Chapter 83: He is real
"He's just a friend I promise". Adalyn began to explain herself
"What?, who?". Della asked confused about who Adalyn was referring to. She looked around.
"Him". She said with a low voice. "His...his name is Alvah and..." She was quite scared till Della yelled at her.
"Stop it with this Alvah. He's just a fantasy. Your fantasy!". she screeched at adalyn.
Adalyn's eyes were shut close when her sister yelled at her. But what she heard was another mental confusion.
She looked beside her were Alvah was seated and no one was there. She knocked out for a minute
"What!, no! no!". She grumbled wildly
"No what!!". Della raised her hands in the air and down.
"Stop this you're going insane Adalyn. About time I tell mom and dad". She dashed to her grabbing her arm tightly.
Adalyn still not believing where Alvah had disappeared to , "No, he was here". She released from her grip smoothening her wrist. "Adalyn", Della called with concern in her voice for her sister.
"Alvah", Adalyn said his name walking backward slowly.
When she heard a loud scream from Della, Adalyn rushed to look behind to see Alvah. Her eyes widened in school but also excited at her what she saw.
"He... He is real", Alvah is real. Were the only words that left Della's mouth. "You... you're Alvah". She spoke to him covering her lips.
Alvah walked closer to her with his domineering height, his shadow shielding them. He held her hand gently walking to where Adalyn stood, he held her by the wrist taking them both to a more secluded area.
They stood looking at him in awe and he spoke ending the gaze and silence. "I am Alvah, your sister's fantasy" He grinned slightly.
Della blushed heavily but was quick to hide it . " I... can... see that" She stuttered pointing at him. "Della!" Adalyn called. 'What is it?" she asked still looking at Alvah. " Stop it " she spoke in a low tone. "Oh!" She drew back her attention to realization that she has been staring at him unending.
Alvah explained in details. "Your little sister told me everything. Your dad is forcing you to get married before the end of the year? "
Della glared at her sister with the darkest gaze she's got but before the eyes could glance at her sister Alvah covered her eyes. "Don't do that" he warned calmly. Della was amazed by the person who was in front of her.
He uncovered her eyes. "Why would you tell a stranger what goes on in the family? " She asked her hushly with a lesser intense gaze.
Adalyn corrected with her finger up . " He's not a stranger, he's my friend".
"Whom you met on the streets, that you know absolutely nothing about and spend your time with? She completd her words for her and continued but was cut shut by Alvah, you're not..."
" She's okay and quite smart. I tell you, she met me at the right time and if you think you're any better at convincing me to help you, you're wrong " He flared up a bit.
Della frowned at him, "who are you? " He replied to her
"Let's get you married Della" He took her hand and Adalyns and left the village.
When they got to the outskirts of the Iron village Della asked. "What about Dad? he'd kill us if he finds out we're gone" she panicked at the idea of leaving them without saying a word.
"Don't worry, as long as we return safely he'd be grateful for our lives " Adalyn assured. Alvah smirked at her words. He pinched her cheeks softly and she smiled heartily as they departed.
....
"Where are we headed?" Della asked looking up at Alvah.
" I have absolutely no idea" he said looking around the woods with the two girls left jaw dropped. "What'd you mean you have no idea, you took us away from the village now you..."
" You talk too much Della" he said with a furious look on his face. He remembers that he wouldn't be in this situation if adalyn didn't plead him to help her.
"Alvah do you at least have any idea where we are?" Adalyn asked him in a childish voice and he wondered how this voice got to him. He never got to experience the luck of using this voice on his parents
He crouched to her height and replied we are absolutely lost, her face dropped quickly to the ground but he lifted her chin to look at him and he said, if we don't keep moving.
Alvah knew deep down there were not lost but they were in an unfamiliar environment and knowing the two girls have never left their village, they have no idea where they are and it's okay for them to be worried about their destination.
Alvah wasn't scared in the slightest and they shouldn't be because they were with an Infernal, son to First Chamber Empyreal of Fire Deivigan Vimal, the soul of celestial. He was indeed very strong and nothing to fret about.
He used his beasts sense to identify the nearest place they could see humans and it wasn't that far from where they were.
"Della" , he called her name. She looked at him from where she took a seat on the rough earth. "Can you walk a bit further?"
She knew if she were to protest he would only call her a talkative so she just nodded yes.
He picked up adalyn in his arms and stroked her," let's go, we are closer to another Village". She looked at him with a creased brow asking, "how do you know, aren't you just a stranger here?"
He smiled with no response because he had no response. "Let's go shall we" he offered
"No!" Della shouted. Yes, she was insane because how would she meet a stranger whom her baby sister met with no roots as to how, and he claims to help her find a suitor and is leading her and her ignorant sister through the woods what the hell was she doing as an older sister.
"No...no, give me back my sister we going home " she declared. Alvah put forward his arm stopping her. " Who are you to decide?, I don't care however I will get married to who my father wants me to I don't care anyways " she blurted with slight tears at the corner of her eyes.
Adalyn lifted her head from alvah's shoulder to look at her depressed sister. " Della she called in a weak tone" . "Stop it" Della warned adalyn, and who are you to tell your sister who is right for her to marry and to oppose our fathers decision".
" Because it's not his decision, you're the one getting married not him" she kicked her feet indicating Alvah to put her down which he did.
"And what does a 4 year old child know about marriage and love, tell me adalyn!" She yelled at her and adalyn wasn't backing out of this.
Says the girl who tells me it's alright and cries herself to sleep, she said glaring at her though in the darkness they both knew they were making intense eye contact.
