After being treated by Yoshino, Yumiko was invited to drink tea with her while they talked
And for the best or worst, Shikamaru didn't show his face as he left the house with his friend who protested

After all, with how delicious the Wagashi is she can't complain
After finishing her tea and talking, she bid goodbye to Yoshino and went to training in one of the training grounds
She didn't do anything special, just trained her body and spared with her clones
When finishing her training, she went to the library before creating shadow clones who did their usual job
While checking out the books in there, a certain book took her attention, it was about summoning
'hmm I never thought to have a summon... it would be a great help for me. Even if it's weak, it would most likely have another thing they can help me with.
Anyway, all I need is a summoning contract which... I certainly don't have any doubt will have any time soon with my orphan status

Getting up, Yumiko left the library and headed to her apartment
After another two hours, memories of her shadow clones rushed to her head, she started writing the symbols and kanji on her copybook as usual when suddenly her doorbell rang
Looking up, she directed her sight to the door before expanding her chakra field
The person behind the door felt her chakra right away and smirked
'Genma-sensei? What is he doing here so late?' Getting up, she went to the door and opened it only to see her sensei smiling widely
"Yumiko-chan! How are you doing? Did you miss your favorite sensei?" Patting her head harshly he said brightly
Before she could answer, Genma quickly entered her house and started inspecting it
'So true to her words... she is learning Fuinjutsu' He thought while looking at her rather small table full of scrolls and papers 'That's interesting'
"Why look at that, a complete mess! I didn't think you were this type of person Yumiko" He said with fake disapproval, shaking his head in dissatisfaction
Narrowing her eyes at him, Yumiko suddenly sighed while smiling faintly at him
"Sensei, it's nice to see you too. Sorry I wasn't able to pay you a visit with how much training I've been doing"
Genma stared at her, noticing the dark circle under her eyes
"So any news about the Gunbai?"
"Straight to the point hah? that hurt my feelings Yumiko-chan you know?" Rolling her eyes at his antics, Yumiko crossed her arms impatiently
"Well yeah! Why else would you come here otherwise? You either come to disturb my peace or just vanish for a long time.
I don't blame you though, giving your job as the Hokage bodyguard it must be difficult" She smirked at him while raising her eyebrows in victory
Sightings, he said with a small smile "It seems like you've grown much this period my dear student" He chuckled in amazement
'So dramatic'
"Kakashi told me about your new jutsu.
I know it would take you some time to create it. After all, creating a jutsu isn't easy by any means, so be patient and do-"
"Sensei, I've already mastered it" She said with visible annoyance, she was NOT ready to hear a lecture from that man
'It won't hurt telling him since I showed it to Shikamaru and Choji' She thought

His eyes widen in shock at the news. This girl never fails to surprise him, that's why he can't find it in himself to stop being amused while he is with her
"... You did?" He asked stupified
"Yes, very much" She sighed before heading to the kitchen
'It seems like it is time to finally use you...' She looked at her Mochi package in her fridge sadly
Getting back to the living room with a plate full of Mochi and a cup of water (She really don't know what to give him), she found Genma looking at her seriously
"I very much underestimate your capabilities Yumiko, you are a prodigy" He said with a smile
Truthfully, Yumiko's jutsu wasn't that complicated; she just needed to learn the Senju fist style as the base of it and be creative. Also, she had Kakashi help too.
And anyone who's an expert in winds jutsus like Danzo can copy her jutsu easily
"Thanks... I guess?"
Before an awkward silence can start, she pushed her copybook and the scrolls away for some space, then put the mochi plate and cup of water there
"It seems like you stopped doing missions for a long time, others might think you are afraid or something" He gave her a pointed look before sitting in the chair
"Well I am busy getting stronger sensei, I can't slack off . Also, I could care less about the others" He chuckled at her response, finding it funny
"Missions make you stronger too and also give you experience"
After a long silence, she finally answered him "... I will start doing missions soon"
"Oh I just remembered, here is your Gunbai!"
He took a scroll out of his pocket and gave it to her
Yumiko opened the scroll only for a puff of smoke followed by a big Gunbai landed in her hands
'It is bigger than the last one and similar to it' Smiling she thanked her sensei "I really appreciate your efforts to bring me a new Gunbai sensei!"
"Anytime my dear student"
