LIGHTNOVELWORLD Chapter 76: Sayonara!
The rest of the matches for this part of the competition went on, there were easy victories. Quite the boring specter, Eth would admit, but he had to go through it and see it's end.
He was going to be put against Tenya, pretty unfair, but it all seemed this way for him... 'I am giving too much... I must begin to take... To tip over the scale, even if it means breaking it.' Eth thought as he was slowly making his way towards the arena. The epic introduction was beginning to get old and unnecessary. He took a deep breath as he was exposed to the attention of everyone who watched once again. As they both set foot in the designated spots. Present mic yelled "BEGIN!"
Eth though he enjoyed making a mockery of his enemies just for the amusement, he found Ida as a friend and decided to spare him the shame. He quickly set his suit leaving his head exposed before walking forward menacingly. He had a serious look on his face, the lower part being neutral while his eyebrows spoke his intentions. Ida quickly sprung into actions running around him to somehow confuse him while slowly making his way closer and closer.
Eth exhaled some air and closed his eyes for a few seconds, to give Ida the illusion of an opening. Ida took it, before it was rendered useless as Eth Counter grabbed him, and forced him and his kinetic energy out of the ring. "Ida is out of bounds!" Midnight announced... Another victory taken.
He sat beside his classmates as he watched for who he would be fighting, he had high hopes for Bakugo, and he wasn't disappointed. His expression didn't change, but he was happy that he would fight someone who is willing to fight fully, just like Todoroki who needed to learn it the hard way.
The waiting wasn't long as with every round of battles the time was cut by half, Etheral was waiting in one of the waiting rooms. The door opened forcefully ruining his silence, it was his opponent. "Huh... Hey, What the hell are you doing in here?~"
"This is my moment of peace, would you not. I am out of the mood for parody. So if you would be so kind to leave, it will be appreciated." Eth said cutting off the process of Bakugo speaking and him looking at the sign which had the number room on it.
"Who the hell do you think you are to order me around?!" Bakugo asked angrily as usual. "That was not an order, but it is one now." Eth said as the door suddenly glitched shut and it wouldn't budge open. "HEY I AIN'T THROUGH WITH YOU, FIGHT ME WITH YOUR FULLEST, I WANT TO SHOW EVERYONE THAT I AM BETTER THAN YOU!" Bakugo yelled behind the door.
After a few minutes of nothingness present mic began with his final introductions for today, as the two remaining contestants slowly made their way towards the ring. The stand off had begun, As Etheral suit covered him whole, Eth acted upon an idea that came up in the waiting room, from his arms emerged two in total spikes of the same grey material, not sharp, since he wasn't aiming to kill his opponent, but long enough to give him an advantage in range. Eth stood there rubbing the blades onto one another before dashing forward through reality cutting the arrival time by quite a lot before putting Bakugo's neck between them, and pushing him backwards. "Ugh, I won't go down so easily!" Bakugo yelled before putting two hands onto Eth's center and shooting out a large explosion. Which surprisingly sent him backwards.
"Good!" Eth said smiling underneath the suit, before dashing forward for an uppercut. Which was swiftly dodged and countered. Another powerful explosion, yet no results. A little knockback did nothing to him. Etheral removed the blades before pretending to punch the air, but in the last second making his fist go through reality to punch his opponent sending him towards the sky, before following it with a low gravity jump. But Bakugo didn't let this happen, so he caused another huge explosion towards his opponent.
This had a bigger effect, as the limits of the suit were at their max and the low gravity contributed for the knockback that happened. This single attack almost made him go out the ring. Etheral looked back to see how close he was to losing the match, and smiled before the suit retracted, only to his arms. "Not even close!" Eth said mockingly as he felt like things were beginning to get more interesting. "I'm not done yet!" Bakugo yelled back as he flew with the explosions from his hands.
Bakugo buried his feet in the ground once he was close enough and released yet another large explosion, Eth just chuckled as the dust slowly fell, Eth spoke as he emerged from the dust unharmed "I gotta say, i am glad you are giving in more than the two i fought earlier... But this is far from enough to take me down."
"The hell?!" Bakugo was confused, but none of it mattered as Eth took a quick swing at him and sent him flying back to the other corner. "YOU BASTARD!" Bakugo yelled as he recovered from the impact, who jumped and used his quirk to move forward while screaming angrily. "DIE!" He yelled as he reached Eth and caused another explosion, but before it could land, a pillar of firesalt appeared. "Nuke." Eth said as the impact caused a giant explosion. "Not again!" present mic yelled before the glass of the room Aizawa and he resided in shattered. Everyone felt the shockwave and a large amount of dust went up the stadium. Etheral laughed as he was unaffected by the place once again was uncovered. "Auh, God, What was that?" present mic said recovering from falling from his chair. Bakugo was unconscious with his back against the slightly crumbed wall. Little did everyone knew, everyone would have been either deaf or dead, but Eth saved everyone by glitching them back into health... As if this never happened. The teachers who were there to stop this were also in for a lot as they were sticking to the wall. Midnight stood slowly and put he hand on her head. "And... The Victor of this competition is Etheral"
