The Crown's Mundane

Chapter 86: She's Feisty

Della was panicking how to have this conversation with him for a while now and she thought it was better to let it out her chest.

" Alvah, I know we are looking for a husband for me, someone my dad would love and accept. And we all know he will take any options so I'm suggesting and I'm asking if you would be my husband"

Alvah took in a deep breath and sighed, He held her by shoulders and what he said stabbed her in her chest.

"I will not be your husband ". She had expected this but she didn't prepare for the pain it will come with.

" But why, you don't... , you look single and I think we are closer in age, we..." "Stop it Della". " We can make this work, Alvah think ahead. Or... Or we trick my dad into thinking I've found someone and that's you but you promise to come back and that'll buy me some months extra..."

" Some months extra to lazy around and not take your life seriously. I do not know you and you do not want to know who I am. Go get yourself a suitor in there and I head back home" He sounded ever rude like who he truly was and it sent cold shivers down her spine hearing his deep voice echo in her ears unfriendly

"Hey Della". Adalyn called out to her from a distance, pulling the stranger in her arm closer to them. Della quickly wiped the drops of tears that formed in her eyes when she saw her sister.

"What are you doing with this strange man?" She took off his hands from her sister and glared at him but she was awestruck when she looked up into his glazing eyes that caught her in his trap. They were twinkling with the sun that rested up on his face, glowing each of his body part that made her wonder if the men in her village were really not good looking and just old.

"I didn't mean to scare you by abducting your sister but she was in the arena all alone. Hello!", he stretched his hands out to greet Alvah and Alvah reacted shaking him too but they both felt something tingle inside the both of them but they both ignored it.

"Let's go in" he gestured with his palm and they followed suit.

"Sister, I think this is the one" Adalyn said pulling the hem of Della's dress. He laughed at her words and asked " do you really think I'm the one for your sister?" . Della gulped hard. It dawned on her that her little sister just blurted out to this good looking, handsome stranger that she was desperate for a suitor.

She glared intensely at her sister and was on the verge of losing it and she did. With an angered voice she almost raged when he asked " your name is Della?" Her anger dissipated and she answered "yes" with a low tone

" Sorry I should've introduced myself earlier, my name is Kian". "Okay" was her only reply like she didn't seem interested.

"I suppose you do not know who that is?" He asked cautiously. "Was I supposed to?" She replied with a question.

"Have some manners sis, you never know if he's checking you out" she winked at him. "Who thought you all this?" , he asked hesitantly after a slight grin.

"She's an adult in a child's body" Della replied chuckling in the most fake way possible.

"And are you perhaps their brother or you are related to them?" He asked Alvah " I am Alvah, he looked at the two girls, we are not related"

" I am her to find a suitor for her, someone her father would accept In a heartbeat"

"Her baby sister wasn't exaggerating after all" his grin widened at her. And Della couldn't hide her frown any more. "And what's it to you if I'm looking for a suitor?!" She asked really angered

" You're feisty aren't you?" He asked flirtatiously with a smirk. She definitely would have found that disgusting if he didn't lure her in his realm already.

"Yeahhh she's feisty isn't she?" Alvah Concord leaving the both drop gorgeous guys looking at her with seduction in her eyes. Never had Alvah acted this way with her. Was he a low-key flirt that keeps cool

Her face burned red and their masculinity was eating her up, she stood up quickly and left, she didn't know where she was headed but she had to leave their presence before she ends up turning into a chilli pepper.

They both laughed with Adalyn smiling heartily at her sister who left them to chill out.

A familiar presence shook Alvah and he immediately looked in the direction. Juan asked him if anything was wrong but he gave no response still surveying around looking for the vessel that bore that energy

And unbeknownst to him, it was someone he never thought he would see ever again "Quilan" he muttered his name

"Do you know him?" Kian asked Alvah looking at Quilan and back to Alvah

Alvah had slipped in his actions but simply shoved it. " Never mind"
