"shut your mouth mutt" the large man growled.
I slowly nod my head, trying to even my breath. I had no clue who these people were, and I wasn't going to give them the decency to ask their names. I can't stop thinking about how lucky these assholes are, if I had my wolf they would all be dead. I can feel her faintly, every once in a while I feel her anger, Though she is unable to come forth I know she is alive.
She wouldn't have put up with them even back talking me let alone putting their hands on me. One of them stepping out of line would have earned them all her wrath.
"blade, she's just a kid." the leading man stated.
"a kid who's father killed the alpha" blade retorts.
"you didn't even like Alpha Duncan"
"I liked him more when he didn't have that half blood mutt" Blade growled
"he only had that kid to get in dark claws pants, thinking that if he got her a crotch goblin she would magically love him and reject her mate." he continued
"he had a mate though, why would he want Cassie?" the leading man states
"he loved the bitch from the second she stepped foot on the territory, convinced himself that she would reject her mate for him."
We continued walking, stepping over rocks and fallen stalagmites. I couldn't help but wonder about the 3rd man, he never spoke and held his head down hiding his face. I go to turn to see if he was still there just to get shoved forward.
"face forward" blade growled
"but he had a mate, had Alpha Eric with her before she died" the leading man questioned.
"That's the fucked up part Cross, his wolf fell in love with her and refused to claim his omega mate. He was going to reject his mate for her until he figured out she couldn't have kids and saw how bad she wanted one. He thought if he could provide her a child that she would reject her mate for him." blade answers
"That makes no sense, why would he try and give her a kid when her daughters older?" Cross asks
"She freaking hid her pregnancy, not even her mate knew about it until she was about to pop. She went to the human hospital and had the kid so no one in the pack knew. The baby was a few months old when he knocked up the omega, almost as soon as she had him he killed his mate. he brought the baby over to Cassie`s house expecting her to raise the kid and reject her mate for him. Only to find out she had been hiding a child for about a year."
" Duncan was pathetic, killed his mate after having his heir to try to get with a woman that already had a mate. She flat out rejected him, saying her mate was weak and would die and the kid needed her father. She still practically raised Eric because she worked for the daycare, she spent more time with him than his father did. She never showed Duncan any interest until the devil spawn shifted and couldn't control her wolf, Duncan was about to exile her at 15 years old. Then Cassie started becoming 'receptive' to his advances, he didn't want to jeopardize the potential relationship so he allowed her daughter to stay." the mysterious man spoke
"Cassie played nice, so her kid wouldn't get exiled but she never put out. Before the kid shifted she avoided Duncan like the plague, only to have to turn around and play nice once the kid started causing issues. Then suddenly she started getting flirty and touchy, but still never cheated on her mate. She continued to use the fact that her mate was weak and was the only thing able to control her daughters wolf so he wouldn't force her to reject him." blade spoke
Cross continued walking, just giving a nod or sound in response. This is all new information to me, I never knew Alpha Duncan had a thing for my mother. That is until he gave her the ultimatum, me or my father and my father chose for her. "anything for you" my father's words repeated in my mind, he must have known that she was touching him... he would have felt it.. did they both know what was happening and kept it from me?
My father's health started declining the last couple years, and he would randomly have bouts of pain when my mother wasn't around. Did her just touching the alpha have that strong of an affect on my father?
"That's until the devil spawn tried to attack the Alpha's son and her mate protected him. Duncan knew it would be the perfect time to make her choose, either choose her daughter or mate. One way, daughter gets exiled and father dies of heartbreak OR She chooses her daughter and her mate dies from the bond snapping. Win-win right? wrong, Josiah ends up rejecting Cassie so she wouldn't have a choice and Duncan thought he could have the best of both worlds getting rid of the mate and kid." blade continued
"yea, until he told Cassie that her daughter was still getting exiled and the father sliced his fucking throat before he died himself." mysterious man mumbles
"but wait, what happened to the mother? did she die of heartbreak or what?" Cross asks
"No, Eric was outside the whole time and came running inside when he heard a loud roar. Came in the door to see his fathers throat gushing out blood. Right then and there he got his wolf, thing forced the shift and destroyed everything. He killed Cassie and tore both Cassie and Josiah's bodies completely apart before we could get the tranquilizer darts to sedate him." blade replied
"He was a dumb kid before but now he's a savage, his wolf took control and hasn't given it back. Whole pack is worried, thing is out for blood." the mysterious man continued
"but Blake, why would he kill Cassie? isn't she basically his mom?" Cross asks
"He killed her because he believes that if she rejected her mate sooner he would've died and wouldn't have been able to kill his father. He hates omegas, believes that they're weak because his father told him his mother died in a rogue attack when he actually killed her himself. No one has told him the truth, not that anyone who actually knows could." Blake replies.
"Alpha command?"
"No, Duncan got a potion from the oracle's and put it in the packs drinking water. No one can tell the kid anything that was put under that spell, not even write it down to tell him. The Alpha command would've died with him, this dies with everyone who drank that water."
