THE COSMOS

After a long journey they stopped at a inn, they were so tired, but very reserved. As they knew, the mission was of the most value at that time, as it was a test to their resolve and also, it was the way to protect, and prove their standing on their community.

As they approached the inn, Modez told his squad "Let us take a rest here for the time being", as the dawn was approaching and it will be risk being out in the wild while being not in a good condition so they all went inside.

There was a beautiful young lady on the counter " how may I be of assistance" she asked. Modez asked for one single room, and a room for four, as there were four mens, and one woman in their group

The Lady looked at a board behind her, and took out two keys and gave it to Modez "That will be one silver coin for all" she said.

As Modez took the keys, he threw one at Marci and told the other men to follow him. They followed behind, and entered a very spacious room, with four beds, and one door at the end of it, presumed to be a toilet.

As they entered Jender and Germin ran to the bedding at the end of the room near the window, as everyone wanted some air. Only Joles and Modez stood looking at the two. Despite his huge physique Germin was fast with his legs.

But the time he reached the bedding someone was already lying on it "What!" He shouted, "This is not right how did you get here so fast" like he didn't know that Jender was an assassin.

All of them were laughing including Jender as they looked at him "you seem to have forgotten something Germin" Joles said.

"Ooooh!, yeah he is an assassin but that was too fast" Germin said. He sat on the other bedding beside Jender, and lied there while breathing out "Wooooh! They look rigid but the feel so soft, will I be able to wake up tomorrow in this" he exclaimed.

Modez placed his equipments besides on bedding, and took out his armor. He went straight to the washing room, and peeked out with his head while saying "It has a hot bath" and closed the door again.

"I will go after him then, and this room is large but feels so damp, as there is too many male energy inside here",Joles said.

The all laughed, while Joles was using wind energy to circulate air inside the room. A gush of wind entered through the window, even Modez peeked out again and felt refreshed for a second "what was" before he could finish his sentence he saw Joles drawing something "oookay" he said and went inside again.

After Modez finished his hot bath, he came out and Joles went in the bath, as he was inside the room there was a refreshing atmosphere and asked "is this Joles' doing" they all nodded in unison.

Modez slept on his bedding, with his hands holding his head, inhaling the refreshing air in the lungs and breathed out "this is so much better" he said.

Jender and Germin were examining the magic circle, on the air made by Joles, with so much enthusiasm, they were used to see magic but this... This was shimmering and levitating in the air.

After Joles came out, followed Jender then Germin, when they all finished they went to the diner down stairs, while Germin went to knock on his sister's room to invite her down

They all met on the diner, and requested different things to eat and drink, after they finished. They heard a group of people speaking beside their table, about people being abducted since the week before.

Jender went to the table and greeted the fellows, and asked them about the abduction they were talking about, they looked at him with no answer, so Modez threw a coin to Jender and placed it on the table, they all started speaking like a there is no tomorrow.

"A week ago, there was a woman who went to the forest, and never came back. She was a gatherer of herbs and medicinal plants, but the guards searched and never found her, they sought it was a beast, but there was no blood, but signs of struggle in the area they presumed she was taken from".

"After another two day, another woman an archer was no where to be seen and nobody knew about it. And there is two guys who went for a hunt and they never came back too. They were capable but we don't know where they are till now".

As they were explaining Modez was seen in deep thoughts, as he could not understand why people go missing, and beasts were not included in the equation.

After the men finished explaining, they waved at the waiter and ordered another round, with the free money they got and continued drinking.

Jender came back and sat down as the others heard everything, Modez told them they have another work to do, so in the morning they should gather more information from the locals.

Modez told everyone to go and rest for the time being, as what follows tomorrow will be tedious, they all went to their rooms except for Modez, as he went outside to think of what is to be done tomorrow.

As he was deep in thought Jender appeared out of nowhere, as Modez felt someone's presence he turned back and saw Jender "That was totally weird can't you just come in a normal way" he said

"Well can't be normal than I am" Jender said, as he sat beside Modez. "Things seems a bit out of ordinary, and if it is not the beasts then what makes this events take place?" Modez asked Jender.

After a little discussion, the two of them went to their room, and slept for the day. As they woke up Modez was not in the room, Germin asked "where is he?" Jender told the others "He is at the diner let's hurry"

As they got down, they all met at the table and ordered something to eat. As they were all given orders to find some information from the locals, and come back to the inn after obtaining more information.
