Terra Nova Online : Rise Of The Strongest Player

Chapter 756: Mu Fan's Decision

Mu Fan carefully considered her next move regarding Leo Skyshard.

She knew that the consequences of being caught aiding him were dire—perhaps even a fate worse than death.

However, despite knowing the risks, she still had a desire to help him, on the off-chance that he could someday become the inheritor of the Timeless Assassin's legacy.

"The report from the ship's captain suggests that Leo Skyshard has not yet fully unlocked the ability [Parallel Processing] and it's only because of advancements in his meditation manual that he's slowly coming close to having active control over it.

Currently, the system only suspects that he may have an ability similar to parallel processing, however, without it being fully awakened, the system has not flagged it as a proper threat yet.

This can be considered a stroke of great luck, as if the system registered it as an awakened ability, someone higher up in the universal government would take notice right away and have him killed.

However, with him only being suspected to have the potential to awaken an ability that's bears similarity to parallel processing, no alarms have been raised yet.

Add to it a dumb captain who doesn't know what that ability really means, and I can perhaps salvage this situation" Mu Fan muttered, as she retrieved a fresh set of pen and paper and began to furiously write a message.

[Esteemed Captain Kid,

Thankyou for having reached out to me about the signs that Leo Skyshard may awaken an inherent genetic passive skill.

We at the Mu Clan understand how you reaching out to us about the same is out of the ordinary, and appreciate it greatly.

Hence we will compensate you handsomely for the same when you land on planet Terra Nova, ending your fruitful journey.

However, it concerns us deeply that our chosen target is awakening genetic abilities without being properly tested for his potential.

As you're aware, genetic abilities usually unlock as a batch, usually only after one has been administered with an awakening serum, and the fact that our top recruitment target is undergoing it without proper care, makes us fear for his future.

We hope that you can guide him to stop his current meditation training for a while, or sabotage it by lowering the mana concentration of his quarters, so that he doesn't accidentally fully awaken it before landing.

After all this is for his own good.

Of Course such actions would warrant additional rewards for your deepest understanding and the Mu Clan is anything but stingy.

Help us Captain and we will make sure you become the richest officer on your ship by a long shot.

Also, if possible, please delete all records indicating the possibility that Leo Skyshard may have a genetic ability as it will only make it more difficult for us to recruit him upon landing.

You're Truly,

Mu Fan]

Mu Fan swiftly scribbled down the message, rolled the paper tightly, and pressed a rubber seal on top to ensure it couldn't be tampered with.

Handing the sealed scroll to her underling along with another bottle of the warming red liquid, she fixed him with a sharp gaze. "Deliver this immediately—and waste no time."

"Aye" the underling said, racing out of her cabin and into the cold with a sense of purpose, as he knew that whatever it was that he carried in his hands today, was something extremely important.

(Meanwhile Leo)

Unaware about how his fate was evolving, Leo continued playing Terra Nova Online in blissful ignorance.

The sun was about to set and the gaming day was almost over with the WhiteSabers having gained control of nearly 60% of the city.

At this pace. The WhiteSabers could fully control Bernabeu by tomorrow, completing a significant counter-attack in the fight to capture the West.

"Guildmaster, The West Duke's son, the NPC heir apparent has been spotted fleeing the city. The ducal NPC's have lost morale" A WhiteSaber messenger informed their guildmaster, as Leo overheard the message from the shadows.

He did not expect the West Duke's son, who was one of Luke's NPC friends, to flee this war, it did not seem in-line with his character.

'It could be a trap….' Leo thought, but shrugged his shoulders as he did not care enough to warn the sabers.

"Is that so? Did he really flee?" The WhiteSaber guild master leaned forward, his voice brimming with barely-contained excitement. The weight of victory seemed to already hang around his shoulders like a royal mantle.

"Yes, Guildmaster!" the messenger said with fervor. "Our scouts saw him retreating with a small group of retainers. The city is practically ours!"

A loud cheer erupted from the gathered guild members. Swords clanged against shields, staffs were raised high, and chants of "For the WhiteSabers!" filled the air.

The guildmaster, placing his arms around the two soldiers fighting closest to him grinned from ear to ear as he said "This, my loyal comrades, is the result of our unwavering strategy and unparalleled strength! We are no mere players—we are kings in this game, conquerors of cities!"

His words were met with an uproarious response, the echo chamber of cheers and affirmations growing louder with each passing moment. Around him, lieutenants nodded sagely, as if every word the guildmaster spoke were divine wisdom.

"Truly brilliant leadership, Guildmaster!" one officer exclaimed.

"No one else could have orchestrated such a flawless victory!" said another sycophant.

"The West Duke's forces crumbled like paper under your might!" a third voice joined in.

"I always supported your decision to enter this decisive fight, it was the right call" A fourth added, as everyone nodded in agreement.

Leo, still in the shadows, rolled his eyes at the scene. The over-the-top celebration, the blind arrogance, and the blatant self-congratulation—it was almost too much to stomach.

'Idiots,' he thought, slipping away silently from his vantage point.

'None of them even considered why the heir apparent would flee without resistance. Not a single one questioned the timing or the circumstances. If it is a trap, they'll fall face-first into it without even realizing it.' Leo thought, as he slapped his face at their apparent dumbness.
