The Diary Of A Queer Warlock

Chapter 9: First Day Of Lessons

In the last three years, he had nothing other than a wanderer which was why it was difficult for him to learn spells. It was a thing of luck that he was able to survive both the world of humans and magic all by himself. It was in one of his wandering sessions that he came across Jasper.

He didn't recognise Jasper at first sight but when he heard the name, he knew it was the famed Lord Jasper. According to his big brother, Jasper was connected to Adrian's mother as the two had the same Magic Lord as a master, only that Jasper was his mother's junior.

Jasper himself probably didn't even know that Adrian was the child of his senior.

"What a pathetic story, I see it's indeed fate that brought us together. I have no idea why Devil Ghost targeted you in the first place. He's a troublesome person by nature so there's every tendency he's one of your secret enemies too.

But if you're targeted by someone at his level constantly, your life would be a really tough one. As much as I hate being kind, I'll offer you sessions of training spells and you'll have access to my Magic Scripture Hall" Jasper commented, his hands tapping on the table.

At this time, Adrian quietly listened to what fate Jasper laid out for him. He breathed a sigh of relief when he got to learn that Jasper was at least considerate enough to grant him magical knowledge. This was something he needed badly and he was ready to take it even if it were from the hands of a pervert Magic Lord.

"You may go to bed for now, early at dawn tomorrow, your classes will begin in earnest" Jasper said, his figure fading out of the room like he wasn't present in the first place.

Adrian's jaw dropped as he witnessed Jasper's mesmerising disappearance stance. As much as his eyes held back the gaze of infatuation, his heart throbbed with fantasies that distracted him from falling asleep again.

As soon as he witnessed the sun rise, he galloped his way to an open space in the castle. This space was the ideal classroom for young warlocks and thanks to Jasper's manipulation of spatial laws, it was as big as a small city.

Adrian immediately assumed a cross-legged position in the vast field that was the open space. The air in this space was well attuned to practicing magic as it possessed a stronger natural force and spiritual energy compared to the human realm where he wandered in the last couple of years.

Jasper's figure suddenly popped out from the clouds, he was riding an actual rainbow cloud and flying in Adrian's direction. The grace, charm and aura he radiated made Adrian gulp and even his belly rumbled weirdly.

For the umpteenth time, Jasper was way too cool and lethally handsome. Also, with his narcissism, he didn't spare any effort to conceal the elegance in him.

Adrian sat while dreamily gazing at the rainbow eyes that suddenly transported into a wondrous dimension. It was a world of volcanoes, stirring oceans, several forests, a cluster of mountains, galaxies of stars and rampaging thunder in place of clouds.

This world was impossible to believe and Adrian caught up in its wonder couldn't restore his consciousness to reality on time.

"Adrian?" Jasper called out to the dazed Adrian but got no reply.

"Adrian!!" He called again twice in succession but Adrian had yet to snap out of the vision.

"Silly kid!" Jasper's lips curled as a cold glint flashed through his eyes.

He walked down to Adrian, placed his hand on the latter's head and muttered a strange chant.

In Adrian's brain, the images of the world in Jasper's eyes continuously overlapped, making him lost in his mind's reality. While this was going on, a finger sized thunderbolt suddenly crackled within his brain, shattering all the images at the same time.

"AAHHH!!" Adrian screamed aloud, his hand holding his head while he shivered nonstop for a minute.

Jasper's simple touch possessed a complex enchantment that could shock people out of illusions and dreams. He could have actually gone lighter in his approach, but he decided against doing so, thereby causing near brain damage to poor Adrian.

Adrian's eyes sternly focused on a smiling Jasper while he boiled inwardly. Though he was very angry right now, he was still rational. Just now, Jasper was not even being serious and was only playing, yet Adrian's brain barely survived damage.

Adrian understood that if he wanted a chance to play fair and beat Jasper in his game of torture, he needed to be able to practice his spells to a godly level.

"Good morning master" Adrian murmured, the tone of his voice hiding the malice in his heart.

"I don't think that's a nice greeting, if you're going to greet me, do it nicely and with a smile" Jasper scoffed, his tone intent on being petty.

Adrian's face instantly darkened, a frown growing instead of the smile. That was it, this pervert was really annoying. He was just about to kill him now by quaking his brain and now he expected him to give him a greeting with a smiling face.

That was asking for too much.

"Oh! You're mad at me now, it's fine. I guess you don't need my presence to teach you anymore. I have other important matters to attend to, I'll see you around" Jasper said, tapping his feet on the ground.

Next, a rainbow cloud formed underneath his feet as he levitated upwards.

"Wait a minute, he's going for real? No way" Adrian said disbelievingly.

It was bizarre to think that an acclaimed and titled Magic Venerable would get this petty when dealing with a teenager.

"Lord Jasper!! Lord Jasper!! Hang on, Wait" Adrian shouted at Jasper's slowly ascending figure.

In midair, Jasper's lips curled into a smile as his mission was achieved.

He had forced the kid to concede at the end of the day, quite impressive of him to have done so.
