Chapter 57: My Moon My Man Part 1
(Marvel, DC, images, manhuas, and every anime that will be mentioned and used in this story are not mine. They all belong to their respective owners. The main character "Karito Josue Valdez" and the story are mine)
Under the cover of the night, Militech headquarters buzzed with the frantic chatter of reports detailing the events of the day prior. The aftermath of the skirmish left the military might of the corporation in a state of utter disarray, and as the reports rolled in, it became clear that the damage was far worse than initially anticipated. A live feed of the surviving soldiers showed them in a state of disbelief, aghast at the ease with which two individuals had decimated their top-notch army.
Whispers of anomalies had been circulating for weeks, but no one could have predicted the absolute devastation that had unfolded. An anonymous source had shed light on the battle, divulging that for the first few hours, a single man had held the entire army at bay, his mastery of crowd control a thing of awe. It was only later that a second individual, believed to be his brother, arrived on the scene, bolstered by a highly advanced cyberskeleton. Together, in a matter of mere seconds, the two had laid waste to the army, leaving nothing but a trail of destruction in their wake.
As the dust settled, reports trickled in that one of the individuals, Spider-Man, was nowhere to be found, while the other, the cyberskeleton-enhanced hero, was making a beeline for Arasaka. The implications of this development were dire, and the air inside the Militech headquarters was thick with apprehension and uncertainty.
(Man 1) "The Basilisk is down!"
(Man 2) "The Spider guy was able to cut a tank in half, how?!"
(Man 3) "The fixer's sold us bad intel!"
(Man 4) "So many of our comrades are dead..."
(Man 1) "Call for backup!"
(Man 5) "We've spotted the man with the cyberskeleton! He's on the move!"
(Man 6) "He's heading straight for Night City!"
(Man 7) "Cyberskeleton! We can't allow 'Saka to recover it!"
As David and the gang fled the scene, the roar of multiple Militech trucks echoed in their ears, their headlights piercing the night like the eyes of a predator. Falco's car, their only means of escape, was taking heavy fire, but the vehicle proved to be more resilient than anticipated. Despite the hail of bullets raining down upon them, the group remained composed and quickly evaluated their predicament. With their lives on the line, they scrambled to devise a plan, improvising every step of the way.
(Falco) "Well? Where now?" Continues dodging Militech's attempts to ram them over
(David) "Like Karito said, Arasaka!"
(Falco) "HQ? City Center?"
(David) "That's right!"
(Rebecca) "This is going to be a tiring night."
(David) "Karito is risking his life to save Lucy and he's gifted us with power! If he wants to take down Arasaka because supervillains corrupted it then I won't hesitate."
(Rebecca) "I know, I know. I just hope nothing bad happens to him while saving her."
(David) "Karito will come back. A different dimension isn't going to stop him from returning. Right now we need to concentrate on dealing with Faraday and another guy Karito warned me about."
(Rebecca) "And who's the guy?"
(David) "Adam Smasher."
(Falco) "What?! He told you to fight him?!"
(David) "Karito believes in my chances of winning and with his power, we can do anything."
Undeterred by the persistent pursuit, Falco deftly navigated the winding roads of the tollbooth, leading the crew into the heart of Night City. However, as they passed through the checkpoint, the ominous sight of the Militech vehicles multiplied before their eyes, swarming like a pack of wolves closing in on their prey. The group braced themselves for the inevitable confrontation, their adrenaline pumping as they prepared to face the full force of their enemy's wrath.
(Falco) "Hey, folks. Militech's multiplying."
(David) "W-Wait... I just... gotta rest my eyes sec..." Takes a nap
(Rebecca) "For real?! Shit! Shake 'em off! David needs to take five."
(Falco) "What?! Right now?!"
(Rebecca) "Yup."
(Falco) Grumbles "Okay. All right! If he needs five, I'll buy him five!" Thoughts "So Karito said that this Party whatever works like a video game with voice commands... If that's the case." Speaks "SYSTEM SHOP!"

After completing the purchase, Falco couldn't wait to try out his new ride. As he revved the engine, he felt a surge of power coursing through the sleek black exterior. Suddenly, the Batmobile began to transform before his eyes, its body elongating and its features becoming sharper and more menacing. The wheels split apart, revealing powerful jet thrusters that propelled the vehicle forward at lightning speed.
Falco's heart raced as he took the Batmobile out for a spin, reveling in its incredible speed and agility. With this powerful weapon at his disposal, he knew that he was one step closer to achieving his ultimate goal: taking down Militech and saving the city from its grip of terror.
(Rebecca) "What the hell did you do?!"
(Falco) "I just bought a whole new vehicle that's what I did!"
(Rebecca) "How the fuck does David still fit in here?!"
To answer your question, Player Rebecca it's because the Batmobile has its own dimensional space inside. The reason is that Player Falco bought it from the store so to accommodate everyone inside I also purchased a small dimensional space so everyone can fit comfortably.
(Rebecca) "...Karito could do this the entire time?"
(Falco) "Yup, he's been holding back on us big time."
(Rebecca) "Okay then, let's see what these babies can do! I'll take care of mowing them down, you just drive!"
(Falco) "Roger!"
Rebecca strode confidently to the center of the Batmobile, taking her seat in the sleek, high-tech cockpit. A holographic chair materialized beneath her, displaying a detailed readout of the car's interior. She smirked as she surveyed the array of advanced weaponry at her disposal, her fingers itching to test the Batmobile's full potential.
As a Militech truck sped past, Rebecca wasted no time in taking aim. With a deft flick of her wrist, she unleashed a devastating barrage of firepower, the explosive impact of her shot sending the truck careening into the air in a fiery blaze. As the dust settled, Rebecca's eyes widened in awe at the sheer power of the Batmobile. The vehicle had exceeded all her expectations, and she couldn't help but laugh in exhilaration at the incredible rush of adrenaline that filled her veins.
(Rebecca) "HOLY FUCK THIS THING IS AWESOME!"
(Falco) Sees a red button "Is this a harpoon?" Presses it
With a flick of his wrist, Falco activated the Batmobile's advanced harpoon system, unleashing a projectile of unparalleled speed and precision. In an instant, the harpoon had pierced through the metal of the pursuing Militech truck, pulling it inexorably towards the Batmobile like a hapless prey ensnared in a trap.
As the truck hurtled towards them, Falco's eyes widened in surprise, but the Batmobile seemed unfazed, revving its engine and accelerating with a ferocity that left the pursuing Militech vehicles in the dust. With a resounding crash, the Batmobile sliced through the truck like a hot knife through butter, tearing it asunder with a force that sent shrapnel flying in every direction.
Undaunted, Falco smirked in triumph, his heart racing with adrenaline as he stepped on the gas, pushing the Batmobile to speeds that even he had never dreamed possible. It was clear that with this incredible machine at his command, he was a force to be reckoned with - a true master of the roads.
(Falco) "HAHAH! This thing is awesome."
(Rebecca) "I never thought that my dream car would be disguised as a tank! HAHA!"
With a steady hand, Rebecca grasped the handle of the Batmobile's formidable machine gun, unleashing a relentless barrage of bullets that sliced through the air with deadly precision. Each bullet found its mark with unerring accuracy, exploding upon impact and unleashing a wave of devastation that engulfed their Militech pursuers in a torrent of fire and destruction.
As the carnage unfolded behind them, the road littered with the smoldering ruins of their enemies' vehicles, Rebecca couldn't help but laugh in exhilaration. It was a symphony of destruction, a breathtaking display of power and skill that left her heart racing.
(Falco) "Shit, another swarm ahead! Arasaka this time!"
(Rebecca) "Okie-dokie! Barrel on through! This baby can take it!"
(Falco) "Hell yeah! Fire the missiles!"
With a deft touch, Rebecca's fingers danced over the buttons of the Batmobile's sleek control panel, activating a deadly barrage of missiles that soared through the air with lethal intent. Each missile struck its target with unerring accuracy, obliterating every Arasaka vehicle in their path with a thunderous explosion that left nothing but smoldering ruins in its wake.
Undeterred, the remaining Arasaka vehicles surged forward, hurtling towards Falco with reckless abandon. But they soon discovered that their efforts were in vain, for the Batmobile was an unstoppable force, a juggernaut of destruction that brooked no opposition. With each passing moment, the car grew more and more powerful, tearing through every obstacle in its path with a grace and ease that belied its fearsome strength.
As they sped towards the heart of Night City, every Arasaka vehicle that dared to stand in their way was crushed beneath the Batmobile's mighty wheels, reduced to nothing more than twisted wreckage and shattered dreams. And through it all, Falco remained resolute, his eyes fixed firmly on their ultimate goal - to emerge victorious, no matter the cost.

Arasaka HQ
(Douglas) "Militech's military power has been completely decimated, sir. The test subject has already infiltrated the city and our team is prepared to retrieve him. However, it appears that the test subject's allies have obtained a highly destructive weapon."
(Dark Norman Osborn) "I had not anticipated the Guardian unlocking the party system. This complicates matters greatly."
(Secretary) "Sir, is it possible that they could pose a threat to us? I find that difficult to believe."
(Dark Norman Osborn) "The Guardian's party system grants the 'Guardian's Blessing' to all those invited to his party, which enables them to harm us. This is precisely why I said it would be problematic."
(Secretary) "What?! I was unaware such a thing existed. I thought it had to be unlocked."
(Dark Norman Osborn) "It does, but I suspect he was able to program his own system before unlocking it. It appears he discovered a glitch in his own system."
(Secretary): "So you mean he rushed the process?"
(Dark Norman Osborn) "Indeed, he did."
(Kate) "Sir, based on their current trajectory, there is a 74 percent chance that their destination is our headquarters."
(Dark Norman Osborn) "That much is evident, Kate. The Guardian has bestowed his allies with the power to confront us, sending them toward our stronghold. I fear the possibility of our defeat is high, except for me, of course."
(Kate) "Sir, do we have any contingency plans?"
(Dark Norman Osborn) "We did not become the leading corporation in the world by chance, Kate. Nevertheless, I am apprehensive about the Guardian's potential strategies. Contact our security team and prepare for battle."
(Douglas & Kate) "Yes, sir!" They exit the office.
(Dark Norman Osborn) "Equip Adam Smasher with a Dark Crystal and ready him for transformation. We may require his assistance in combatting the protagonist from this world. I will only intervene if the Guardian himself appears, which is unlikely given the trap we have set for him with Mr. Negative."
(Secretary) "Sir, while the Guardian is formidable, I doubt he could survive the obliteration of an entire reality. To withstand a Big Bang and survive is unlikely."
(Dark Norman Osborn) "He cannot endure it, but if he is fortunate enough, he may escape before the destruction occurs."
(Secretary) "Forgive me, sir, but I have never witnessed you so apprehensive before."
(Dark Norman Osborn) "When you have lived as long as I have, you encounter a myriad of enemies. It is better to be cautious and prepared than to be caught off guard."
(Secretary) "I comprehend, sir. I share your concerns."
...
Arasaka's transportation
(Faraday) "Imagine that, Arasaka counter intel extending an invitation to a lowly fixer like me. Quite the promotion, I do say so myself. Now that fucker Mr. Negative won't look down on me!" Laughs "But, even this leap I consider only a single step in my ascent. The Darks do not reward complacency." His phone chimes and picks up the call
(Kiwi) "Faraday."
(Faraday) "Kiwi. What's the hold-up?"
(Kiwi) "David donned the cyberskeleton as planned and Spider-Man was separated from them, the two of them almost wiped out Militech. Not completely."
(Faraday) "Go on."
(Kiwi) "I think it's possible that Spider-Man has found a way to keep David from going into cyberpsychosis. If David comes through without goin' full, he's gunnin' got us next, I know it."
(Faraday) "That those two brothers are incredibly resilient. But it's nothing Arasaka's recovery team can't clean up, I'm sure."
(Kiwi) "Maybe. but I'm not about to chance it. I did my part, so I'm skippin' town. Zip me my eds, and we're done. Contract closed."
(Faraday) "Not quite. We need to confirm everyone is dead, especially Spider-Man. I'll need you as a backup. Meet me at the drop point. You'll get your cut then. Besides, I'd hope to see you one last time. We owe ourselves that much."
(Kiwi) Scoffs "How sweet of you..." Hangs up "...What the hell am I doing...? This feels wrong... very wrong... This... guilt... It's suffocating."

David Pov
I found myself in a dream, transported back to a place I once called home: Santo Domingo. Every detail was vivid, from the winding streets to the flickering lights that cast shadows on the pavement. As I walked the familiar path with Karito by my side, a sudden feeling of emptiness permeated the air. The silence was deafening, punctuated only by the cold mechanical voice of the intercom, dictating when to walk and when to stop.
As I traversed the desolate landscape, I couldn't help but wonder how my life had spiraled out of control. When did everything go so wrong? The question lingered in my mind, unanswered. And at that moment, I longed for my big brother's wisdom, for his reassuring presence to guide me through the darkness. But he was gone, leaving me to navigate this desolate wasteland on my own.
Reality
I was abruptly woken up by the cacophony of chaos outside. The sounds of multiple car crashes filled the air, followed by deafening explosions and the relentless rattling of machine gun fire. Slowly, I pried my eyes open to reveal the unfamiliar exterior of what appeared to be a car. It was then that I noticed Falco and Rebecca beside me, wearing wide grins as they fired weapons at our enemies with incredible precision. But as I gazed around the interior of the vehicle, I couldn't help but feel bewildered. When did Falco's car become a weapon of mass destruction? I had no recollection of it ever being this advanced, equipped with an arsenal of weapons that turned everything in its path into dust. The vehicle released a barrage of missiles, explosive rounds, harpoons, and various other weapons that left me spellbound. It was clear that if we kept up this relentless assault, we would arrive at Arasaka's doorstep in no time at all.
(Rebecca) "Goddamnit. They just keep comin'!" Looks at David "Oh, hello sleepy head! You can keep sleeping if you want! This monster of a tank is just built differently." Chuckles
The Batmobile's engine roared as we sped through the streets of Night City, leaving a trail of destruction in our wake. We were being chased by Arasaka's top persuaders, but with Falco's expert driving and Rebecca's precise shooting, we were holding our own. The persuaders were hot on our tail, firing their weapons relentlessly, but we swerved and dodged, barely avoiding their deadly shots.
As we raced down the streets, Falco suddenly hit a button on the Batmobile's dashboard, causing the car to transform into a sleek, airborne vehicle. We soared above the buildings, dodging the persuaders' shots as they tried to take us down.
But they weren't prepared for the Batmobile's advanced weaponry. With a press of a button, we unleashed a barrage of missiles, explosions rocking the pursuers as they swerved to avoid the blasts. Rebecca continued to fire her guns, taking out the persuaders one by one.
As we neared Arasaka's headquarters, our enemies seemed to multiply, appearing from every side. But we weren't deterred. Falco swerved and weaved through the chaos, Rebecca's aim never faltering. It was a dangerous game of cat and mouse, and we were determined to win.
(Rebecca) "That's the shit! HAHAHA!"
It is imperative that I maintain my composure, even as the strain on my mind and body threatens to shatter my resolve. The cyberskeleton, with all its advanced features, is both a gift and a curse. I am powerful, yes, but at what cost? Karito's words echo in my mind: "Only use the immunoblockers when necessary." For now, I will heed his advice and hope that my mental fortitude will hold. But the headaches persist, a constant reminder of the toll my powers take on me. And the dreams...they are so vivid, so real. I see her face, my mother's face, and it fills me with an indescribable ache. How I long for her guidance, for her comfort in these troubled times. But she is gone, lost to me forever.
(Gloria) "You have to work hard and rise through the ranks. Both of my sons at Arasaka Tower's top floor! I can just see it. Heck, Karito might even go beyond it if you two work together you can create wonders! I know you two got this. You are my son's after all."
(Rebecca) "Hey, David! Stop daydreaming!"
(David) Snaps out of it "Shit, I spaced out?"
(Rebecca) "You did, I thought I had to inject a blocker on you again."
(David) "Nah, I've been reserving myself. Pluss this car is doing a hell of a job of destroying everything. How long until we are there?"
(Falco) "A few more minutes. This baby is fast as fuck!"
(David) "Alright, I'll continue to reserve my energy. Go! Full speed ahead!"
(Falco & Rebecca) "ALRIGHT!"
...
Secret location.
Kiwi stood by the rusted fuel pump, her eyes scanning the empty street for any sign of Faraday's arrival. The abandoned gas station was a desolate place, devoid of any human presence. The silence was only broken by the occasional creaking of the windmill on the rooftop. After a few minutes, she heard a distant sound, the buzzing of Faraday's flying vehicle approaching. As the vehicle came into view, Kiwi could see its sleek, aerodynamic design, with its edges and curves glistening in the night. It slowly descended, and the whirring of its engines died down as it landed on the cracked pavement. Kiwi took a deep breath and walked towards the vehicle, ready to meet Faraday and discuss her payment.
(Kiwi) "I'm not doing any more work for you."
(Faraday) "Is that so? Such a shame." Shoots Kiwi directly at her chest
(Kiwi) Groans "A-Ahh..."
(Faraday) "My contract stipulates... I get rid of anyone who knows about the cyberskeleton. No special exceptions. Even you."
As Faraday aimed his weapon at Kiwi, she remained calm and composed, quickly analyzing the situation. With a few deft keystrokes on her cyberdeck, she accessed Faraday's cybernetic arm and triggered a glitch in its programming. In an instant, the arm twisted unnaturally to the side, causing his shot to miss her by inches.
Despite the adrenaline coursing through her veins, Kiwi could feel a sharp pain in her chest as she took advantage of the momentary distraction to flee. As she stumbled away, clutching her chest, she couldn't help but wonder how many more close calls like this she could endure before her luck finally ran out.
(Faraday) "Go! After her!" Sends two of his men after Kiwi and leaves
Requirements meet. Objective, protect Kiwi.
...
David and the gang
(Falco) "Comin' up on the Tower! What the hell do we do now?"
(Rebecca) "Don't ask me, I don't fucking know! Enemy at your right!"
(Falco) "Tch!"
Falco deftly pressed a button on the sleek dashboard of the Batmobile, triggering a surge of electricity that enveloped the car in a brilliant, pulsing field. The EMP barrier hummed with energy, like a shield of pure light, as it extended outward from the vehicle, crackling and sparking with raw, untamed power.
In an instant, the menacing Arasaka truck that had been bearing down on them came to a sudden, jarring halt, its lights flickering and its engines whining in frustration. The vehicle was a behemoth, a hulking mass of metal and chrome, but it was no match for the cutting-edge technology of the Batmobile.
With a flick of his wrist, Falco deactivated the barrier, and the Batmobile surged forward, leaving the immobilized Arasaka truck far behind. The vehicle's engines roared with fierce, primal energy as it tore down the empty street, its headlights illuminating the darkness like twin beams of pure white light.
(Falco & Rebecca) "WHOA! MAXTAC!"
(Falco) "Shit! Three AVs?"
(Rebecca) "Shit! They must've tagged David as a psycho!"
(Falco) "Rebecca! Use the 60mm cannon and take them down!"
(Rebecca) "Right!"

Arasaka HQ
(Douglas) He spoke with a tinge of worry in his voice, "Sir. MaxTac has been dispatched. City authorities are treating this as a cyberspycho incident. What a mess."
(Dark Norman Osborn) With an air of authority, replied, "With the amount of destruction the Batmobile is causing, it is hardly surprising. Matters are only going to get worse if they continue to use weapons from the Gamer Store."
(Kate) She interjected, "Sir, we must take action to prevent the situation from escalating."
(Dark Norman Osborn) He snapped back with a hint of annoyance in his voice, "Do you think I am not aware of that, Kate? Please, spare me the obvious. It is starting to grate on my nerves."
(Secretary) She spoke up with a glimmer of hope, "We can only hope they either run out of Gold or burn out on their own."
(Dark Norman Osborn) He shifted his attention to another matter, "And how is Adam doing?"
(Secretary) She replied, "He is almost done, sir. He has fully embraced the darkness."
(Douglas) He chimed in, "Then we have nothing to fear. Adam, under the influence of Darkness, will become a force only Spider-Man can handle, and he is not even in their vicinity."
The door to the office creaks open, its hinges struggling to bear the weight of the imposing figure that now steps inside. Each heavy footfall echoes through the room as if announcing the arrival of a being of immense power. The man who enters is nothing short of Herculean, his cybernetics rippling with power, his form towering over all others. And yet, it is the aura that surrounds him that truly commands attention. A cloud of darkness seems to trail behind him, enveloping him in otherworldly energy that sends shivers down the spine. As he crosses the threshold into the room, the very air seems to vibrate with his presence, and all who witness his arrival cannot help but feel a sense of unease wash over them.
(Dark Norman Osborn) "Adam, I know the feeling of absolute power. Tell me, how does it feel to be above everything else?"
(Dark Adam Smasher) "It's...indescribable. The raw power surging through my veins is something I have never experienced before."
(Dark Norman Osborn) "Excellent. The readers will be eagerly awaiting your display of power."
(Dark Adam Smasher) "Rest assured, sir, I will not disappoint. My abilities are beyond anything that these mere mortals can comprehend."
...
David and the gang
Rebecca aimed the 60mm canon at the AVs and fired. The shots echoed across the city as the AVs tried to evade the powerful blasts. But Rebecca was one step ahead of them. Falco swerved and twisted, making it difficult for them to lock onto them.
With each shot, she brought the AVs closer to the ground. It was like a game of cat and mouse, with Rebecca as the cat, and the MaxTac AVs as the mice. But Rebecca knew that this wasn't a game. Lives were at stake, and she had to act fast.
She took a deep breath and focused on her target. She knew that one false move could mean disaster. She fired again, and this time, one of the AVs exploded in mid-air.
Rebecca smirked. She had them right where she wanted them. She fired again, and another AV plummeted to the ground. But she wasn't done yet. She had to take them all down to make sure that they wouldn't pose a threat again.
Rebecca kept firing, her eyes fixed on the remaining AVs. She could feel the tension rising in the air as the AVs tried to outrun her. But she was too fast, too skilled. She aimed her canon one last time and fired.
The sound of the explosion echoed across the city as the last of the AVs fell to the ground. Rebecca breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that she had saved the day. But she also knew that there was still much work to be done.
The gang remained on high alert, their senses heightened in anticipation of any imminent danger. Suddenly, a weak and pained voice broke through their state of heightened awareness - it was Kiwi. Her voice, a mere whisper, cut through the tension on the phone line.
(Kiwi) On call "Falco..."
(Falco) Scoffs "Kiwi?"
(Rebecca) "HUH?! That two-timing bitch! I'll fucking kill her!"
(Falco) Kiwi sends Faraday's location "Huh? What am I looking at here?"
(Kiwi) "Falco, listen... Faraday, he, well... My time's ticking down."
(Falco) "So he got you, did he?"
(Kiwi) "Yup..." Groans "Did tag his AV, though. I sent you the cords... Follow 'em, you'll find the bastard."
(Falco) "You really expect us to trust you?"
(Kiwi) "I know, I know... Not even Karito... would forgive me..." Sighs "Oh, Kiwi, look at ya... It just hasn't been your day..."
(Falco) "It hasn't been a good day for any of us. All kinds of feelings have been felt in just 1 day." Mhh, you want that corp-hugger dead, blood for blood."
(Kiwi) "Nah, it's not like that... I taught Lucy never to trust a soul in this city. Everyone turns on you, at some point or other... Except for the Martinez brothers... The only two people who could actually be trusted and I still backstabbed you all... Just figure Farday's long overdue to learn an important lesson." Sighs "Please... survive... and I'm sorry..." Call ends

Kiwi Pov
The sound of footsteps grows louder and closer. I know they're coming for me. I can't bear to face them, knowing what I've done. I've betrayed the only people who ever showed me kindness in this unforgiving city. The ones who took me in when I had nothing. And now, I'm near a dumpster, surrounded by the stench of filth and waste, waiting for my inevitable end. My body is too weak to fight back, and my mind is too burdened by the weight of my guilt to even try.
All my life, I've kept my guard up, never letting anyone get too close. I thought it was the only way to survive in this cruel world. But they proved me wrong. They showed me what it's like to have real friends. And I betrayed them. I don't deserve their forgiveness, or anyone's for that matter. I'm just a worthless piece of garbage, unworthy of anything good in life.
I can hear the men now, their guns aimed at me. I close my eyes, bracing for the impact of their bullets. But suddenly, something unexpected happens.
As my heart races with fear and confusion, a robotic figure emerges from the shadows and launches an attack on the two men, swiftly and ruthlessly taking them down. I watch in shock as the anonymous machine shows no mercy, its movements precise and calculated. For a moment, I fear that the robot will turn on me next, but it surprises me by approaching and offering a small vial filled with an unfamiliar green liquid.
My mind races as I try to process the situation. Who is controlling this robot? Is it friend or foe? As I hesitantly reach out to take the vial, a familiar voice fills the air, emanating from a recording device embedded in the machine. It's Karito's voice, a sound that both comforts and confuses me. What is going on? Why would Karito send a robot to save me?
(Robot) "Hello, Kiwi. It seems you've had a tough night. This is Karito speaking, or at least a recording. But before anything else, let me ask you this: do you regret what you've done?"
(Kiwi) "Huh...? What do you mean?"
(Robot) "Do you regret betraying the people who welcomed you with open arms, the ones you laughed, drank, fought alongside, and spent most of your time with?"
(Kiwi) "I... I do regret it."
(Robot) "It's never easy, to be honest with oneself, is it? To confront the reality of your actions and admit your mistakes. But it's crucial to face the truth, for it's the only way to move forward."
(Kiwi) "..."
(Robot) "And yet, regret alone won't heal the wound you've caused. It takes more than that. It takes action, a genuine effort to make things right. The potion I offer you is a chance to do just that. To start anew and redeem yourself. To prove that you're better than your mistakes, that you're capable of growth and change."
(Kiwi) Sobs "I want to try... I want to make things right..."
(Robot) "Then drink the potion, Kiwi. Let its power heal not only your wound but also your soul. And when you stand up again, know that you have a second chance. A chance to make amends and to live a life free from the suffocating grasp of guilt."
(Kiwi) Drinks the potion "It... it worked..."
(Robot) "Yes, it did. And now, Kiwi, it's up to you to walk the path of redemption. To show us the person you will become, and to earn back the trust and respect of your friends. It won't be easy, but it's worth it. Because in the end, it's not about how many times you fall, but how many times you get back up."
As I heard Karito's poignant words, I couldn't help but stare at his robot in utter amazement. Despite the fact that I was fully aware that it was merely a recording, it felt as if he was speaking to me directly. The eloquence and poignancy of his words were beyond anything I had ever experienced before. At that moment, I realized that Karito truly possessed an extraordinary gift for imparting wisdom and guidance to those around him, and I felt grateful to have had the opportunity to hear his words of inspiration firsthand.
...
With a calculated gaze, Falco assessed the coordinates of Faraday's airborne transportation, the whir of machinery, and the flickering of screens filling the cockpit of the Batmobile. As the path of the two vehicles drew ever closer, he wasted no time in hitting a button that sent the sleek vehicle hurtling at breakneck speeds. The sudden acceleration pressed them back against their seats, a thrill of adrenaline coursing through their veins.
With deft precision, Falco maneuvered the Batmobile towards a ramp, launching it into the air with a deafening roar. They soared towards Faraday's transport, a sense of danger and excitement palpable in the air. David seized the opportunity, leaping onto the Arasaka vehicle with fluid grace.
Meanwhile, Falco and Rebecca landed in the midst of Night City, their wild ride coming to a screeching halt. The Batmobile, battered and bruised from the impact, had managed to protect its occupants from harm. They emerged unscathed, the wind still whipping around them as they gazed upon the chaos of the city.
(Faraday) "Shit! David is on top of us. Don't stop 'til we reach the loading dock!"

(Douglas) "Sir, Faraday will be arriving shortly to deliver the protagonists."
(Dark Norman Osborn) "Get ready for a fight, send Adam with you and the guards."
(Douglas) "Are we going to fight them, sir?"
(Dark Norman Osborn) "You will, I won't. Unless a change of plans arises."
(Dark Adam Smasher) "Sir."
(Dark Norman Osborn) "Adam, you're up against this world's protagonist. In the original storyline you manage to kill him but this time it will depend. Thanks to the Guardian we won't be able to continue as we planned. So I suggest you be careful in your fight, a Guardians blessing is no joke."
(Dark Adam Smasher) "It's a child's toy reliant on antigrav training wheels and borrowed power. Not even worth it."
(Dark Norman Osborn) "When I say be careful I expect you to listen, Adam."
(Dark Adam Smasher) "...Yes sir, my apologies."
...
As Faraday's vehicle landed smoothly on the rooftop of Arasaka's headquarters, his face was a mask of panic. He swiftly exited the transport and barked orders at the guards, his voice trembling with fear and rage. His eyes darted around, scanning for any sign of the target. The tension in the air was palpable as the guards hesitated, unsure of what to do. Faraday's desperation was contagious, spreading like a virus through the ranks of the Arasaka guards. The stakes were high, and the tension continued to rise as the situation unfolded before them.
(Faraday) "Kill him, you fools! Fire at will!"
Upon Faraday's demand, the Arasaka guards reacted promptly and opened fire, unleashing a hail of bullets towards the top of the vehicle. However, upon closer inspection, they realized with perplexity that David was nowhere to be found. The guards scanned their surroundings with confusion, searching for any trace of the elusive target.
(Guard) "No one's there!"
David reached the top of Arasaka Tower, the highest point in Night City. However, his ascent was not met with triumph. Instead, he was met with a debilitating migraine, a fierce pain that felt like a drill drilling into his skull. Clenching his teeth, he struggled to keep his balance as his vision began to glitch and distort, as though he was trapped in a malfunctioning video game. Memories of his mother and brother plagued him, each image repeating like a broken record, amplifying the pain that he felt. Desperately, he tried to steady his breathing, attempting to calm himself down, but the pain persisted.
(David) "Look, Mom... I'm here, very top of Arasaka Tower. But... Karito isn't here. And it feels so... lonely. So wrong without being here without Karito." Looks at the vials which were 6 left "Okay, I still have a couple of vials left. The others helped a lot in resisting and I won't let their help be in vain." Laughs "I'm not going to lose myself... Besides. My brother is Spider-Man. That must mean something... I can do this... I'm A FUCKING Martinez!!"
...
(Douglas) "Faraday, it seems someone didn't follow the plan."
(Faraday) "I did everything you asked of me and Mr. Negative ruined my plans to deliver the runner girl. After all the planning and trouble I had to deal with I deserve my cut."
(Douglas) "You were given a leash and chose to stray from it. Do you know what happens to dogs who have a habit of misbehaving?"
(Faraday) "Is that a threat? Before the netrunner girl was taken from me I was able to copy her data. You'd waste this chance?"
(Douglas) "You will not step one foot inside the facility. This is non-negotiable."
(Faraday) "That would be very unwise of you. With the information I have at my display, you must surely see you cannot afford to keep me off your payroll."
(Douglas) "And what makes you think that we don't already have the girl? We have other means which you wouldn't understand. We'll send your payment as agreed if you just disappear. We already know what plans we have for the future."
As if he was a shadow moving through the darkness, David slipped into the floor unnoticed. His Sandevistan augmentations kicked in, heightening his reflexes and perception to superhuman levels. In the blink of an eye, he was upon the guards, each strike landing with deadly precision. The scene played out in a blur of motion as if time itself had been slowed down. By the time anyone had a chance to react, the guards lay lifeless at David's feet, their weapons useless against his lightning-fast movements. It was a testament to the power of technology and human will, a lethal combination that left no room for error.
(David) "Faraday..." Angrily
(Douglas & Faraday) Gasp in shock
As David poised to deliver the final blow to Douglas, he was abruptly interrupted by a shocking sight. Adam, holding Lucy tightly in his arms, appeared out of nowhere, blocking David's attack and kicking him several feet away. The unexpected presence of Lucy with Adam, rather than with Karito as she was supposed to be, left David confused and overthinking. As he muttered to himself in distress, the intensity of his migraine skyrocketed, causing him to wince in agony.
(David) Mumbles"No...No...No. She's supposed to be with Karito... Why isn't she with Karito? I know Karito wouldn't lie to me... Did something happen to Karito? Did he get tricked? A trap? Where is he? Where is Karito? Where? WHERE? WHERE?! WHERE?!"
(Faraday) Plays dumb "The cyberskeleton returned to you as promised..." Awkwardly chuckles
(David) Uses his gravity field to destroy Faraday's leg "Shut up... I'm thinking..."
(Faraday) "GHAAAAAA! HAAAAA! FUCK! Adam! Please! Go on, kill the boy!"
(Dark Adam Smasher) "Who the fuck do you think you are to give me orders?"
(Faraday) "You fuckin' merc! Do your job!"
(Dark Adam Smasher) "My business is with the kid."
(David) "So you're the one Karito told me to kill." Faces Adam "Why the fuck do you have Lucy? Where is my brother?!"
(Dark Adam Smasher) "You're packing some pretty heavy artillery for your size, boy. I assume that the reason you still have your sanity is because of your brother?"
(David) "Don't fucking dodge my question, choom! WHERE! IS! MY! BROTHER! Was going full chrome busted your brain?!"
(Dark Adam Smasher) "You sure you wanna know that answer, boy?"
(David) "My patience is running thin! TELL ME OR I'LL KILL YOU AND FIND HIM MYSELF!"
As Adam was about to answer, David's eyes flickered with anger and frustration, fixated on the sight of Faraday being carried away by the Trauma Team. The memories of his mother and brother being left to die by the same group flooded his mind, making his blood boil with hatred. His mind was so consumed by the vivid memories and the present reality, that he didn't notice Adam's gun aimed at him until it was too late. The bullet pierced through David's flesh, causing a sharp pain that made him double over in agony.
(David) "ACK! NGH!"
(Dark Adam Smasher) "Can you really afford distractions now? Your attention should be solely on me. We are talking, boy. You wanted to know where your brother is? Well, he's dead."
David's mind went blank at Dark Adam Smasher's words. His heart sank, and his hands trembled uncontrollably. A cold, unrelenting rage crept up inside of him, but it was soon overtaken by a profound sense of despair. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.
(David) "...Huh?"
(Dark Adam Smasher) "Your brother died while saving your girl. The dimension they resided in collapsed, and your brother took the force of an entire collapsing dimension in point-blank range."
David felt like the world around him was spinning out of control. His thoughts were jumbled, and his emotions were running high.
(David) "...Y-YOU'RE LYING! KARITO CAN'T DIE! IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! NO!"
The desperation in David's voice was palpable. He was grasping at straws, hoping that somehow Dark Adam Smasher was lying or mistaken.
(Dark Adam Smasher) "Then this should prove a quick resume on what happened." He touched Lucy's head and projected memories of what happened. Karito vs Mr. Negative. The Guardian was fixing the dimension until a Dark Phantom attacked him, and the dimension started to collapse. And finally, his brother's screams.
As Dark Adam Smasher revealed the truth about Karito's death, David's world shattered around him. His eyes widened with disbelief and despair as he struggled to come to terms with the loss of his brother. The memories of their childhood, the battles they fought together, and the dreams they shared, all seemed to vanish into thin air. The pain was unbearable as if a hole had opened up inside of him, and he couldn't stop the tears that streamed down his face.
But soon, the despair turned into something else. Something much darker. David felt an overwhelming rage building up inside him, like a fire consuming him from within. The pain of his loss turned into anger, and he couldn't control the urge to lash out. He wanted to hurt Adam, to make him pay for what he had done. His fists clenched, his teeth gritted, and he let out a primal scream of pure rage.
(David) "RAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"
As David roared in a fit of uncontainable rage, he activated his Sandevistan and fiercely seized Lucy from Adam's grasp, whirling around and bolting towards the exit. However, he made a quick and vengeful stop, making sure to deal with Faraday by splitting him in two with his cybernetic hand. David's fury had blinded him, allowing Adam to effortlessly keep up with him, aided by his own Sandevistan and a shoulder-mounted launcher armed with rockets. In a flash, Adam launched the deadly projectiles towards David, who shielded Lucy with his own body, taking the full brunt of the impact. The force of the explosion launched him out of the building, leaving him unconscious and still consumed by a wave of intense and overwhelming anger. His eyes flickered and glitched uncontrollably, a testament to the level of fury that had overtaken him.
(Lucy) "David, come on! Can you hear me?! I'm right here. It's me, it's Lucy! Please! David, come back to me!" Sobs "Come back..."
As Lucy gazed at David, her heart ached at the sight of the man she loved consumed by grief and anger. Tears streamed down her face, mirroring the pain and sorrow that weighed heavily on her lover's heart. The chaos and violence around them seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them under the moon's gentle glow. In a desperate attempt to calm David down, Lucy leaned in and kissed him deeply, pouring all the love she had into the gesture. For a moment, time stood still as they held onto each other, seeking solace and comfort in each other's embrace. But as they parted, David's eyes widened with a sudden realization, snapping him out of his despair and back into the harsh reality of their situation.
(David) "Lucy..."
(Lucy) "Oh, David..." Sobs "I'm sorry..."
(David) His eyes water "It's not your fault... But it hurts..."
(Lucy) "He was your only family..."
(David) "...I know... But... He gave me one last thing to cling to..."
(Lucy) "...But..."
(David) "Please... Don't let his sacrifice be in vain..."
(Lucy) Tears fall "I-I didn't want any of this to happen... And now... he's gone... And I don't want to see you die... I can't handle someone else dying... Please..."
(David) "I'm not dying... I owe Karito that much... I can protect you from this damn city... Just like how he protected all of us... My mom, Karito, Maine, and the others in our crew. I won't allow the same fate on you."
(Lucy) "But you never had to save me... All I ever wanted was for you... was for you to live."
(David) "Like I said before... Don't let my brother's sacrifice be in vain. He saved you... so we could be happy. He cared too much for me to let you die. I bet his answer would be 'I was just doing my job as a big brother'. And Lucy..."
(Lucy) "Hmm..."
(David) "Let's go to the moon... Together..."
(Lucy) Gasped
(David) "...That... Was my brother's last wish for me... I'm sure that's why... he had two tickets in his inventory... to travel to the moon..."
(Lucy) Breaks down "That idiot..."
(David) "He's one hell of a brother..."
As David and Lucy plummeted towards the ground, they were suddenly interrupted by the sound of a speeding elevator, and the sight of Dark Adam Smasher emerging from it, firing his weapon in their direction. With lightning-fast reflexes, David utilized the advanced capabilities of his cyberskeleton to propel himself away from the Arasaka building, skillfully maneuvering towards a nearby storefront adorned with a dazzling array of advertisements. As he deftly dodged incoming fire from Adam, the neon lights and digital displays seemed to blur together into a kaleidoscope of colors, creating a surreal and disorienting experience for the already tense and adrenaline-fueled duo.
...
At the bottom of Arasaka HQ
Taking refuge behind the Batmobile, Falco, and Rebecca braced themselves against the barrage of relentless attackers, engaging in a frenzied battle for survival. With every passing moment, it became increasingly apparent that the odds were stacked against them, as wave after wave of heavily-armed assailants relentlessly advanced upon their position. Despite Falco's skillful piloting and Rebecca's deadly accuracy with her shotgun, the sheer volume of enemy fire was beginning to take its toll on the two mercenaries, and it was clear that they were fast approaching a critical breaking point.
(Rebecca) "These corpopricks ever gonna give it a goddamn rest?!"
(Falco) "NCPDs joined in on the gun. Settle and get comfy."
(Rebecca) "I'm starting to run low on lead..."
As Rebecca's mind raced with thoughts of their overwhelming situation, their focus was suddenly disrupted as David's powerful descent landed him on top of the Batmobile with Lucy cradled in his arms like a precious jewel. The sight was both astonishing and bewildering, as they tried to make sense of the sudden appearance of the pair amidst the chaos of their desperate battle. The graceful landing of David, his cyberskeleton aiding him in his movement, added to the surreal and otherworldly aura of the moment.
(David) "Hey, we made it."
(Rebecca) "Sure took your sweet time, gonkbrain... but why is Lucy here? Isn't she supposed to be with Karito?"
(David) "We can talk about it later." Almost hits Rebecca and he shoots furiously at the wave of enemies "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Looks at Falco "Falco!"
(Falco) "Yeah?"
(David) "I need a favor."
As Lucy was carefully helped into the Batmobile by Rebecca, the exhaustion of their situation weighed heavily upon them both. Rebecca joined her, taking a deep breath and letting out a weary sigh as she leaned against the vehicle. The adrenaline that had fueled their intense battle began to ebb away, leaving them both feeling drained and emotionally spent.
(Rebecca) Groans "No rest at all... Glad you're back safe." Reloads her shotgun and exits the Batmobile after taking a quick rest
(Lucy) "Huh?"
(Rebecca) "For David's sake, I mean. And both of you will answer me on where Karito is after we are done."
(Lucy) Gasp "REBECCA, ABOVE YOU!!"
Rebecca's sharp reflexes kicked in as she swiveled her head in the direction of Lucy's warning. Her eyes caught sight of a colossal black figure rapidly descending on them. Instinctively, she raised her shotgun and unleashed a barrage of shots at the incoming threat, fueled by a fiery rage burning within her. The loud bangs echoed through the air as the shots pierced through the darkness, creating a fierce symphony of sound and fury.
(Rebecca) "I WAS HAVING A MOMENT HERE! FUCK YO-!"
SPLAT!
BOOM!
The deafening silence that followed the crash landing was quickly shattered by the heavy footsteps of Adam Smasher, the giant black figure slowly descending towards the disoriented crew. The dust settled, revealing the horrific sight of Rebecca's lifeless body lying on the ground. In the chaos that ensued, Falco, too consumed by his own rage, launched himself at Adam in a desperate attempt to avenge Rebecca's death. But his efforts were futile, and he was brutally punished for his foolhardy bravery, his arm shattered by a single blow from Adam's massive arm. David, his eyes twitching and glitching in violent anger, watched as yet another loved one was taken from him. With a primal roar, he activated his Sandevistan and launched himself at Adam in a superhuman punch, fueled by a lifetime of pain and loss. But the cyborg was too advanced, too skilled. With effortless ease, he sidestepped David's attack, leaving him to punch the air in frustration.
(David) "You have a Sandevistan?!"
David's movements were quick and calculated, his fists aimed with deadly precision, but Adam's reflexes were just as impressive. With a fluid motion, Adam sidestepped David's punch, evading it with an effortless grace that only a machine augmented with cybernetic enhancements could possess. David gritted his teeth in frustration, his mind racing as he tried to think of a new strategy to take down his powerful adversary. But as he looked into Adam's cold, emotionless eyes, he couldn't help but feel a sense of overwhelming despair. How could he possibly defeat a being that seemed invincible?
(Dark Adam Smasher) "A rudimentary implant."
(David) "I'm the one you're after, ain't I?"
(Dark Adam Smasher) "All the same meat to me. Though, your brother would have interested me."
(David) "Don't you dare speak of him from your mouth, you bastard!!!"
As David gathered himself for another assault, his body already pushed beyond its limits, he was suddenly overcome by a violent fit of coughing, and his mouth filled with a spray of blood. With his strength waning, he struggled to maintain his footing, while Adam looked on with derision, his taunting words dripping with contempt.
(Dark Adam Smasher) "Out of suppressants?"
(David) Cough, cough "BLEFGH!! NGH!!!"
(Dark Adam Smasher) "Right on schedule."
As Lucy hid amidst the rubble, she frantically scrambled to access the controls of Adam's cybernetics, driven by an unyielding desperation to save David. Alas, her efforts were in vain, for the cyborg detected her movements and effortlessly thwarted her attempt with a mere wave of his hand. In an instant, Adam turned his attention to Lucy, and with a swift and calculated move, hacked into her own cybernetics, causing her to crumple to the ground in a helpless heap.
(Lucy) "H-How did you...?"
The deafening roar of the Batmobile's engine pierced through the chaos, as Falco deftly snatched up Lucy from the rubble and securely placed her inside the armored vehicle. The Batmobile's mighty power and agility were on full display, as it plowed through everything in its path with reckless abandon, a desperate bid to outrun the relentless pursuit of Adam Smasher.
(Lucy) "Falco... David's still back there... please. Turn around!"
(Dark Adam Smasher) "None leave the slaughterhouse! Not alive! NGH!"
As the rocket was about to be shot towards them, David's mind raced with a plan. With a flick of his wrist, he activated his gravitational field, causing Adam's body to freeze in midair. It was a risky move, but David knew that he had to draw Adam's attention away from his friends and towards himself. The cyborg's eyes locked onto David, and David could feel the weight of his stare bearing down on him like a physical force.
(David) "Get distracted much?!"
(Dark Adam Smasher) "You..."
Adam raised his massive arm and swung it with brutal force, slamming it against David's right side. The force of the blow was so powerful that it sent David flying across the room and crashing into a wall.
(Dark Adam Smasher) "Who are you..."
David gritted his teeth in pain, trying to stand up, but Adam was already on him, raining down a barrage of punches and kicks. With each hit, David's cybernetics began to fail, circuits sparking and whirring as they tried to keep up with the damage.
(Dark Adam Smasher) "To Challenge me?!"
Adam lifted David by the throat, his grip tightening as he looked into David's eyes with cold, merciless intent. With a swift move, he tore David's left arm off with ease, tossing it aside like it was nothing.
(Dark Adam Smasher) "You can't even stand without your antigrav crutches. You think you're special 'cause you're scrappy?"
David screamed in agony as he clutched his stump, his body writhing in pain. Adam continued his assault, dismantling David's cybernetics piece by piece until only his torso remained.
(Dark Adam Smasher) "DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH!"
...
As Falco steered the Batmobile towards the nearest exit, the sound of a deafening explosion filled the air, causing Lucy's heart to race with panic. Desperate to go back and help, she pleaded with Falco to change course and confront the chaos head-on.
(Lucy) "Falco! Turn back!!"
(Falco) "No can do."
As the Batmobile roared towards the exit, Falco's eyes darted back and forth, scanning for any potential danger. The toll stop was fast approaching, and with a burst of adrenaline, Falco floored the accelerator, causing the car to lurch forward with a violent jolt. The toll booth shattered into pieces under the weight of the speeding car as it smashed through, leaving a trail of debris in its wake. The wind whipped through their hair as they raced out of the city, the lights of Night City fading into the distance behind them.
(Falco) "It's all part of his plan."
(Lucy) "...Huh?"
(Falco) "Karito's shared inventory system. He had laid out an entire plan inside of it. So don't worry... The plot twist is about to commence."
...
Adam looked down at David's broken form, satisfied with his work.
(Dark Adam Smasher) "I had some fun, after all. You know, you could prove an interesting construct."
(David) Scoffs "...Whatever, choom... Like I give a shit."
(Dakr Adam Smasher) "Oh well, goodbye... David."
(David) "Who the fuck said that it was over?"
"Notification: Player Rebecca has used the "Totem Of Undying"."
(Rebecca) "Hey, asshole!"
(Dark Adam Smasher) "Huh?!"
(Rebecca) "EAT THIS! AI SUMMON PROTO CANNON!"
"Notification: Marvel Vs Capcom's "Proto Cannon" is now being used. Ultimate Ready."
(Rebecca) "FUCK YOU!!!"
Adam adeptly summoned the power of darkness, skillfully constructing an impenetrable shield that effectively absorbed the incoming plasma beam directed towards him. However, before he could launch a counter-attack, Rebecca's proto cannon fired with deadly accuracy, propelling Adam through a barrage of walls and unleashing a cataclysmic explosion that reverberated throughout the entire Night City plaza. The ground itself melted under the force of the impact, and a path of destruction stretched in the direction of Adam's launch. With urgency etched on her face, Rebecca quickly raced towards the critically injured David, her heart filled with worry and concern.
(Rebecca) "David, I think it's time to use Karito's suit."
(David) "I...Know..."
(Rebecca) "I'm going to use my fast travel to be with Falco and Lucy. Remember that these fast travels are a one-time use so don't fuck it up. "
(David) "I know... Ugh..."
(Rebecca) "And do me a favor."
(David) "What...?"
(Rebecca) "Kick his ass, will you?"
(David) "Trust me... That's the plan."
(Rebecca) "Good. AI, fast travel to the Batmobile!"
"Notification: Teleporting, Player Rebecca to the Batmobile..."
(Rebecca) "Good luck..." Disappears
David closed his eyes, and the room grew silent. Suddenly, a loud thud echoed through the room, and he gasped as he felt something surge through his veins. His body began to glow with an otherworldly aura, and the darkness within the room seemed to be drawn towards him.
The sound of tearing fabric echoed through the room as David's clothes began to shred apart. Red tendrils of symbiotic matter began to emerge from his skin, coalescing into a grotesque web of muscles and sinew. With a final roar, the transformation was complete, and David's body was no longer his own.
The Toxin symbiote had taken over, and it was a sight to behold. The red and black suit was rippling with power, and it seemed to pulsate with an almost living energy. David's eyes blazed with a fierce light, and his hands flexed, crackling with raw power.
The symbiote had granted him incredible strength and speed, and David knew that he was now more than capable of taking down Adam. With a feral grin, he bounded towards the destruction, ready to take on whatever came his way.
(Symbiote David) "I may have been broken, but now I am made whole with the power of the symbiote. Let's see if you can handle me now, Adam."
Symbiote David advanced towards Adam with measured steps, his mind and body now one with the powerful symbiote that had latched onto him. The once-injured man was now brimming with newfound strength, his eyes ablaze with an unrelenting determination to avenge his fallen comrades and complete his assigned mission. With his brother's symbiotic Spider-Man suit now adorning him, he was an unstoppable force, an avenging angel sent to exact justice upon the monstrous Adam Smasher. Nothing could stand in his way, for he had a singular focus that would not be swayed until his task was complete.
David's gaze hardened as he detected a heat signature rapidly advancing towards him, his senses honed by the symbiote's enhanced abilities. In a display of lightning-fast reflexes, he swiftly side-stepped the incoming missile, snatching it out of the air with ease. However, his triumph was short-lived as a surge of explosive energy erupted from the missile, the sheer force of which sent David hurtling backwards into a nearby wall.
The impact was bone-jarring, and David's body crumpled as the wall cracked under the force of the collision. Adam sneered, his powerful fists clenched as he strode forward with purpose. The cyborg's enhancements and dark power made him a formidable opponent, but David's determination was unyielding, fueled by the symbiote's unquenchable hunger for vengeance.
(Dark Adam Smasher) "Let's get serious now."
(Symbiote David) "I couldn't agree more."
The fight between David and Adam intensified as both combatants engaged their enhanced abilities, giving rise to a flurry of explosive attacks and swift dodges. Adam, utilizing his Sandevistan, sought to track down David, who employed a combination of his own Sandevistan and hyper sense to evade Adam's gaze. With a seamless motion, David vanished from sight, leaving Adam perplexed and disoriented.
In the blink of an eye, David reappeared, his Toxin symbiote-infused fist connecting with Adam's cheek in a venomous punch that sent the cyborg hurtling through the rubble. Adam recovered quickly, retaliating with a relentless storm of bullets and missiles. However, David's memory of his brother's web-swinging and lateral repulsions enabled him to dodge the incoming projectiles with unparalleled agility, evading death with each passing second.
(Dark Adam Smasher) "Stand still!"
(Symbiote David) "Fuck no. You must be tripping if you think I'm gonna do that, you gonk!"
As Adam embraced the full extent of his Dark Powers, his eyes flickered with an ominous red glow, his cybernetics crackled with otherworldly strength, and his movements became unnaturally swift and erratic. His form was now shrouded in a dark aura that crackled with energy and seemed to warp the very air around him. It was clear that this was no longer the same cyborg that David had faced before, but a fearsome force of destruction that had tapped into powers beyond human comprehension.
With a menacing glint in his eyes, David unleashed a rapid-fire volley of web shots towards Adam, each one hitting with a satisfying thwip. However, the cyborg was not one to be underestimated. He raised his gun, and a pulsating, dark energy began to emanate from its barrel. David's heart sank as he realized the true extent of Adam's newfound powers. In a split second, Adam fired, unleashing a blast of dark energy that tore through the air with a deafening roar. David's instincts kicked in, and he swiftly constructed a shield made of interlocking webs. Despite its strength, the shield buckled under the sheer force of the attack, and David was sent hurtling backwards, crashing through multiple walls and finally slamming into the side of a building with bone-shattering force.
With lightning-fast movements, Adam materialized a blade from his arm, catching David off guard. But David's symbiote-enhanced reflexes kicked in just in time, allowing him to transform his own arm into a sword and parry the incoming attack. The clash of the two blades created a deafening sound that shattered the windows of nearby buildings, sending shards of glass raining down on the combatants. The force of the collision reverberated through the streets, shaking the ground beneath their feet and sending shockwaves rippling outwards. Despite the intense pressure and strain of the clash, David held his ground, his eyes locked onto Adam with unwavering determination.
With lethal determination, David locked eyes with Adam as they stood on the battlefield, the symbiote coursing through his veins. He launched forward, his arm extended towards the cyborg's liver and unleashed a torrent of symbiote-enhanced venomous energy that sent Adam hurtling towards a nearby shop with explosive force.
But even as David moved in to finish the job, his senses tingled with a warning. In a split second, he leaped back with incredible agility, dodging a hail of incoming missiles that detonated in a fiery explosion behind him. His attention refocused on Adam, he prepared for the next phase of their brutal battle.
David and Adam both charged at each other with incredible speed, their attacks, and movements a blur. Adam was using his military training to his advantage, while David's symbiotic abilities were enhancing his already impressive physical abilities.
David's arm transformed into a blade, which he swung at Adam with deadly precision. Adam responded by blocking the attack with his cybernetic arm. However, David's symbiote was not to be underestimated as he was able to damage the advanced cybernetic with its sharpness.
The two fighters engaged in close-quarters combat, exchanging punches, kicks, and slashes. Adam was using his enhanced strength to overpower David, but David's symbiote was making him incredibly agile and hard to hit. David's blade arm was making quick work of Adam's cybernetic enhancements, slicing through wires and circuits with ease.
Adam's eyes glowed with ominous darkness as he utilized his Dark Powers, forming a shield around him that David couldn't penetrate. David responded by channeling his symbiote's power, creating tendrils that burst through the shield and grabbed onto Adam, yanking him towards him and leaving him open for a devastating blow.
The two fighters continued to exchange blows, neither giving an inch. It was clear that this was a battle of equals, and it could go either way. But bad luck struck David in the worst possible way.
"Notification: The host and symbiote are not compatible. Strength is deteriorating..."
As the notification blared in his ear, David's heart sank with disappointment as he realized that he was incompatible with his brother's symbiote. His frustration was interrupted by the sudden appearance of Adam, who seized the moment of vulnerability and thrust his blade into David's gut, eliciting a guttural cry of agony from the symbiotic hero.
But David was not one to be defeated so easily. With a fierce determination burning in his eyes, he unleashed a venomous strike that sent Adam hurtling backwards into a parked car, the impact denting the metal frame and shattering the glass.
The symbiote's regenerative properties slowly mended David's wound, but the pain lingered, reminding him of the deadly nature of their adversary. Adam, a veteran soldier augmented with cybernetic enhancements, had an arsenal of lethal weapons at his disposal, and David knew he couldn't afford to let his guard down.
The roar of missiles shattered the air as Adam unleashed a barrage of explosive projectiles towards David, who darted and weaved with lightning-fast reflexes to avoid the deadly ordnance. But just as he thought he had evaded Adam's assault, the cyborg grabbed him by the neck and slammed him to the ground with earth-shaking force. The two combatants plummeted through the floors of the building, tearing through walls and leaving destruction in their wake.
As they continued to exchange brutal blows, Adam began to charge his gun with dark energy. David, sensing the danger, swiftly activated his lateral repulsion and tried to evade the oncoming attack. However, Adam was one step ahead of him, and in a blink of an eye, he appeared behind David, point-blank range. With a deafening roar, the weapon discharged, blasting David to the ground and creating a devastating mushroom cloud that engulfed the Center of Night City, the force of the explosion shattering windows and causing buildings to shake.
As the dust began to settle, a hush fell over the Night City plaza, a solemn stillness that belied the fierce battle that had just raged. The destruction left in its wake was immense, with debris scattered far and wide, and the once gleaming towers of the city now reduced to rubble.
In the midst of the chaos stood Adam, his dark powers surging around him like a tempest, his eyes burning with a fierce intensity as he looked down upon his fallen foe. David lay before him, battered and bruised, his once formidable symbiote now sputtering and weak.
(Dark Adam Smasher) His deep, menacing voice boomed through the plaza, addressing the battered and wounded Symbiote David. "You have indeed surpassed my initial expectations, my boy. Who could have foreseen such an arduous battle against a being of darkness such as myself?" he remarked, a twisted amusement lacing his tone.
(Symbiote David) He gritted his teeth, pain etched onto his face, his body barely holding up. "Ugh... Damn you..." he growled, trying to stand despite the pain and the exhaustion.
(Dark Adam Smasher) The dark cyborg, towering over him, continued with a chilling calmness. "I sense an unwavering resolve in those young eyes of yours, a trait that would have made you a great warrior, David, had the circumstances been different. But alas, fate has brought us to this moment, and you must meet your end," he declared, raising his arm to deliver the final blow.
As Adam lunged forward, his arm outstretched to deliver a fatal blow to David's chest, an unexpected force seized his arm from behind with a grip that sent shivers down his spine. Adam turned in shock, only to be left dumbfounded by what he saw. It was indescribable like a distorted sketch of an unfinished character come to life, but with an otherworldly quality that defied comprehension.
The first thought that crossed Adam's mind was that of a "sketch," as if this unknown entity had stepped out of a half-finished drawing. But as Adam tried to process what was happening, he noticed a hairline crack that seemed to hang in mid-air, revealing a dark void within. It was as if this entity had torn open a small rift in the fabric of reality itself.
With a surge of realization, Adam understood that he was facing something beyond his realm of understanding, something that had breached the boundaries of this dimension. Desperate, he attempted to backhand the faceless, formless being that held his arm, but it was futile. In a swift and fluid motion, the entity plunged Adam's entire arm into his own chest, hoisting him into the air with an eerie grace. The pain was excruciating, and Adam was left dangling, suspended in the air, his mind reeling as he grappled with the sheer impossibility of the situation. This was no ordinary fight; it was a battle against an enigmatic and unfathomable force that had ruptured the very fabric of reality itself. The outcome was uncertain, and Adam's fate hung precariously in the balance. The scene was a surreal and harrowing spectacle that left Adam utterly bewildered and overwhelmed. His every instinct screamed for him to break free from the entity's grip, but it seemed to possess a power that defied all logic and reason.

Without a moment of hesitation, David's unwavering resolve allowed him to heed the mysterious entity's voice, as if he were familiar with such encounters. In a fluid and practiced motion, the symbiote that enveloped David's arm transformed into a razor-sharp blade, slicing the cyborg in two with deadly precision. The "Sketch," as if exerting its dominance over reality itself, then flung the cyborg's dismembered body into the air with a dismissive gesture.
With a surge of power, the "Sketch" charged a venom blast, a manifestation of its unfathomable abilities, and unleashed it upon Adam's separated form. The venom blast struck with devastating force, reducing Adam's body to mere ash in a blaze of otherworldly energy. It was a resounding victory for the heroes, achieved through an amalgamation of David's prowess and the "Sketch's" enigmatic powers.
As the dust settled and the echoes of the battle faded, David's eyes widened in awe as he beheld the "Sketch" in action. The enigmatic entity's fingers danced through the air with swift precision, as if manipulating a virtual interface only visible to him. David could hardly believe his eyes as he witnessed the "Sketch" actually animating and designing himself back into the anime world of Cyberpunk Edgerunners.
Minutes passed like fleeting moments as the "Sketch" worked tirelessly, his form taking shape and transforming before David's very eyes. The entity's movements were fluid and artistic, as if he was a master craftsman meticulously carving his own destiny. And then, it was done. The "Sketch" stood before them, now adorned in the iconic suit of Spider-Man's Miles Morales, a dazzling display of technological prowess and artistic ingenuity.
But what truly left David in awe was the face that was revealed as the "Sketch" removed his mask. It was his older brother, Karito, whom he had believed lost forever in another dimension. David's eyes brimmed with tears as he rushed towards his brother, his heart swelling with relief and joy. They embraced tightly, a reunion that seemed nothing short of a miracle. Words were unnecessary at that moment, as their embrace conveyed the depth of their emotions, a bond that transcended time and space.
(Spider-Man) "Told you I would see you on the other side." Smirk
(David) Sniff "Good to have you back, brother."
The symbiote slithered and shifted with fluidity as it merged seamlessly with Karito's form, reshaping itself into his iconic red and blue symbiote suit. The transformation was a mesmerizing display of symbiotic mastery, as the ebony tendrils coiled and weaved, melding with Karito's physique in a symbiotic embrace. The resulting suit was a perfect replication of Karito's original form, a striking combination of vibrant red and deep blue hues that accentuated his formidable presence. The symbiote's adaptation was flawless, fitting Karito like a second skin, a living embodiment of the symbiotic bond between host and entity. Karito stood, now fully clad in his symbiote suit, radiating an aura of power and determination.
(Toxin) "Man... What a weird trip..."
(Spider-Man) "I know right? Who would've thought that the time in the two dimensions was that different?"
(David) "Who are you talking to?"
(Spider-Man) "My suit."
(David) "It can talk?!"
(Spider-Man) "Of course it can, it's sentient for a reason dumbass."
(David) "Hey!"
(Spider-Man) "It also looks like Toxin also fixed your body. Though you're naked right now." Summons a pair of pants and shirts "Cover yourself, please. I had enough of whipping your ass when you were a baby."
(David) Snatches the clothes "Shut up!"
(Toxin) "Anyways, as I was saying. "The Night Comes For Us" timezone might be slower than the Cyberpunk 2077's. Because When you tried to look for me to heal your wounds I was already gone and was being used by David but then time and space started getting quite fucked up. When you tried to "fix" the dimension you actually were traveling between past, present, and future because the dimension was being destroyed so time lost its meaning. In other words, you experienced what is called a "temporal dissociation". This could manifest as being stuck in a different time period, experiencing time non-linearly, or being disconnected from the chronological timeline altogether."
(Spider-Man) "What a fucking experience that was... It was hell..."
(David) "Wanna fast travel towards the others?"
(Spider-Man) "Yes, please. I want to sleep."
David's laughter echoed through the air as he affectionately placed a hand on his older brother's shoulder, acknowledging Karito's exhaustion. The two brothers then vanished from sight in a burst of energy, reappearing in Falco's Batmobile, much to the surprise of the three companions who had been anxiously waiting. Tears glistened in Lucy's eyes as she beheld the Martinez brothers, alive and well. She embraced David tightly, expressing her relief and gratitude in a flurry of words. Meanwhile, Rebecca's emotions overflowed as she tackled Karito to the floor, showering him with kisses, unable to contain her affection and the anxiety she had felt during the perilous mission. Falco, observing the scene with a fond smile, glanced skyward, releasing an audible sigh, perhaps a mixture of relief and sentiment.
(Karito) "AHHH! Rebecca! STAP!"
(Rebecca) "Hell no! I'm claiming before you disappear like that again!"
(Karito) "HAAAAA! SEIZE THY HERESY!"
(Rebecca) "No!"
(Karito) Incoherent screaming
(David) "Is it me or did Rebecca get taller?"
(Falco) "Whatever that statue was probably changed her appearance slightly."
(Lucy) "I don't know about you guys but I'm going to sleep for a week."
(Falco) "Agreed. So much happened in a single night, it was crazy."
(Karito) Rebbeca was clinging to him like a Koala "I'm hungry..."
(David) "Of course you are. Let's eat something then. We deserve that much."
(Rebecca) "Sounds like a plan! Let's go!"
(Karito) "I have no idea how you have so much energy..."
(Rebecca) "Because of the statue, duh! I was revived."
(Karito) "Yeah, played with Death myself a few times. I hate it."
(Falco) "Well, let's go and have some food before hittin' the hay."
(Karito) Yawns "Alright, let's go, crew!"
(Everyone) "Yes, sir!"
With a confident smirk, Falco brought the Batmobile to life, the powerful engine roaring as the group piled in. Night City loomed ahead, a dark and mysterious metropolis that seemed to hold both promise and peril. As they sped through the neon-lit streets, the group engaged in light banter, discussing various restaurant options to celebrate their successful mission. However, their indecision persisted until Karito, a seasoned foodie with a penchant for culinary adventures, took charge. He settled into the passenger seat of the Batmobile and deftly programmed a holographic GPS for Falco to follow, his eyes closing with a sense of satisfaction.
As the Batmobile raced through the city streets, Karito's contented look vanished, replaced by a furrowed brow and a sense of foreboding. He closed his eyes, trying to recall what was missing, but the sensation of dread gnawed at him. His grip on the seat tightened, and he couldn't shake off the feeling of impending doom.
The once familiar cityscape of Night City now seemed unfamiliar and menacing. Karito couldn't help but feel a sense of unease as the Batmobile sped through the neon-lit streets. His thoughts were consumed by the nagging feeling that someone important was missing, and it haunted him, like a dark cloud looming over his heart.
(Dark Green Goblin) "You think this is over?"
(David) "Huh?"
