Chapter 4: The Beginning

Moments later, the car was parked outside a police station as the bothersome driver refused to comply with the wishes of Luka. Without a choice, Luka dragged him out of the seats, walking him to the station and holding the urge to pound his face. The sleeping Myra was left in the car as the pair walked to the front desk, one resisting the other dragging. Eventually the process was quickly finished as soon as Luka handed the man over to the front desk for booking. The sights of an older figure approaching him drew his attention as he realized it was Sergeant Conner non other than his T.O when he used to be a rookie. "First day back and already arresting," he said as he greeted him. "Long time since we met sergeant," Luka replied with a sincere smile. Walking to the office, only small talk kept the two going as questions of how've you been and how the new job kept the interaction simple.

Finally at the office, the drawer was opened with a sudden creek as a hand pulled out a folder. Sitted on his desk, the man skimmed through the paper and a look of shock appeared on his face. "When was the last time you talked to Myra?" His question drawn by the sheets of paper he held. "Today why?" Luka's suspicion grew as he looked at Conner. "Is she dating?" He said as he showed him the documents he held. " I don't know but we can ask her?" Luka replied getting his phone out and calling the number. Myra dazed and half asleep simply ignored the call but the persistent ringing continued. Inevitably resulting to personally attending to Luka's matter she walked out of the car and paced with heavy strides towards the station. Minutes passed by and Conner requested Luka to give up when Myra walked in, forgetting that she's in her pajamas. "Glad you could join us Ms Cairo but next time mind your attire," said Conner as he stood up from his seat. Luka unable to hold in a chuckle laughed out loud to be met with a slap to the back of his head by Conner.

On the other hand, a man in dark attire walked out of his car with a kit in hand. Ignoring all protocals of safety he simply went round the parking lot disabling all CCTV cameras. Finishing the last one he waited watching a woman walk out of the car carelessly leaving the car unlocked creating an opportunity for him. As soon as the figure was out of sight the man entered the driver's seat and manually opened the trunk. His eyes glimming with joy. Approaching the trunk, he stood in front of it and opened his kit with all types of equipment. His gaze suddenly shifted to the girl standing behind him. "What a catch, why not cause a commotion" he silently thought as he put an anaesthetic drug on the piece of cloth. He pulled down his hood, the burnt face of the man shone in the street light, his tattoos making him appear scarier than ever." Hey little girl don't be scared, where's your mom?" The approaching figure haunted the girl as she hid behind the bag, traumatized and trembling to the bone. Not responding to the man's assertive touch, she could only hear his voice telling her silently to not say a thing or he won't spare her the pain. Putting the cloth on her face, covering her nose and mouth, the man simply waited for her to fall asleep.

While this took place the woman who left thee car unlocked or rather Myra, stared in shock at the documents handed to her. "That's not me but it's Aria, my sister," she said calmly assessing the papers. The supposed shock hit her hard but that didn't change her cold gaze as she wondered who the guy was. Luka reading her thought like a book replied just as curious, "Vance Deablo, supplier of drugs to the North America Mafia groups and addictive dealers. My quarry is why is your sister dating him?" He asked not putting a hold on the question.
