Now, let's use 『Material Creation』 to create one of those fishhooks.

After creating my fishhook, I trusted the hook into the lake, not without putting monster meat to the hook.

Sariel: 「Feast your pathetic eyes on the glorious figure before you!

Without sparing a second, I lifted the hook high up to the sky, my hair dazzling in the sunlight with refined radiance, a testament to my stunning appearance.

Sariel: 「Fine.」

As I spoke, a huge earthquake suddenly occurred.

Clouds began to change to a black color, signifying the importance of this event.

The wind was spiraling uncontrollably, blowing away anything too light in weight.

Lightning began to strike the land, further increasing the magnitude of the earthquake.

Trees were uprooted due to the violent winds. The atmosphere was in utter chaos.

It was then that I realized it. A new dragon has been born.

This one should have alignment to wind and perhaps water and space.

Will it be a male or a female. I honestly pray it's a male.

With the experience I've had with those two, who'd still be a fuck face to choose female dragons.

Except for certain otakus. No, no, I'm getting off track.

Sariel: 「You guys should stay here. I'm going to check it out.」

As I was about to leave, Rose interjected.

Rose: 「Wait! Let me come with you. No matter how you look at it, it's a death wish facing whatever that thing is alone.」

I understand what she means, but I can't risk her dying. Besides, I might be able to defeat whatever that is.

Sariel: 「I need you here to protect the forest in case things go out of hand.

I don't want this forest to suffer more than it already has. You are currently the only one I can trust to do so.」

She looked at me for a few seconds before sighing in defeat.

She may not have known, but I already knew her end goal.

Rose: 「Fine, fine. I honestly wanted to fight that entity. But it is what it is.」

She said this with a defeated tone. I honestly don't see what they all see in fighting strong opponents.

I mean, sure, you could get stronger, but isn't that like dangerous and stuff?

Considering the fact that she was once a human, it's surprising how she always finds solace in battles beyond her.

As I said that, he turned to look at me with a confused expression on his face.

I don't have any of those! I don't even know how to officially use one.

Sariel: 「What even shows that you own this land?」

As I asked this, he looked at me with a genuinely perplexed face.

「Isn't it how it works? When a true dragon is born at a particular place, they claim ownership of their birthplace.」

Sariel: 「Do you even know the name of this forest? Surely you should know if you claim to be its owner.」

As I asked him this, he turned to the side, trying to think about it.

The realization later struck him. He had no idea.

Even upon that, he tried to make up a name.

「Uuuh, the ancient storm forest?」

Yeah. I would rather die than pick a cringy-ass name like that.

Sariel: 「Yeah. No kidding. This is the Great Jura Forest. I named it personally.

If you don't believe me, my hell gate is located here as proof.」

He looked at me with a shocked expression before roaring out in faux indignation.

「W-Well, IT DOESN'T MATTER!! I CAN JUST KILL YOU AND CLAIM IT FOR MYSELF!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

I'M A GENIUS!!」

Alright, that's plain stupid.

In fact, it was so stupid it actually made sense.

I mean, just kill a nation's president and take his position, right?

It was a fact, but I wasn't gonna waste my energy teaching him common sense.

He was flaunting his aura around like a certain Goliath.

What happened to him? He became history. In whose hands? Mine.

If this idiot does not stop doing that, I'd just kill him like that giant.

Sariel: 「Listen. You should respect yourself whilst I'm still calm.

If you proceed to make me mad, not even Velda will stop me from killing you.」

「If you speak so highly of yourself, you should prove it with strength!! Show me what you've got, demon!」

Sariel: 「Fine then. I can't convince you with words, so my action is gonna decide.

It is actually better than talking pointlessly.」

I hope Rose can protect the forest well from damage.

As they stared at each other, the tension produced by their gaze filled the air with anticipation.

Since both of them were at odds, the only thing that could decide who's right or wrong was a fight.

It was by fighting each other to produce a victory. To these two, this was the only way to decide who the owner of the forest was.

They both nodded at each other with respect, understanding the latter's intention.

Without waiting for a sign to start, Veldora unleashed a devastating 『Thunderstorm』attack towards Sariel.

The attack released several light rays from his mouth, each traveling at sub-light speed

Sariel sensed the attack and managed to dodge the light rays, although he barely got out of it unscathed.

Sariel: 「Hey Sage-san. Why is his attack so fast. He doesn't have Lunax's ultimate skill. Why is his attack as fast as hers.」

「Notice. The individual Lunax has not used her ultimate skill to the fullest of her abilities.」

"So that means I've been mistaking sub-light speed for light speed."

Sariel internally sighed at his stupidity. He set aside all the thoughts flashing through his mind and refocused on Veldora.

Veldora proceeded to unleash a 『Dark Lightning』 towards Sariel.

The attack came so fast that he barely had time to react.

He wanted to keep the damages to the forest to a minimum, but the fight would not allow such.

Data from the unique skill 『Space-Time Administrator』was stored before the skill was lost.

Although his soul would not be able to hold another unique skill, extra skills could be stored in the body.

Using that to his advantage, he created a barrier around them to prevent unnecessary damage from affecting the forest.

Another barrier was created to protect himself from the attack.

By linking his『Soul World』with the isolated space of the extra skill『Multidimensional Barrier』via『Skill Assimilation』, he created a perfect safety defense.

The『Dark Lightning』heading towards Sariel was successfully blocked by the barrier.

Seeing his attack fail, he laughed out loud.

「Kuhahaha!! It seems like you are stronger than I anticipated. Very well! Come at me!!」

He spoke with smugness. The compliment caught Sariel off guard a little.

He later replied to the dragon.

Sariel: 「Alright then. If we end this fight, let's be friends later on.」

「Oh? Sure thing! Let's do this!!」

As soon as he spoke, he spun around and used his tail to attack Sariel.

Sariel revealed his demonic wings and flapped them hard enough to send him away from the attack.

After dodging the attack, he was now suspended in the air.

Sariel charged towards Veldora and began to assault him with pure physical attacks.

His attacks did little to no damage on the dragon, but there were noticeable traces of indentation.

The dragon shrugged the attacks off as a weakling's struggle, but the next round of blows caused him severe spiritual pain.

He felt as if his soul was being torn apart as slowly but on a large scale.

It was then that he sensed danger. He immediately released a deadly aura wave towards Sariel.

This destruction wave was imbued with the effect of divine haki.

Upon his evolution into a divine spiritual life-form, it was something he received the moment he incarnated.

Sensing the danger behind the waves, Sariel was worried, but he was protected by his supreme defense method.

He dove straight into the attack and summoned his 『Soul Blade: Ares』midway.



The moment he reached the dragons head, he unleashed his disastrous art.

Sariel: 「This is my Soul Blade Art. 『Solitary Soul Barrage: Calamity Break.』」

With a thrust of his blade, he sent a violet colored light at the dragon's head.

The blow stung his head and left him extremely weak.

As an ultimate spiritual life-form, he had resistance towards attack affecting his soul.

Yet this pain was unbearable to him. Whilst he was stunned, Sariel took advantage of the opportunity before him.

Sariel: 「『Chaos Magic:Divinity Nova』!」

With that as his final attack, he sealed his victory.

As two magic circles appeared above and below the dragon, respectively, they both released an intense light capable of wiping out life.

One released a pure and holy light whilst the latter released an evil and demonic light.

As the dark and holy light rays collided, they emitted a rainbow colored light that erased infons at a terrifying pace.

Due to the magic not being influenced by external factors, the dragon was able to survive the attack, although barely.

「Kuhahaha! I've lost, it seems.」

Sariel smiled at him and spoke.

Sariel: 「Well, you could still go on. But let's put that aside. As we agreed earlier. Friends?」

The dragon looked at Sariel confusedly before a pang of realization dawned on him.

He smirked giddily before responding to him.

「If you wanna be my friend so bad, then so be it!」

The dragon outstretched his tail towards Sariel, hinting for a handshake, only if it could still be called one.

Sariel nodded in understanding and outstretched his demonic wing, wrapping the sharp edges of it around the dragon's tail before shaking it slowly but firmly.

Their eyes met the other's eye, with both golden eyes shimmering in the sunlight before a loud laugh erupted.

They both laughed out loud due to the humorousness of the situation.

Sariel: 「Man. That was so weird.」

「Hahahaha! I know, right? But now I'm bored.」

Sariel remembered the joke he used on Rose when she said this but nodded his head in dismissal.

"He wouldn't get it either way."

It was then that he remembered something.

Sariel: 「Hey. You don't have a name, right?」

The dragon turned to look at him in confusion before nodding.

「Yes. Any problem?」

Sariel shook his head before answering.

Sariel: 「No. Nothing like that. I was wondering how you'd feel if I gave you a name.

I can't let my new buddy go around calling himself a storm dragon without an actual name.」

The dragon's face shifted to that of a surprised expression laced with curiosity.

As he digested Sariel's words, he became joyful and roared.

「Exactly!! So, if you're gonna come up with a name, make it a cool one!!」

Sariel smiled and nodded, understanding what the dragon said.

He put his hand on his chin,contemplating a good name for the dragon.

At this point, it could be said that his mind was working at an insane rate.

——— That dude won't let me hear the end of it if I named him something else. ———

I thought of it for a while before i got interrupted.

「Notice. Naming him would most definitely kill you.」

——— Wait, what? How so? ———

I asked. I was confused. I did name his sister some years ago.

At that time, my magicule capacity and quality were not as good as now.

Was the energy that he would absorb far greater than what his sister did?

「Answer. Yes.」

I see.

Kalisha: 「I could borrow some of my magicules to you if there's a need for more.」

Kalisha said. But ignoring me, even she wouldn't be able to do much.
