Chapter 20: Penelope Clearwater

"I still want to praise you and give you extra points." If there were special effects, you could definitely see the flames behind Professor McGonagall rushing up. "Of course, you see, I overfulfilled your class assignment. This embroidery needle is so perfect! Not only thick, but also long! This is all because of your good education! To be honest, I don't usually have such a high level of transfiguration; it's all because after receiving your teaching just now..."

"Okay, sit down, Mr. Kyle!" Professor McGonagall took a deep breath, struggling to calm the feeling of dizziness in her brain. The old lady almost passed out due to a cerebral hemorrhage. Good grief! Had she taught him that? Such a big scapegoat had directly fallen on her? "I think your Transfiguration still needs more practice!"

"Yes, Professor, I understand!" Kyle grinned.

The next half of the class, Kyle went toe-to-toe with Transfiguration. Some say modern magic is the power of emotions! Whether it is an active spell or a passive talent, you cannot escape your inner emotions. When you cast a spell, what you think in your heart will determine the final result. Kyle scoffed at that notion. Nonsense, according to this theory, wouldn't the 'curse special effects' that appear with the talent 'Heart of Black Magic' mean that deep down in his heart he wants to cause destruction? Deliberately in order to earn the emotional treasure chest? How can it be! He is a kind blood demon in Knockturn Alley! After pondering for half the class, Kyle felt that his condition was about the same.

"Look, well done! Miss Granger has been able to turn the length of a match into a needle point. I'll give Gryffindor a point!" At this moment, Professor McGonagall, who had been patrolling the classroom, suddenly yelled. Little Hermione was in the seat next to her, her face flushed with excitement. "So is there anyone else who can change the matches?" After speaking, Professor McGonagall looked around the classroom expectantly.

"Professor, I think I can try again!" Kyle raised his hand. Professor McGonagall showed some hesitation.

"Mr. Kyle, are you sure?"

"Of course, this time I will be able to turn the match into a needle, a normal needle!" Kyle was full of confidence. He's the blood demon in Knockturn Alley! King recognized by the dementors of Azkaban! What's so hard about a little Transfiguration?

"Very well, then let's watch Mr. Kyle's performance!" Professor McGonagall clapped her hands. The eyes of all the little wizards in the classroom were on Kyle. "Quick transformation!" A flick of the wand, a faint mist appeared in the classroom! The cold breath began to spread!

Looking at the figure in the mist, all the little wizards' eyes became terrified. "Dementor... Dementor!" Ronald opened his mouth wide! Little children in wizarding families had seen such guards of Azkaban. Anyone who is kissed by a dementor will die.

More than a dozen emotional treasure chests appeared. Professor McGonagall's face gradually darkened. "Is this what you meant?" she asked. "I asked you to turn matches into needles, and now there's a dementor here?"

Kyle was also slightly taken aback. "Made! Very good! What do you want with dementors?"

"Professor, did you see? I succeeded!" Kyle exclaimed excitedly. With that single statement, Professor McGonagall was taken aback.

"How do you know you were successful?"

"Look, the embroidery needle that this dementor is holding!"

Looking in the direction Kyle was pointing, Professor McGonagall saw the dementor clasping its hands together, indeed holding an embroidery needle. "That makes sense!" she remarked.

"Professor, you don't need to add points for me. Really, I am very low-key and humble! You don't even have to tell me your praise..." Kyle's voice faded away in the classroom.

"Boom!" Before he finished speaking, Professor McGonagall grabbed the back of his collar and put him outside the door, closing it behind him.

"Kyle?" a voice called. "No, maybe I should call you Lord Mephisto?" A young witch was passing by the corridor. With curly chestnut hair and blue eyes, she looked older than Kyle and exuded an air of elegance and beauty. She was Penelope Clearwater, a fourth-year Ravenclaw.

When Penelope saw Kyle, her eyes shone with excitement. Three years ago before school started, she had been shopping alone in Diagon Alley but mispronounced the place name and ended up in Knockturn Alley via the Floo network. Not surprisingly, as soon as she walked out of the Borgin and Burkes antique shop, she was targeted by dark wizards. In Knockturn Alley, underage wizards with magical talents were highly sought after.

Several dark wizards surrounded Penelope, debating how to divide this "windfall fortune." Fortunately, Kyle showed up at this time. She couldn't remember the appearance of the dark wizards back then, only the fiery fire that filled the sky. Besides that, the little boy who was obviously several years younger than her escorted her back to the junction of Knockturn Alley and Diagon Alley. He had said coolly, "Please call me Lord Mephisto from now on!"
