Kill-stealing X Lysa Gorgon

The explosion rocked every building to their very foundation. The sound had indirectly [Stunned] Syd for three seconds before he came back to his senses.

Gazing in the direction of the explosion, Syd dashed past every building he came across. Within a minute or two, he gawked at a three meters deep crater. In it were the ruins of several buildings. As he looked closer within the ruins of those buildings, various parts of dismembered Rogue Mechanoids laid within.

Bang! Bang!

Loud sounds of a gun being shot reverberated throughout the vicinity. Syd could decipher it was a shotgun and the sound came from behind him.

Swiftly turning towards his behind, he saw a golden-haired girl jumping from one building to another like she had a kind of superpowers. In her arms was a long-barrelled rifle with no cartridge but two grips for holding it firm. In pursuit of the girl was Syd's first enemy, a Rogue Mechanoid. Its body had lesser wires and its power core was a bit enclosed. It had an AR (Assault Rifle) that had the same body structure of an M16 rifle. Mounted on its left shoulders was a mingun with its bullet crisscrossing around its body.

Bang! Bang!

Spinning mid-air to face the Mechanoid, the golden-haired girl shot the Mechanoid that gave her a hot pursuit. With shocking agility, the Mechanoid twisted in a weird form, dodging the bullet by the breadth of an hair.

Ta! Ta! Ta! Ta! Ta!

Vexed, the Mechanoid retaliated by sending one barrage after another of bullets towards the girl. Agilely landing on the rooftop of a building, instead of sprinting away, she made her way towards the almost-landing Mechanoid.

"Diee!!" The girl threw a hand grenade, aiming it in the direction of the Mechanoid. But before it could activate any of its defense mechanisms, the girl shot the grenade. Catching the Mechanoids off guard, the grenade exploded, sending the Mechanoid spiralling downwards around the location of Syd.

"BZZZ! BZZZ!"

Instinctively, Syd raised his Karvok SMG and sent a volley of bullets directly into the enclosed core.

"Oh! The feeling of kill-steal." Syd muttered in a delightful manner. He didn't suffer any injury or meet any fortune but at the end, he gained a massive return.

"FUCKK! YOU SON OF A BITCH! DIEE!" Out of the blues, the golden-haired girl lunged at Syd. Her long-barrelled rifle locked upon Syd, ready to pull the trigger at any given moment.

"Fuck!" Syd almost forgot, or say, had forgotten about the girl that was battling the now-dead Rogue Mechanoid. Right now, she was charging at him like a furious bull. At the heat of the moment, Syd threw an Explosive Blade at the girl. Caught unawares, she collided head on with the blade.

Boom! Bang!

Forcefully sent flying like a ragdoll, the golden-haired girl slammed her back against the walls of a dilapidated store.

Pfft! She vomited blood. This incurred the pity of Syd towards her. Knowing he was in the wrong, he neared her and fed her the Instant Health Liquid. Her formerly pale facial colour now turned rosy.

She glared at Syd with a livid expression still, she still felt pain. She had fought hard to bring down an Hostile that was eight levels higher than her current self, and then, a novice at Level 3 stole her kill and was just one level away from reaching her level. In her mind, she had cursed Syd a million and one times. However, the deed was done.

"I'm sorry. I feared for my life so I killed it." Syd said in hopes of getting her to understand it wasn't his fault. He couldn't take careless steps when he was not in a VR game. He could respawn in VR games but how sure was he that he could respawn here?

"Just compensate for me..." She huffed at Syd in annoyance afterwards. Sneaking glances at Syd, she realized he was handsome and good-looking. "Give me the Explosive Throwing Blades."

Syd, though wanting to please her, didn't want to give her the entire Explosive Blades. Grudgingly and through excessive coercing, she accepted two Explosive Throwing Blades.

"Name's Syd... Syd Snowfall. New to this shit world and you?" Syd introduced himself to the golden-haired girl as he helped her up.

"I'm Lysa Gorgon, also new to this world." The golden-haired girl introduced herself to Syd.

"How did you then level up so fast?"

"I descended into Lupus Garage. First idiots who attacked me were killed. Gained some levels, added some attribute points, used Instant Skills to kill more idiots, became stronger and the circle continues." Lysa uttered in an apathetic tone. Though, she made it sound easy but only she knew what she had gone through.

"Instant Skills?" Syd raised an eyebrow to the words of Lysa.

"Yeah, you get that tab when you kill one or two Hostiles. Don't tell me you don't know about it." Lysa facepalmed, noticing Syd's ignorance.

Syd knew he was just in a hurry to Level up and failed to grasp some of the fundamental knowledge and explore the other tabs that appeared on hiebhie Panel Screen.

"Just say..." Lysa was about to say when Syd uttered.
