Chapter 16: Gathering Enthusiasts (Part 1)

The Third Hokage didn't say a word, just quietly watched Kudo Ryoan. Why is the Third staring at me like that? I'm anxiously waiting for an explanation!

Kudo Ryoan couldn't withstand that burning gaze any longer: "Grandpa Sanda, what brings you to my house?" The Third simply smiled, a silent tension hung in the air!

Kudo Ryoan awkwardly smiled back, scratching his head in confusion: "Did you feel something just now, Grandpa Sanda? I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my head, and it seemed like the world had changed somehow."

The Lancelot herb is something that must never be revealed; in the world of "Naruto," it's a treasure more powerful than an S+ level ninjutsu—it's a game changer.

The Third Hokage already understood in his heart that this bear child had his own secrets. After all, it's incredibly rare to hear of someone awakening a kekkei genkai, let alone doing it three times!

However, as long as he remains loyal to Konoha, wouldn't his future strength represent the strength of the village as well? Now that he had figured it out, the Third couldn't help but ask, "Is it a transformation of water-type chakra?"

Alright, since they are here to protect me, and the Third was concerned for his own safety, Kudo Ryoan gladly agreed. After assuring the Third that he wouldn't speak about the awakening, he finally saw the Third off.

After examining the lady's pet dog, Kudo Ryoan finally noticed Tsunade's discomfort. With a smile, he gently led the still-chattering lady out of the treatment room, along with her now-cured Sweetie.

While being amazed by Kudo Ryoan's talent for medical ninjutsu, the day's lesson quickly came to an end. Under the protection of four loyal Anbu, Kudo Ryoan returned home safely.

As usual, he started practicing his newly acquired skills in his training ground. Just then, from the distant woods, Kudo Ryoan detected a faint killing intent.

Brimming with confidence, Kudo Ryoan, under the watchful eyes of the Anbu, utilized his unique ninjutsu: the Water Substitution. Without alarming anyone, Kudo Ryoan stealthily approached the source of the killing intent.

Is this the little boy with the 100,000 ryō bounty? Watching the figure coming closer to himself, Kudo Ryoan perked up.

Yamada Taichi, bearing a scarred face, smiled sinisterly. This was an opportunity dropped right at his feet! Originally, as an elite chunin-level rogue missing-nin, his reputation in the black market was notorious.

As Yamada Taichi launched several shuriken towards Kudo Ryoan's vital points, a wooden post replaced Kudo Ryoan's original position.

"What?! Such quick reflexes?" Thinking it was a swift battle, Yamada Taichi immediately cast, "Tiger, Fire Release: Lantern Technique!" and several fiery orbs resembling lanterns appeared around him, hurtling towards the now-revealed Kudo Ryoan.

"Tiger-Snakes-Tiger-Snakes-Tiger-Snakes, Water Release: Water Curtain Technique!" A wall of water appeared in front of Kudo Ryoan, blocking the flaming projectiles. This was Kudo Ryoan's C-rank customized version of the B-rank ninjutsu Water Release: Water Barrier, based on memories from his past life.

A figure dashed through the wall of water, and several shuriken flew towards Yamada Taichi. Seeing the small figure rush toward him, Yamada Taichi thought, "This kid really lacks combat experience; what a reckless brat."

In his mind, as he sidestepped the attack, his right hand's katana pierced the "Kudo Ryoan's" body.

Unfortunately, Kudo Ryoan's body instantly turned into a puddle of water, splashing onto the ground. Before Yamada Taichi could react to the oncoming danger, a water vortex appeared beside him.

"Tiger-Snakes-Tiger-Snakes-Tiger-Snakes, Water Release: Vortex Tornado!!!" Already positioned behind Yamada Taichi, Kudo Ryoan clasped his hands together, unleashing the most deadly jutsu he had mastered thus far.

The body couldn't comprehend the speed of the mind; in an instant, Yamada Taichi became a splash of blood, merging into the water vortex before Kudo Ryoan.
