The Archmagi of Technology

As Virgil made his way north he saw that the terrain around him was changing. Dead hollow trees were slowly replacing the cluster of trees. The grass faded away exposing rough dirt, and the clear sky became cloudy and dark.

Only after a few minutes of running did he run into a monster—a zombie-like creature holding a rusty sword and leather armor.

"The first enemy I run into has a skill...That does not sit well with me," Virgil sighed

As the ghoul turned around it saw Virgil and began charging at him. Reaching Virgil it held its sword up and brought it down on Virgil.

"It's slow," Virgil said easily blocking the blade with his own

Placing his hand on the ghoul's head he burned it to ash within a few seconds.

Leaving the Pile of ash Virgil continued north through the barren lands. After a few more minutes he ran into a group of three ghouls all wearing the same equipment

Charging at them while they still didn't notice him, Virgil was easily able to cut each of the ghoul's heads off before they could attack him.

"Sabastian mute killing notification. Only tell me when something important happens," Virgil said continuing north

As time went on and Virgil would kill a small group of ghouls here and there, he finally ran into a different creature.

[Skills: Dash Lv.33/ Poison Bite Lv.30/Slash Lv.45]

Looking at the wolf that was covered in pitch-black fur with some bone and muscle exposed, and blood-red eyes Virgil decided to not take it easy.

As he stared at the beast and it stared back Virgil was about to attack when the wolf charged at him at high speeds.

Placing a barrier before him he jumped back.

"It's fast...really fast," 

Reaching the barrier the wolf slashed at it with its claws and to Virgil's surprise it was easily able to break through and kept charging at him.

"Damn first time my barrier has been broken," Virgil said looking at the wolf 

While still in the air the wolf jumped at Virgil at full speed. Holding his hand out Virgil condensed his flames into a small point in his palm and once the wolf reached him he released it in one go causing a beam of fire to blast off the wolf's head.

"Alright where are these Orcs," Zatanna said walking through an open field 

"And seriously why did Virgil suddenly change the plans like this," 

Continuing through the field she saw two tall figures in the distance. Carefully she walked up to them and then hid behind a rock when she was close to make them out.

Before her took two large muscular green humanoids both holding axes and looking around cluelessly. 

"So this is an orc...they are just as ugly in Wally's games,"

"Alright let's see how they like this," Zatanna said grinning

Standing up she held her hands out and spoke a few things in backward English. By the time they saw her, it was too late as the ground opened under them and they fell into a deep ditch.

Walking up to the hole she looked inside to see that they were still alive. Holding her out our she released a stream of fire at the orcs that were screaming at her in an unknown language.

After a few minutes of releasing the stream, the orcs stopped moving and died.

"Damn, these guys are tough... this might be harder than I thought," Zatanna sighed

Closing the ditch she began following the orc's footsteps to see where they came from. It did not take long but after ten minutes she found another clearing and in the center was a village enclosed by large walls made from wood, and at the entrance were two orcs one holding a club and another holding a broadsword.

"This place seems large there are probably dozens in there," Zatanna said hiding behind a tree

"Well this would give me a good chance to test out something I'm working on," she said walking up to the two Orcs

Once they saw her they pointed their weapons at her a yelled. As they walked closer to her, she held both her hands out before her and whispered.

"lortnoc to enim," before blowing into her hands

The next moment purple dust shaped like butterflies flew through the air and reached the Orcs.

As the Orcs stared at the butterflies in confusion they landed on the forehead of the Orcs and once they did the eyes of the Orcs began glowing a purple color and they both bowed to Zatanna.

"hm worked better than I was hoping," Zatanna said with a small grin
