Chapter 41: Chapter 41: Music Industry?

After the interview, Emily was called to a last-minute meeting with the company's directors. Upon arriving, she was met by Gabriela, her manager, who greeted her with an expectant smile.

"Emily, the directors have something big to present to you," Gabriela said, guiding her to the room where the executives were waiting.

Emily entered, and one of the main directors, Mr. Bernard, began to explain enthusiastically. "Emily, we know that you have an undeniable talent as an actress, but we believe that there is even greater potential for you to explore. We want to introduce you to the music industry."

Emily's eyes widened in surprise. Although she loved music and had taken singing lessons as a child, she never imagined that she would follow this path. "The music industry? I… never seriously considered it."

Mr. Bernard continued, gesturing passionately. "You have a captivating presence and a rapidly growing fan base. A musical debut could further expand your career and cement your name as a true multimedia star. Many of today's great talents excel in multiple areas, and we believe you can do the same."

Gabriela added, supporting the idea. "Emily, think about what this could mean for you. I know it's a big decision, but your potential as a well-rounded artist could really shine. You have a unique, natural voice, and with a little extra training, I imagine you could surprise even yourself."

Emily listened intently, feeling intrigued and a little unsure. "The idea is fascinating, but it would be quite a challenge. I would need a lot of preparation… and your support."

Mr. Bernard smiled. "Absolutely. We'll provide everything you need: vocal training, a team of top-notch producers and songwriters, and a release strategy to capture your audience. Plus, you would have full creative control to express yourself authentically."

Emily felt a wave of excitement rise within her. Despite the challenges, there was something exhilarating about exploring a new artistic side. She looked at Gabriela, who smiled, encouraging her to consider the opportunity.

"So, what's the first step?" Emily asked, finally giving in to the idea.

Mr. Bernard smiled, satisfied. "The first step is to start vocal training. We want you to be comfortable and prepared. We'll also plan some compositions that reflect your personality and emotions. And when you're ready, your first single will be released with all the impact it deserves."

Emily left the meeting with her heart racing, imagining the new possibilities this journey would bring her.

When Emily got home, she was still filled with the excitement of the meeting. The idea of launching a music career made her anxious and at the same time full of energy. She couldn't wait to tell Matthew everything, who would probably understand better than anyone the changes and responsibilities this new phase could bring.

As soon as she entered the apartment, she took off her coat and, without thinking twice, picked up her cell phone to call him. But before she could dial, she heard the sound of the key in the door. Matthew appeared, with a calm smile, as if he already knew that she needed him at that exact moment.

"Emily? You look... on fire," he joked, dropping his backpack and approaching with an expression of curiosity.

Emily laughed, feeling like a child about to share some incredible news. "Matthew, you won't believe it! My agency... wants me to get into the music industry! I'm still processing everything, but it seems like a unique opportunity!"

Matthew looked at her, surprised, and a proud smile lit up his face. "That's amazing, Emily! I always knew you had talent, and now... the whole world is going to find out. How do you feel?"

"Exactly as you see... A mix of nervousness, excitement, and a million ideas in my head," she replied, her eyes still shining. "It's something totally new, and at the same time... scary. I don't know what it's going to be like to expose myself in such a different way."

Matthew took her hands in his, squeezing them reassuringly. "I know this is a big change, but you have everything you need to shine. Remember, this is for you—a new chapter, but still yours. And I'll be here for you if you need anything, whether it's talking about music or just reminding you that you can do whatever you want."

Matthew's support brought an unexpected calm to Emily. She smiled, feeling more confident and secure. "Thank you, Matthew. Seriously, you have no idea how much it means to hear this from you. And of course, you'll be the first to hear all the songs… maybe even some unreleased ones," she said, laughing.

They spent the rest of the evening talking about this new phase, Matthew listening intently as she talked about what she wanted to convey with her music, the stories she wanted to tell, and how she wanted her fans to see a deeper side of her.

By the end of the night, Emily felt ready to face the new challenge, knowing that she was not alone.

Emily's days began to be divided between the intense filming and the demands of her new musical endeavor. On set, she remained focused on the recordings, immersing herself in the scenes and bringing to life the character she had worked so hard to develop. Between takes, when the director allowed a break, her cell phone would beep with messages and notifications from the team at her entertainment agency, who were already beginning to structure her transition into the music world.

During an afternoon of filming, while touching up her makeup in the dressing room, she received a call from her manager, Gabriela. "Emily, I got a meeting with one of the best producers in M City for next week. He wants to meet you and understand your style before we start any projects," Gabriela said, her voice full of enthusiasm.

Emily nodded, smiling at the mirror, still trying to absorb how quickly everything was happening. "Great! I want to bring something unique, something that shows a truer part of me. I think that can make a difference."

"Exactly what he wants," Gabriela replied. "So be prepared to talk about your inspirations, what you want to bring to the songs. This is a golden opportunity, and from what I've seen, you have something special to offer."

With that in mind, Emily returned to the set, trying to balance the workload. Despite the intensity, she never stopped enjoying every moment. While she dedicated herself to her role in the film, her thoughts wandered to the possibilities in music, dreaming of lyrics and melodies, imagining the impact she could make by opening herself up to the audience in a new way.

At the end of the day, exhausted but energized, she would come home and dedicate herself to the first steps of the musical project. She would sit at the piano, explore notes and think about themes that inspired her. Sometimes she would scribble down snippets of lyrics, loose ideas, fragments of feelings. Other nights, Matthew would encourage her, listening intently and offering ideas. He could tell when she was exhausted and would always encourage her to remember why she had decided to take on this opportunity.

The routine was exhausting, but Emily kept at it, determined to explore and expand her artistic expression.
