Chapter 11 - Hero of Justice
“That’s the stove adventurers use, right?”
“Yes, it’s called a magic stove. It’s a tool for cooking using magic stones. With this, you can avoid the hassle of gathering firewood and transporting it.”
I was shown the stove, and it was not much different in size from a cassette stove; it was also lightweight. It had a board with a grate and a place to put magic stones.
There are several types, but this is the basic form. Depending on the item, you can use cooking utensils of various sizes.
I purchased the magic stove for five gold coins, happily leaving the store.
Returning to the hotel, I changed back into my adventurer attire, informed the receptionist of my room number and name, and mentioned that I wouldn’t be back for a while before leaving the hotel.

Arriving at the place I called the first base, I changed its appearance to look like a natural rock.
There were no human footprints around.
I opened the entrance of the dome slightly, checked for safety, and entered. There was no need for a door blocking the entrance and exit.
I took out the magic stove, prepared a teapot, tea set, and sugar, and placed the pot.
Flowing magic power to the designated pattern, a red circle appeared, and after a while, steam began to rise from the pot.
“It’s just like an IH heater,” I remarked, making a comment to myself.
After taking a break, I set up a target 40 meters away and started practicing with Stone Bullets for personal combat. I was considering creating two types: one the size of a tennis ball and another the size of a softball. Additionally, I contemplated making a shotgun that could shoot several at once, slightly enlarging a golf ball.
Once the magic power ran out, I lay on the grass mat, waking up to the nostalgic smell of grass.
Checking the clock and realizing it was late at night, I expanded the dome to enhance its livability until morning.
Having experienced spacious rooms at the Viscount’s mansion and the hotel, the dome now felt cramped.
I named the construction project to make the dome more comfortable the “Dome Comfortization Plan.” It was a way to pass the time during the late-night hours.
Anticipating bringing the magic power gauge to confirm a magic power high of 70, I decided to make about 20 beds for the knights.
Eight days passed, and after a long time, I measured the spatial storage again. It had expanded to a diameter of 2.8 meters.
The shooting count for the 40-meter Stone Lance had increased to 27-8 shots, and the teleportation magic could now jump 180 meters seven times.
The shotgun, named Shotgun One for the slightly larger golf ball and Shotgun Two for the tennis ball-sized one, had become quite versatile.
Both had 18 shots, and I envisioned them fitting within a 3-meter diameter circle at the target.
For regular Stone Bullets, I decided on three sizes: Softball, Tennis Ball, and an intermediate size between Tennis Ball and Golf Ball.
The naming for the smaller ones became Stone Bullet One, Two, and Three—extremely straightforward names. As long as I understood them!
The firing speed was too powerful, comparable to bullets, so I reduced it to the speed of a bullet train.
Related to this, I also created regular Stone Arrows and a new Stone Arrow Two. The latter was an arrow version of the shotgun, with a slightly shorter arrow length.
Stone Arrow Two was designed for effective use against small opponents that attacked in groups, such as horn rabbits or goblins.
In emergencies, I decided to use Stone Arrow Two and practiced shooting it unconsciously, like I did with Arrow Two.
To receive the ordered mat from “Nakasara’s Shop,” I left the dome and headed to the city of Egudora.
The November sky was clear, and the wind had started to feel cold.
Since I needed winter clothes and couldn’t leave them at the store, I decided to change into the clothes given by the Viscount before going.
While waiting in the line to enter the city and absentmindedly listening to the surrounding chatter, someone suddenly spoke to me.
“Are you Kaito-sama?”
“I don’t have the status to be called ‘sama,’ but I’m Kaito.”
“I have a message from Hyalda-sama. He requests you to contact him as soon as you return. Please pass through.”
Guided by the soldiers, I passed by the line and entered the city. It was painful to be the center of attention from everyone’s gaze.
Planning to contact the Viscount tomorrow after returning to the hotel, I foolishly realized, as soon as I arrived at the hotel, that the Viscount’s carriage was parked in front.
Entering the hotel, Hyalda and Fien were elegantly drinking tea.
“You’re early.”
“Don’t say that in such a sarcastic tone; I couldn’t wait once I heard about the magic.”
“Is it about the speed of the shots?”
“You caught on.”
“I thought you might start feeling dissatisfied soon.”
“Why don’t you tell me along with you?”
“When I first showed magic at the training ground, there was a person who came flying, asking what it was, right?”
“Yes, he’s one of the magicians serving the Hamawal family, but he’s been advised not to approach you or us.”
“Do you remember talking about the bestowed magic? About the issues of distance and speed? Demonstrating that in the training ground would be inconvenient. It’s too narrow, and there’s no place in the city to try it. I thought you might visit sooner or later.”
“Did you know that much?”
I shrugged and sipped the tea. Tea served by someone you’re familiar with tastes good.
“If it’s outside the city, it might be possible.”
“If it’s a place without prying eyes, can you go out with guards who can keep secrets? Remove the magician. I want to confirm the meaning of 70 and also see how fast it is.”
“Is that so?”
“I’ll consult with my father. It’s impossible in a day, maybe in 2-3 days. I want to make sure about the meaning of 70, and it depends on both of you.”
“Would you come to the mansion?”
“I came to pick up the things I ordered. I’m at the hotel. If you can come out, reply quickly.”
I saw off the two as they left and headed towards “Nakasara’s Shop.” I received the mat, rolled it up, packed it into a bag for herbs, and left the store.
On the way, adventurers from the Adventurer’s Guild heading to the market blocked my path. I looked at them silently, but they were unfamiliar, and I thought they might be drifters. That’s when one of them spoke up.
“Hey, monk, standing in front of people without a greeting?”
“Hello.”
As I tried to pass by, another person came forward again.
Many adventurers in this city were acquaintances, and there were also some unsavory characters, but they generally didn’t bother me in the city.
“After greeting, it’s common courtesy to leave something decent behind.”
“Um, I’m not even an adventurer yet, but should I still do that? If caught, it’s a definite ticket to becoming a criminal slave, you know.”
“Huh, a brat with fancy words.”
“You should try casting magic in the middle of the city. You’ll become a criminal slave faster than you think.”
“He said there are 20 Black Wolves. You exaggerated a bit there. You’re wearing decent stuff; lend us something for a bit.”
“Well, I guess I have no choice.”
“Oh, you’re quite a well-behaved brat. Hurry up and hand it over.”
I created a rope-like object from the ground and entangled their legs.
Oh well, they made a fuss, and the security soldiers came.
“Hey, what’s going on here?”
“Help us, please. This kid stood in front of us, suddenly did this with magic, and demanded money.”
“Did you do this?”
“I did, but what he’s saying is the opposite. Please ask the people around.”
“Oh my, my, my.”
Everyone, not wanting to get involved, scattered and left.
“Nobody seems to testify for what you said. Should I call the Security Headquarters? Also, release these restraints.”
“You’re allowed to remove them, but can you promise not to let them escape?”
“Stop the nonsense! Hurry up and remove them!”
“Are you a security guard for the lord of this city?”
“Remove them! How many times do I have to say it!”
Is this city okay with such security guards? I wonder if the lord’s identification will work.
“Take a look at this.”
“I don’t care; crush him and take him away!”
“Captain, Captain, this is bad.”
“Why are you also making noise! Just shut up!”
“Uhh, um, excuse me, Captain, I have the lord’s identification.”
“There’s no way! A kid like you can’t have anything close to it!”
“Is this man okay?”
Inadvertently, I asked the soldier who was trying to stop them. Other soldiers, seeing the lord’s identification in my hand, twisted their faces in discomfort.
“What’s wrong? What’s going on?”
“Oh, the righteous hero appears! Hooray ♪”
