Chapter 846: Chapter 844-Final Offer.
This time, Girika's face lost all playfulness as she stared at me. Her eyes turned darker, those extra sponge-like antennae on her head shining even brighter. The situation was no longer fun. All plans and precautions she had set failed at this moment as my voice thundered forth.
"Do you want to continue?"
I asked with a light voice, the background of my question being answered with the low groans and cries of pain from the ones trembling down at the bottom. For a moment, Girika's eyes turned fully dark and emotionless, but soon, that was replaced with a light, relaxing smile as she raised her hands in surrender.
"Forgive me, I lost my composure for a moment, quite embarrassing, actually."
As she said this, she shyly shook her head, and she even went on to use the classic head movement of women to show a sense of surrender, which invokes a certain sense of protective feeling in men. She lowered her head a bit, looking at me with her eyes from the bottom, making a very innocent face.
"Fine, it was just a small action after all."
I replied, taking away the pressure as the arrow drilling near Girika's head disappeared. Her posture fully relaxed even in this situation, as I arrogantly sat in front of her now, my posture straight. My relaxed situation, even after taking out this level of power, looked calm and beautiful. I relaxed slowly, making the other warriors waiting outside to make a move also relax from taking any action.
Girika isn't dumb to just bring three to this meeting, which can also go sideways while meeting a foe whose strength can't be fully measured at all.
"You really are mysterious. It seems I have to even once again make changes to the markings I made on your strength level."
As she said this, some other students walked into the place, no doubt of the same faction, as they looked at me with wary eyes, though they couldn't keep that for long before my charm had its effect, and they lost their sense for a single moment after which they went to do their job, dragging away their friends.
My arrows were pulled out, which immediately then melted into light-like particles and disappeared. This gained a small reaction from Girika as the rest of them quickly took out the poor students from the floor, dragging them away in a careful manner, within which I suddenly spoke out to them.
"You can take them to meet Clara. I will make sure that she will give you a discount!"
I could see all of their faces twist from my words. One even went forth to attack before Girika raised her hands in protest and spoke in a cold tone.
"Get lost."
The dude that attacked me could only hold his anger within himself as all of them soon left, leaving this place with just the two of us. They even went forth to do the good thing, cleaning away the place of blood, too. Quite the gentle-hearted ones, I have to say.
"You're quite the comedian, aren't you, Austin?"
I shrugged my shoulders at that question as I responded.
"Only when I want to be."
With that, Girika, seemingly having lost some sense of her mood, suddenly spoke. "Can we be neutral?"
Her question made me raise my eyebrows at her as I asked.
"What does that mean?"
To this, Girika didn't hesitate to respond.
"Let's be neutral. No faction formed outside of your control, coming from the other organisation, would even attack you. You will not even have to do anything for us too. We will not touch you in return. All I hope is that you won't touch us or go against us when we act."
I didn't immediately reply to it. I made a small brooding face, showing as if I was thinking about the idea. Though in actuality, it's not a bad idea. While I have all these plans set from a normal point of view, having all those powerfully formed illegal factions not getting in the way of the faction will be for the best.
After all, by staying away from the fight, my faction will be able to preserve its strength. After all, if we did enter into this fight, from a normal point of view, there is no saying how it will all go down. I mean, even if our side wins, we would go down with a lot of troubles and losses, not even with a guarantee that it would go well in the true fight that is heading this way.
Plus, there is no fixed path on our side coming into victory. From all logical points of view, our side loses in many ways. And even now, Isabella has jumped ship. What is to say the others won't soon jump ships, too? I mean, we are facing internationally powerful organisations with control all over the world.
The enticing offers they could provide would change the whole lives of people. And in search of greed, many fall too-even empires from within.
That is why the war council and all the other formed factions are very sure of their victory. With all of this power within the academy and outside of it, how the hell can they even come to lose?
And the very fact that Girika is giving me this offer in this whole situation just goes to show how much of a threat she thinks I actually am. One, she can't fully read, and the only variable in the grand plan she has put into motion, and I am also the one that had put an end to the first plan she had put in motion.
The situation of sowing chaos and troubles between the old students and new students-that plan came from her, and I had put an end to it in a spectacular fashion. So, one can't even be fully sure of how it will go when I become an enemy. She tried to make me an ally, and now she is even giving me the powerful position of turning into a neutral party.
A situation which, in a low sense, says the fact that the war council and all the other members from the different factions will not be able to handle us. You only have the choice of staying neutral when you know the power you have cannot fully dominate your opponent. At least Girika, in her mind, puts such a high level in my power and my intellect.
She even says this puts forth a lot of pressure on her. After all, even if she thinks this, does it mean the others will accept it? Even if I say yes to this, Girika will have to deal with a lot of pressure, and she won't be able to stop all the stupid ones that will jump out to even question if this is the right choice.
Which will bring along with it a bundle of questions and issues that I will have to clean up. Even then, I have to respect Girika's goal to propose this, even though I fully poked at her
reverse scale.
'A very high level of control along with an unending will to get things done.'
A small smile came to my face as I relaxed my posture, my eyes meeting Girika's calm one as I
asked.
"Can you really speak for even all the other members? Can you really control them all? Will you even be able to keep the others from your own place in control, whose egos will try to
prove them better than me? Can you really deal with it all?"
The question hung in the air, and even Girika was not capable of answering it with full
confidence as her eyes dropped a little.
"Sigh... there is no other way, is there?"
She asked, the last bit of hope being in that voice. I just smiled at that question. Even if all of these problems didn't exist, there is still the fact of the faction heads. The other girls are the ones that I am close to, the faction heads are girls in love with me and technically are very close to me. How can I turn my back on that?
Even doing so will lead to another shitstorm in my internal private life, and I have no desire for it to happen at all. So, from the very beginning, I had no choice. The path was already chosen for me because, knowing the girls and their pride, I am sure of the fact that the path they will choose will be to fight proudly.
Their egos and pride won't allow for the fact that the ones from the outside are better than them. While the empires and kingdoms work under the organisations, they don't fully command them. The princesses have their own authority, and no one can shake that. Doing so leads to a whole other issue.
Plus, this is the kids' playground. No adults will force their hands into this one. Hence, the heat and problems will keep rising in here, which will only get worse and worse with time.
"As you indicated before, Miss Girika, I am quite close to these girls, and I know what they will choose, as you well know. And I am not one to run away from a fight, an ancestral trait I
got from my grandfather. So you very well know my answer."
"It's war then..."
Girika murmured with a low tone.
