The Domineering Female CEO

Chapter 40: Chapter 40

Eliana smiled, looking relieved. "Thank you, Xavier. It means a lot to me."

I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her close. "Don't worry, babe. We'll make this work. We'll get married in Sky City, and we'll make sure the board of directors is there to witness it."

Eliana nodded, her eyes shining with happiness. "I love you, Xavier."

"I love you too, Eliana," I replied, smiling.

We stood there for a moment, holding each other and basking in the warmth of our love. Then, Elvis and Royalty interrupted us, grinning from ear to ear.

"Hey, lovebirds! Congratulations on the upcoming wedding!" Elvis exclaimed.

Royalty nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we're super excited for you guys!"

Eliana and I laughed, feeling happy and grateful for our friends' support.

Eliana's POV:

I gazed into Xavier's eyes, my heart filled with conviction. "Yes, it's a contract marriage, but it doesn't have to be loveless. I believe we can make this work, and who knows, maybe our initial agreement will blossom into something real."

Xavier's face softened, a warm smile spreading across his features. "I feel the same way, Eliana. This marriage may have started as a business arrangement, but I'm excited to see where it takes us."

I took a deep breath, my voice barely above a whisper. "And when the time is right, we'll remarry, making our union official and forever."

Xavier's arms enveloped me, holding me close. "Forever sounds perfect to me, my love."

Xavier's arms enveloped me, holding me close. "Forever sounds perfect to me, my love."

As we walked out of the restaurant, Xavier turned to me with a charming smile. "Hey, babe, why don't you come with me to my hotel? We can spend some more time together."

I hesitated, knowing I had work the next day. But before I could refuse, Xavier's eyes sparkled with understanding. "Don't worry, babe. I'll take you to get some new clothes that fit perfectly for work. You won't have to worry about what to wear tomorrow."

His thoughtful gesture made my heart skip a beat. But I still had to decline. "Thank you, Xavier, but I should really get going."

With that, we finished eating and prepared to part ways. I took Royalty's hand, and we walked together, while Xavier and Elvis strolled ahead of us.

As we walked, I couldn't shake off the feeling that someone was watching me. I glanced around, but everyone seemed to be minding their own business. I frowned, trying to pinpoint the source of my unease, but it remained elusive.

I turned to Xavier and said babe we will come with you guys to the hotel

Xavier's face lit up with a bright smile as he turned to me. "Really? You'll come with us?"

I nodded, and Royalty, who was still holding my hand, looked at me with a curious expression.

Xavier's eyes sparkled with excitement as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders. "Awesome! I'll show you guys the penthouse suite. It's got an amazing view of the city."

Elvis, who was walking beside us, chuckled. "Yeah, and Xavier's got a whole collection of video games and movies to keep us entertained."

Royalty raised an eyebrow. "Video games? You're such a nerd, Elvis."

Elvis grinned. "Hey, someone's got to keep things interesting around here."

As we continued walking towards the hotel, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. What would the rest of the night hold?

Royalty's eyes widened in alarm as I whispered to her, "Let's go shopping. I think someone is following us, and I don't want to take the risk of going home alone."

She nodded quickly, her gaze scanning the surrounding area. "I've been feeling like someone's been watching us too," she whispered back. "Let's get out of here and lose them in the crowd."

I nodded, and we quickly changed direction, heading towards a nearby shopping district. Xavier and Elvis, oblivious to our concerns, continued walking towards the hotel.

As we walked, Royalty leaned in close to me. "Do you think it's Tiana and Rubby again?" she whispered.

I frowned, my mind racing with possibilities. "I'm not sure, but we need to be careful. Let's just get lost in the crowd for now and regroup later."

As Royalty and I continued shopping, I kept a watchful eye on our surroundings, still feeling a sense of unease. But just as I was starting to worry that we'd lost Xavier and Elvis, I saw them turn a corner and head in our direction.

Xavier's eyes locked onto mine, and he smiled, his expression reassuring. Elvis, too, looked relieved, and they both quickened their pace to catch up with us.

Once they reached us, Xavier asked, "Everything okay? You guys seemed to take off in a hurry."

I smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards him. "Yeah, everything's fine. We just needed to get some shopping done."

Xavier nodded, and we continued shopping together. When it was time to pay, Xavier insisted on covering the costs, and we ended up with a few bags of new clothes and shoes.

As we left the store, Elvis clapped Xavier on the back. "Now that we've got the shopping out of the way, let's head back to the hotel and relax."

Xavier nodded, and we all made our way back to the hotel together, feeling more at ease now that we were all together again.

As we arrived at the hotel, Xavier handed the receptionist his credit card to check us in. After a few minutes, the receptionist handed him a set of room keys.

"Alright, we're all set," Xavier said, smiling at me. "You and I will be sharing a room, and Elvis and Royalty can take the room next door."

I nodded, feeling a flutter in my chest as I realized I'd be sharing a room with Xavier. Elvis and Royalty, on the other hand, seemed completely at ease with each other, and they headed off to their room, chatting and laughing.

Xavier turned to me, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Shall we?" he asked, gesturing towards our room.

I nodded, and we walked into the room together, the door closing softly behind us.

I turned to Xavier, my mind racing with thoughts about our upcoming move. "Babe, do you think Tiana and Rubby will be there too?"

Xavier's expression turned serious, but his voice remained reassuring. "Yes, they'll be there, but don't worry, I'll try my best to avoid them. Okay? You don't have to worry about them."

I nodded, feeling a slight sense of relief.

Xavier's eyes locked onto mine, his gaze intense. "And there's something else we need to discuss. You need to find a suitable date soon to come to Sky City for the marriage contract."

My heart skipped a beat as I processed his words. A fake fiancé? Was that really what I had to do? But I knew it was part of the agreement. I nodded, determination etched on my face. "I'll take care of it, Xavier."

As I finished speaking, Xavier's eyes sparkled with anticipation. He nodded, his face inching closer to mine. My heart skipped a beat as his lips brushed against mine, sending shivers down my spine.

The kiss deepened, and I felt myself melting into his arms. The world around us faded away, leaving only the two of us, lost in the moment.

The rest of the night was a blur, a whirlwind of passion and desire. We lost ourselves in each other's eyes, our hearts beating as one.

As the night wore on, I knew that I was falling deeper and deeper in love with Xavier. And as I drifted off to sleep in his arms, I knew that our fake engagement was starting to feel very real.

The next morning, the alarm Xavier had set the night before pierced through the air, signaling the start of a new day. We quickly sprang into action, getting dressed for the day ahead. Xavier, being the gentleman he was, helped me with the final touches, carefully clipping my bra and zipping up my office gown.

As we finished getting ready, Xavier's eyes locked onto mine, filled with a deep sincerity. He took a step closer, his movements deliberate, and knelt down in front of me. In his hand, he held a small, exquisite box.

"Babe, I know this marriage may have started as a business arrangement," he began, his voice low and husky, "but I have to be honest with you – my feelings for you have evolved. I know what we have is real, at least to me. Please accept this ring as a symbol of my love, and in the eyes of the public, it will be your engagement ring."

My heart skipped a beat as I stared at the ring, my mind reeling with emotions. The diamond sparkled in the morning light, and I felt a sense of wonder wash over me. I looked up at Xavier, his eyes searching mine for an answer.

With tears of joy in my eyes, I nodded enthusiastically, and Xavier slid the ring onto my finger. It fit perfectly, sparkling in the morning light. I couldn't help but smile at him, feeling a sense of happiness and belonging.

Xavier's face lit up with a bright smile as he stood up, his eyes never leaving mine. He grabbed my bag, and we walked out of the hotel room together, hand in hand.

As we made our way to the hallway, we met up with Elvis and Royalty, who were chatting and laughing together. "Hey, guys!" Elvis called out, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Ready to head out?"

We nodded in unison, and the four of us made our way to the parking lot, the morning sunlight casting a warm glow over our little group. As we walked, I couldn't help but steal glances at the ring on my finger, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation for what the future held.

Xavier's lips brushed against mine in a gentle, sweet kiss. "I'll miss you, babe," he whispered, his breath sending shivers down my spine.

I smiled, feeling a pang of sadness that he had to leave. "I'll miss you too, Xavier. But you have to go make that movie magic happen in Sky City."

Xavier chuckled and nodded. "I'll be back before you know it, and we can pick up right where we left off."

With one last glance, Xavier turned and climbed into the car with Elvis. They exchanged a brief farewell with Royalty and me before driving off towards the airport, bound for Sky City and their exciting new movie project.

As we watched them leave, Royalty turned to me with a sympathetic smile. "You're going to miss him, aren't you?"

I nodded, feeling a little wistful. "Yeah, I am. But he has to work, and I'll see him in a few weeks. It's not so bad."

Royalty nodded in understanding. "You're right. And who knows, maybe we can even plan a trip to Sky City to visit him on set."

I brightened at the idea. "That sounds like a great plan. Let's make it happen."

With that, Royalty and I made our way to the office, chatting and laughing together as we went. Despite the distance that was about to separate us, I felt grateful for the love and connection that Xavier and I shared.
