes, color that it also spotted in its knuckles.
So, after finalizing his assessment he rapidly made starting report, and stopped at the last item to fill, one that it usually was fully determined by the doctor, but considering the child's age, it may be better offered to him to complete.
"So Johan, do you a name in mind for your quirk? If not I can name it for you "
Johan looked up to him, and with the biggest smile he answered him " I do! King Crimson! That is the name! "
" Huh, what an unusual name for a quirk, usually they are more descriptive than anything, but I guess it makes sense, at least to you ... " He said, a little taken aback by the kid unusual naming.
" Well, then King Crimson it is! Feel fre to go, I will continue this reports and soon you will have all the pertinent legal documentation from the government about your quirk "

" Dad, can I ask you something "
Ferdinand looked surprised, looking at his kid better he realised something was troubling him.
" Always, so spill it out, what's on your mind?"
Johan moved his palm across his thigh, deep in thought. Then after some time he finally spoke.
" You know I want to be a writer "
" Yep "
" It's not actually a work that is fully incompatible with having another profession "
" Yep "
" So,... I... Thought... could apply to a hero course..."
" ...Why? "
" It's just... everyone believed that it was something beyond me, that I couldn't even try, that I couldn't thought of ... And I never did. Because my quirk wasn't anywhere to be seen " The youngest Jung said with tears forming in his eyes " I love books because when you write all the magic is yours, and when you read it all that power is gifted to you, it makes you feel something "
" And I want to show that I can, that I can give people more than just words, my gift is to use what I yerned for... In the right way! Like a story hero would!... but I am not sure I could convince mum, she doesn't really likes that, she never even talks about the agency... "
Ferdinand looked at his son and bitterly smiled, after all a part of him was happy that he was quirkless even if never would like to admit it, every kid wanted to be a hero, most of them would apply to heroics, some of them would be accepted, a small portion would get accepted and a few would go pro.
To risk their life, against the monsters of the world and catastrophic emergencies. Your kid would get his ambitions and dreams destroyed or you might see them in a coffin before they turn thirty. No winners in that job. While Johan was quirkless he didn't had to worry, the kid didn't care about it, his dreams wouldn't be annihilated and most likely he would be safe.
But he was wrong. His son dreams had been buried over disappointment and rejection that he couldn't even feel them himself, and when they came back, the did it stronger than anyone else he knew.
" If you want to do it... I will endorse you" he watched his smile grow " However! If you want to do this, then we do it my way, you won't have weekends or summer for two years, and you will try for UA, because if I want this marriage to last you better be alive till you are 80, you get me! "
Johan corrected his posture and while looking at his father in the eyes gave a " yes sir " with all the respect he had for the man.

Of course his mother was mad. Mostly at his father, bit that didn't really save him many graces. Thankfully she didn't oppose the training.
Which was absolutely insane.
He didn't know where his father gets his contacts but the sheer quantity of people he met in the time before the exams was astonishing.
From nutritionists, triathlon athletes, doctors in ethics, to more distinguished personnel like a cqc instructor from Germany's army who was a long distance grand-uncle of his, to say a few.
His free time was almost nonexistent, between his schoolwork and the extensive lengths that his father had gone to put him up to shape (with his mother influence pushing it further), it was surprising that he could sleep and eat. Even if barely, as most of the time his body hurt like hell. Clearly his dad took much from his German discipline.
Obviously, his quirk was completely in another level from what he and his quirk Doctor have thought. It's strength and speed weren't superhuman, they were almost unnatural. Forget about lifting dumbbells, King Crimson was able to break steel beams in half with low effort in just a few months into his training, nowadays he was pretty sure it could catch bullets and cut a fridge in two easily with his hands alone.
It was almost too strong a quirk, it's weakness being that of a 3 meter range, further than that the capabilities of King Crimson lowered the further he wen until at 5 meters were it was as strong as a person.
Because of that, his father focused on training his stamina, as his he was most lacking in mobility. Hence the triathlon training. It sucked, Johan hated it with all his soul, but strong willed his way trough it all.
Which was something that augmented in his personality, even if he wasn't weak minded person, his quirk manifestation had influenced Johan in ways no one expected. His eyes, exuded a sharpness that wasn't there before, fruit of his determination and always empowering will, and his face had refined into more mature factions, even if they were still youthfull, accompanied by his now long cascading black hair.
Of course all that focus started to distance him further from his already distant classmates, days passing like nothing, even birthdays were nothing but a step more into his goal. His parents grew slightly concerned by this, so his father contacted his last contact a few months before the UA exams...

The youngest Jung looked at the address in his phone and chequed at the rather big estate he found himself on, in the rural country side of the prefecture.
He actually had been graduated with two months of anticipation for this mysterious person, who would instruct him. In what? He didn't know, just that his father spent a ton of money, and his mother used the influence of Passione before he accepted. Apparently the guy had an interest in his quirk.
Was that surprising? Not really, as it was an uncommon type of quirk with and incredible power. However as wasn't as flashy as an emitter type and had a gross lack of versatility it intrigued Johan a bit.
When he was about to ring the bell, he was surprised as it was suddenly opened, manifesting King Crimson without thing.
The man who opened the door was an old man, probably in his 60, but exudated a powerful live full aura, if it could be believable. Wearing a suit vest over a shirt, while donning a fedora, it's style was really on point.
But what really made Johan stiff were his eyes, they were relaxed and of sky blue. And there looking directly over his shoulder.
" I guess this one is [King Crimson], mister Jung?"
His tone was light and friendly but his words managed to put every sense of protection of Johans brain in haywire. The oldman was dangerous, as he had something others don't.
He could see.
'Where the hell does Father bring these people from?'
