The Journey of the Pillars of Creation Nebula

Chapter 7: Last Act - The Poem of the Curtain Call

When Artmory arrived at the top of the Pillars of Creation, he saw Stera standing in that void. Her figure appeared particularly lonely and resolute against the backdrop of the nebula. She turned and waved to Artmory, saying, "Artmory, you're here. I'm sorry I didn't inform you of the specific performance time in advance. I only noticed not long ago that the energy I have left is not much. I want to leave the most dazzling performance for the universe before I leave. So, I temporarily planned this performance. Um... I haven't rehearsed it, and if I don't perform well, don't laugh at me!"

Stera then took a deep breath and said, "So, Artmory, please be my only witness and enjoy this final performance."

Artmory stepped forward and stood at the very top of the Pillars of Creation. Stera's body began to emit an unprecedented light, and her connection with the Pillars of Creation seemed to reach its peak. The energy in the nebula obeyed her call, beginning to converge crazily and forming magnificent patterns. Stera's performance began. She was like a dancer in the universe, with stars as companions and the nebula as the stage, dancing the final dance. With each wave of her hand, a new star was born in the nebula, shining brightly like fireworks and illuminating the entire universe. In this performance, Stera used her connection with the Pillars of Creation to guide the flow of gas and dust, creating touching paintings. Under her direction, the dust and gas in the nebula began to gather, forming new star embryos. These embryos, guided by Stera, gradually grew and eventually burst into dazzling new stars, adding new light to the universe.

As the performance progressed, Stera's strength seemed to be continuously released, and the process of star birth within the Pillars of Creation was accelerated. New stars lit up one after another, forming a brilliant chain of stars. These new stars, like Stera's final signature in the universe, each carried her story and emotions. Under her guidance, the gas and dust in the nebula were shaped into various forms, some like ethereal ribbons and some like dazzling spotlights.

As the performance reached its climax, Stera's body began to become transparent, and her connection with the Pillars of Creation seemed to be approaching its limit.

Finally, the performance reached its grand finale.

Stera floated over to Artmory and said with a smile, "What do you think? My performance was pretty good, right?"

"This is the most gorgeous performance I have ever seen in history," Artmory replied, then looked at Stera's dissipating body.

Stera said, "Artmory, even though I dissipate, the story of the Pillars of Creation will not end. It will be reborn in a new form in a corner of the universe."

Stera's voice grew weaker and weaker, but her words were as eternal as the stars.

Artmory responded with a smile, never taking his eyes off Stera. He watched Stera until her figure completely dissipated. The Pillars of Creation also disappeared, and the place where it was originally located became empty, as if nothing had ever existed there.

Artmory's face showed no expression, but a tear quietly fell from the corner of his eye. He spoke alone, "Parting is an inevitable part of the journey. But even after experiencing so many 'partings,' I still can't fully accept it..."

"Yes, after the original Pillars of Creation dissipate, the universe will create new replacements, but... the existence there is no longer you. Haha, but... that's fine too. At least... you can finally be free, no longer having to live alone in such a place. Right?"

Then, Artmory sighed, turned around, and left that place. His heart thought about the destination of the next journey, muttering, "This journey is over, so where to next..."

His figure gradually disappeared into the depths of the nebula, leaving only the void. The universe continues to operate, and Artmory's journey continues as well. He will carry Stera's story, shuttling through time and space, exploring more stories.

"Worldview"

[Pillars of Creation]

This is a special "structure". It does not have the "substance" that people perceive, but is composed of gas and dust, so it cannot be called a planet. It is about 7000 light-years away from the solar system we are familiar with. Here, many stars are produced every moment to light up the universe.

[!] Over time, the Pillars of Creation seem to gradually fade.

[!] Eventually, when the energy of the Pillars of Creation is completely exhausted, it and all traces of its existence will dissipate from this universe. To see it again, one would have to wait for the birth of the "new Pillars of Creation". But will the "new Pillars of Creation" be the same as the original?

"Character Introduction"

[Artmory (Name meaning: Depict, Memory) ]

Introduction: A traveler through time and space, embarking on boundless journeys across the universe. Enjoys meeting new friends, tasting various foods they have never eaten before (but not this time), and likes to record the stories that happen during their travels. Willing to help others on their journey but will not excessively interfere with the outcome. "What will happen on this journey?"

[!] Sometimes, not every story will have a happy ending.

[Stellar Creator [Nickname: Stera] (Name meaning: A creature that creates the new stars) ]

Introduction: A wise life form living in the Pillars of Creation, usually responsible for creating new stars. She enjoys looking at the images in a rather worn-out novel (which she found in the wreckage of a spaceship that was hit by a star near the Pillars of Creation and exploded). She also likes to go to the top of the Pillars of Creation to enjoy the entire universe.

[!] "When performing, one should bring out all their energy and passion, so as not to leave any regrets when the curtain falls. That's what you and that novel have told me, isn't it?"
