The dreamer: Adventure in MHA(Previously MHA x The Backrooms)

Chapter 50: The long awaited day

The child snored as he slept on the plane that was going on for two and a half weeks, he got bored pretty quick and was in a coma like state until his phone began ringing, the day has come, the entrance exam was a few minutes away from happening. He groaned as he somehow still felt sleepy even after weeks of sleeping like in a coma. He slowly stood up as the winds howled to wake him up and after a few seconds of yawning, stretching and breathing deeply, he finally opened his eyes fully, being met with the beautiful night sky, unchanging for this flight.

He walked to the side of the plane and slid down onto the wing before sitting away from the engine so he doesn't become fertilizer for the ground, he pat the plane, before falling backwards and allowing the plane to board for someone else's therapy. He fell through space, from his new sublevel to the perfect void, to the frontrooms at UA High. He stood there, the early comers walking past him as he looked over the giant building, before him a staircase and three doors with the numbers from 1 to 3 written on them. He confidently began walking forward in a jumpy manner.

And once he reached the doors he came to stop, his confident attitude turned into a complete confusion as he opened his mouth slightly and gave a confused look at the three doors. "What the fu~?" He stood there dumbfounded and unsure of where to go.

He stepped backwards from the stairs and looked the situation more thoroughly, but nothing came to mind, he walked back and forth and pretended to think just to hide himself from this awkward situation.

He could have just follow after those who have entered the building, but he actually enjoyed the comedic scene he created for himself. It was light headed, and it actually gave him something to laugh about in the future. It wasn't always that he came to a situation where he would be confused or not knowing of what is going to happen. He rubbed his chin while looking back at the doors, some people recognized him and started recording... 'Why do everyone know me? I don't want this unnecessary attention.' His mind cried out, but he didn't seem bothered by it on the outside. But this thought melt away as he heard chuckles and even some louder laughters. He has been standing here for 7 straight minutes, pretending to be confused even if there was a constant stream of new people joining in for the show.

This reminded him of why he was doing it, was it to learn something? NO! He wanted to experience more things even if somethings are expected... most things. He still wanted to try and feel something new, with new people, to be closed and limited to a smaller audience in this box. That is all that he wanted something refreshing, and when it ends, he will find something more to enjoy, or just stay on the clouds.

His show was over, he seemed happy with his confusion over such simple things because he knew that the answer was at least possible. He bowed slightly to those who decided to stay and look at him being a goof. And with a smile began following the first person that walked past him towards the building, until he heard two voices, a more threatening one and another scared, yet the words were trying to prevent if the threat were true. But instead of pressing the matter he continued following the person who was already going in the building. "Eh~" He lifted his shoulders and walked after the person who slowly lead him unintentionally in the instruction room. He sat down at a random seat and once more people gathered he realized everyone else had some pieces of paper that had written a number of the person and some battle center.

Strangly enough he wasn't assigned one, and he wasn't sure how the system work... Perhaps he will just intrude once again? Or just pretend as if he is a part of the attendants. 'That's a plan.' He thought to himself as he lifted his knees, putting it onto the table before him, placing himself in a more comfortable way on the strange long bench. He was zoning off into planning, but soon the inner monolog was broken by light slowly turning on as if it was a stage, before lighting up the main stage, on it a man with a strange costume and a speaker on his neck.

"What's up UA candidates, thanks for tuning in to me, Your school DJ. C'mon, let me hear ya!" Was the intro the instructions, but it was met with awkward silence as the man shook slightly in his boots before it stopped. "Keeping it mellow, Huh? That's fine! I will skip straight to the main show. Let's talk about how this practical exam's gonna go down, ok? ARE YOU READY?.... yeah..."

He liked the man's energetic nature and decided to go with it. "Hell yeah!" He said his voice echoing throughout the room. His voice was filled with enthusiasm and excitement.

"Now that's the spirit. Like your applications said, today you rocking boys and girls will be out there conducting mock battles in super urban settings. Don't worry my friends, after I drop the mic here, you will head to your specified battle centers. All good?... Ok..." After the man stopped speaking, almost everyone looked down into the pieces of paper they were given, but the child didn't had one, so he didn't bother pretending, simply looking over everyone.

"Ok, ok let's check out your chart! There are three types of foe villains in every battle center, you will earn point based on their level of difficulty, so better choose wisely. Your goal in this trial is to use your quirk to raise your score by sheading those foe villains like it's a guitar solo. But check it, make sure you are keeping things heroic, attacking other examines is a UA no, no you dag." The man explained, shaking his finger left and right at the right sentence, yet keeping on this energetic voice.

But then a person stood up and with a loud voice spoke up "Excuse me sir, but I have a question."

"Hit me." The presenter yelled pointing at the person as a spotlight shun down on them.

"On the printout, you have enlisted four types of villains, not three. With all respect. If this is an error on official UA materials, it is shameful. We are exemplary students. We expect the best from Japan's most notable school. A mistake such as this won't do!" The person said before pointing back at a person in the dark, the kid didn't pay attention, more like zoned his words out. But then the person looked straight at the kid and addressed him directly. "And you, Sit properly! This is a school, show some respect."

"Huh?" The kid looked down at the person, some more drama was brewing. "Aw man..." He looked saddened and insulted, but then with a cold, powerful tone he leaned forward and looked at the other kid directly "You better beat me to it then."

"Uh, some drama is brewing." The presenter said, before a spotlight shun down upon the kid. This caused a reaction shocked reaction, as the other one backed away and gasped at the sight of who they were trying to order around. "It's y~you!"

"Surprised to see me? Meh... doesn't matter. Ey, teach mind if you continue on with the explanation?"

"Alright." The man replied as the spotlight on the child turned off allowing him to continue watching. The man turned to the boy and pointed at him. "Thanks for calling in with your request, the fourth villain type is worth 0 points, that guy is just an obstacle we will be throwing in your way. There is one in every battle center. Think of it a thing you should try to avoid, it's not that it can't be beaten, but there is... kinda no point." The man explained before the kid bowed at 90° and thanked out loud.

"That's all I got for you today, I will sign off with a little present a sample of our school motto. As general Napoleon Bonaparte once laid down, a true hero is one who overcomes life's misfortunes. You ready to go beyond... Let's hear a 'PLUS ULTRA'... Good luck, hope you've been practicing more than just books!" In the meantime, during the whole instruction, the screen behind the man changed from the logo of UA high into a map, into a chart with the scores of the foe villains, and finally into a video game alike.

The man said, as everyone in the room began moving towards the busses that would take them to the battle centers. The kid followed behind taking the first bus that he came across, being the bus for battle center A.
