Chapter 76: You are a loser!
It was the next day and Alvah wasn't up from bed yet.
Vida was done with her breakfast and waited a while for him. It was usually him who waited for her but this time it was the opposite. She didn't complain but rather stayed quiet.
It took some minutes and she saw no sign of him. She thought to report to her grandfather but she is the teacher, she needed to handle things by herself, she thought.
She walked closer to his room door and stood quietly. The thought of what happened last time when he opened the door and pulled her in flashed In her mind.
She shook it off quickly and knocked before anyone pulls her in.
She got no response. A slight frown showed on her face. She knocked again a little loudly, but then she heard a slight mumble.
"What is he doing?. If for any reason I see what I'm not supposed to see, I wouldn't blame myself for it". With this she walked in
She opened the door but slowly only to see someone on the bed with his head held low and his hair down drooled all the way to his back.
She gulped down hard before shaking the thought off. "Wh...why are you still in bed?".
Her voice cracked a bit before she spoke.
"I'm not feeling too well, I think I would skip training today".
"What!, she unconsciously reacted. You didn't skip training yesterday which was your instillation training, why mine?!".
She knew he had days to be here, so why the time he is meant to spend with her, he is ill. She didn't like that
He looked at her with a questioning look. " I'm Sorry but I didn't tell the illness to come today because I'm having lessons with Vida". He spoke less rudely.
She came back to her senses. She cleared her throat. "No further argument or talk I'll meet with you outside".
After saying this, she is meant to go but she stood idly, not moving.
His condition was severe but she didn't listen. The moment he stood up, he fell down to the ground. There was a heavy thud.
"You!... what's wrong with you?". She rushed to him and placed her hand on his forehead. It was burning.
"What should I do?, What should I do?". She asked herself panicking. She quickly stood up to go call her grandpa.
He was seated in the living room with his fingers placed on his forehead.
"Grandpa!". She called out to him. She sounded worried and he was surprised.
"What is it, why are?..." He was cut off with her trembling voice, "Grandpa Alvah isn't doing too well".
What she said didn't disturb him in the slightest. What disturbed him was how he had never seen her worry about anyone before except her brother.
"Grandpa!". she shouted to get his attention. "Yes, what is it?" He didn't hear the first time.
"Alvah just passed out and he's burning up pretty badly". she repeated herself.
He sighed a sigh of relief and relaxed a little on the couch. "About time", he muttered.
She heard that. "A... about time, was... was this supposed to happen?" she said with misbelief written on her face.
"Absolutely, let's go to him". He stood up from the couch quickly while She led the way and they got his room.
Old sage saw him on the ground and looked at her. She looked at him, hoping he wouldn't question her. If she had let him rest, at least he wouldn't be on the floor by now.
He uttered, "Help me lift him up". She nodded lightly. They both lifted him to the bed and straightened him, lengthening his hair.
"Was this supposed to happen?", she asked him again.
His response was the same. "Yes, I'm just grateful it happened now and that he hadn't gone yet".
"What is happening to him at the moment is...." He began explaining.
"Definitely, the act on instillation is to ease the tension of his evil and dark energy but that doesn't mean that the other energy would not fight back and be succumbed, impossible".
"At this point they are both having a conflict. For someone like him, Ha!, it might take a while to recognize the winner which is why he passed out and would be in this condition for at most a week".
"A week!". She sounded surprised.
"Why are you surprised?" he asked her with a widened eye. "When I told you to start and end this training quickly. You always ended up having conflict or quarrel with him".
"I'm only thankful that your disagreement kept him till this time otherwise it would have been troublesome for him if he had gone home".
"At least I played a good role". She said with a slight grin on her face as she felt satiated.
He looked at her from head to toe. " Your unwise and absurd behavior was only useful this time". he turned around to leave but completed his statement "and in someone's life".
She froze up. "The truth is harsh isn't it". He said and left her alone in the room.
What her grandpa said is true especially because it's true and it happened.
"Should I let him solve my problem for me. Can someone really make it seem like you never had a problem". She murmured to herself.
" That can't be true. If you can't solve your own problems, then no one can. You are only a loser and that's a fact". She spoke wholely.
'Is it?'. Her inner thought asked her this question.
She frowned and walked out of the room. She closed the door slowly still looking at him through the small path before it turned dark.
She closed the door completely and sighed heavily.
She stood up straight and walked to her room.
