The Beginning of Knife King's

Time passed, but I didn't know how long. I slowly regained my senses and opened my eyes. I found myself in a quiet room, with a hallway ahead of me.

Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud.

I walked down the hallway until I reached the end, where a large door was closed. Without hesitation, I quickly opened it.

Creeeek~~

As the door opened, I saw many worn-out weapons scattered in a large cavern. I began searching for a knife among the cluttered weapons, as it was the weapon I was most comfortable with.

Clank. Clank. Clank.

"Sigh... none here. Looks like I'll have to use a sword for now."

I had a sword with me, so I continued walking forward, but I soon heard strange sounds.

Thud! Thud! Thud! Growl! Growl!

I quickly readied myself for battle and waited a moment until three goblins appeared, each holding a knife and running toward me. When I saw their knives, I rushed to attack them.

Slash!!!

I chopped off the heads of the three goblins with one strike, then grabbed one of their knives and continued on my way.

"When will this end? What monsters will I face next? Has anyone helped Uncle Gonzo and Lena yet?" That was what I thought to myself.

Growl! Growl! Growl!

I saw a massive group of goblins ahead. The number was so large I couldn't even estimate it properly.

The goblins charged at me as soon as they saw me, and I had no choice but to fight back.

Slash! Slash! Slash! Slash! Slash!

I killed them continuously, but no matter how many I killed, I felt like their numbers didn't decrease at all. I quickly used my aura at my feet and jumped into the air.

While floating in the air, I saw a goblin holding a staff and continuously summoning more goblins.

"That must be the cause," I thought, and immediately threw a knife at the goblin.

Whoosh~ Thud!

That goblin fell, but the hundreds of goblins were still there. I held a knife in each hand, channeled my aura into the weapons, and waited for the moment I would land.

Thud! Slash! Slash! Slash! Slash!

I began cutting down goblins one by one, and after killing hundreds of them, I felt exhausted and decided to find a place to rest.

I walked another 2 kilometers and rested there. From sheer exhaustion, I fell asleep. But not even half an hour later, I had to quickly open my eyes and ready my weapons.

Growl- Growl!

A group of about 20 goblins was coming toward me. I quickly eliminated them.

Slash! Slash! Slash!

"Finally done," I said, my face showing immense fatigue.

I went back to sleep, but it was only a moment before another group of goblins attacked. I kept killing them, and time outside passed, though I wasn't sure for how long.

"I should probably start moving again."

I continued walking, still feeling a bit tired.

Along the way, I encountered another group of goblins trying to attack me. I killed them and gathered enough mana to create another knife.

Eventually, I reached the end of the cavern, and there was a large door. I opened it and walked inside.

Inside, there was a huge hall, and torches on the walls provided light.

Creeeek~ Bang!

The door I had just opened slammed shut, and the torches' flames slowly faded until I could see nothing. Suddenly, the flames turned blue, instead of the red they had been.

Creeeek- Creeeek- Creeeek!

Before me stood a knight holding a large sword. Behind it, there were two knives. The suit of armor was a skeleton, and it was dragging the large sword toward me.

Whoosh- Ding!!!

In the blink of an eye, it lunged at me and swung its large sword. I barely managed to defend myself, then leapt backward to regain my stance.

"Even though it's wearing heavy armor, it's fast," I thought.

I used my mana to create a knife that could pierce its armor, and once it was ready, I rushed forward to fight.

Ding-Ding! Whoosh! Ding! Stab!

I attacked relentlessly, but it blocked and countered with its sword at incredible speed and accuracy, like someone with hundreds of years of experience. Luckily, I managed to dodge, but I was still grazed by its huge sword across my face.

While fighting, I felt that its speed, accuracy, and strength were far superior to mine. No matter how many times I attacked, it either dodged or blocked. I felt like I had no chance of winning.

Thud! Boom!!!

"Agh..."

I got too focused on its sword and missed the opportunity. I was kicked and thrown into the wall, creating a crack in it.

"Even though it only hit me with a fist, if that sword had landed, it would have been the end," I thought.

I quickly got back up, though barely able to move, and ran around, trying to find a weakness in its defenses.

Thud. Thud. Thud. Ding!

It charged at me, and in the blink of an eye, its sword was covered in aura and came down toward me.

Ding- Boom!!!

I blocked it, but the massive explosion from its sword sent a shockwave that shook the entire room. I was blasted into the wall and couldn't move.

Creeeek~ Creeeek

It slowly dragged its large sword toward me, ready to strike. I felt like death was standing right in front of me.

Whoosh~ Boom!!!
