The purple shockwave's power increased, and cracks began to spread across the Light Screen, ready to shatter at any moment.

However, with Mewtwo's restraints removed, its barrier strength was bolstered by Luo Yuan's own psychic energy.

So, despite Dragonite's unrelenting assault, the Light Screen remained unyielding.

Lance frowned.

Thankfully, he wasn't fighting alone. As Dragonite pressed against the Light Screen, Gengar's Shadow Ball arrived from behind.

If Dragon Pulse alone wasn't enough to break the Light Screen, the Shadow Ball would deliver the final blow.

Being a Ghost-type move, Shadow Ball was a perfect counter to Mewtwo's psychic Light Screen.

The moment Gengar launched Shadow Ball, Luo Yuan knew the barrier wouldn't hold.

The combined power of Shadow Ball and Dragon Pulse overwhelmed the Light Screen, causing it to shatter instantly.

Both attacks hurtled toward Mewtwo.

Forewarned by Luo Yuan, Mewtwo vanished from its spot.

Dragon Pulse and Shadow Ball struck the empty space Mewtwo had just occupied, erupting in a massive explosion.

"Mewtwo, use Psystrike!" Luo Yuan ordered.

Following his command, Mewtwo's eyes flared with a brilliant blue light, and waves of psychic energy seemed to pulse around its body.

But the strange thing was, the closer one looked, the harder it was to actually see the energy, as if it defied recognition.

The psychic energy around Mewtwo surged with even more intensity than when it was bound by the M2 Restraints.

Reveling in its newfound freedom,

Mewtwo locked onto Gengar, which it found particularly irritating.

In the air, invisible psychic energy shot toward Gengar under Mewtwo's control.

But Gengar, unlike Bruno's straightforward Fighting-types, wasn't one to meet attacks head-on.

As Agatha's first Pokémon, Gengar had been by her side for decades, witnessing her rise from rookie trainer to Elite Four member.

Alert and vigilant, Gengar sensed the incoming danger.

It immediately used Double Team.

"Kyah~"

Dozens of Gengar clones cackled at Mewtwo, all pulling the same haunting face.

"Taunt!"

Under the effect of Taunt, Mewtwo felt a surge of irritation, unleashing its psychic energy at the swarm of Gengar clones.

However, the moment the energy touched each clone, they all dissolved, revealing Gengar's escape.

Just as Mewtwo's anger flared, ready to tear the entire area apart to hunt down Gengar,

Luo Yuan's voice echoed in its mind.

"Stay calm."

Hearing this, Mewtwo's eyes flashed blue. Luo Yuan's reminder brought it back to its senses, and it realized it had fallen for Taunt.

Mewtwo felt a flicker of frustration but managed to keep it in check.

"Forget about Gengar. Focus on Dragonite," Luo Yuan instructed.

As a trainer with his own Gengar, Luo Yuan knew how aggravating a Gengar could be when it chose to play cat and mouse.

So rather than waste time, focusing on Dragonite was the better strategy.

The purple shockwave of Dragon Pulse clashed with the invisible force of Psystrike, creating deafening blasts in midair.

Dragon Pulse shattered into scattered light.

Unable to fend off the psychic attack, Dragonite was hit head-on as the Psystrike slammed into it.

Seeing this, Lance couldn't stay passive. "Charizard, Flare Blitz!"

From behind, Charizard, on standby, unleashed a Flare Blitz, rocketing toward Mewtwo with flames trailing behind it.

Lance's tactic was clear: force Mewtwo to defend itself, thus breaking its focus on Dragonite.

And Agatha didn't sit idle, either.

Tapping her cane on the ground, she gave a command: "Gengar, Dark Pulse!"

Hidden in Mewtwo's blind spot, Gengar slipped out of the shadows, silently rising up behind it. With a sinister grin, it raised its arms and fired a wave of black energy at Mewtwo.

Flare Blitz and Dark Pulse—one from the front, one from behind.

Lance and Agatha had executed a perfect pincer attack on Mewtwo.
