Chapter 72: Arthur Treadway - Special Chapter 07
In the village surrounded by the hills, Arthur entered his house after a tiring day, his sweat descending through his fit but well-designed physique.
Mrs. Han, with the look of an elder, the curved back and gray hair that time has given, cleaned her entrance when she saw Arthur open the gate of his house. – Young man, can you stop by to help Kim carry somethings to the barn? – with a tired voice and a low posture as she leaned on the broom.
Arthur, entering his house, waved to the lady with a smile on his face. – All right, Mrs. Han!
Looking at him with a smile on her face. – You're so sweet... Thank you, my son! – looking at him as he enters.
In the hallway of Arthur's residence. He took off his sandals with a sigh of relief. "At last, peace... Not peace, but quietness! Yes! My life slowed down, I could well live here forever... With the money I took from the island, I was only able to buy this house, which is quite big and comfortable one, that's why they always find it strange that I live in a house like this and am a peasant..." He sighed, as he walked to the living room of his residence.
"But what's the point of having a big house if I don't have the money to maintain it..." looking at the walls.
In the living room, he does not find a sofa, he sits on the cushions, sighs once more time. "It's true, these houses here on the Asu continent don't have a sofa, this is great..." as he snuggled up on the cushions.
"Then I have to help Mrs. Han, these people here are very friendly, they are special, but they work too hard..." he closed his eyes, trying to find sleep.
…
Hearing someone knocking at the door, he raised his head and shouted, veins appeared in his neck. – GO AWAY, MERLIN!!
At the door, with a basket full of bowls of food and a smile on her face. – It's for your own good... – with her hand on the door.
…
Sitting on a cushion, at the foot of a table, with a yellow long-sleeved kimono, and a veil that makes her facial expressions illegible. Chewing on the grapes as her calm gaze was fixed on Arthur. – Aren't you going to eat...?
Sitting at the table, he looked at Merlin with a face of disgust. – What are you doing here?!
Eating, she let out a laughter. – Do you think I don't know that you don't even have money to buy something to eat?
Looking at the girl with a face devoid of emotion and reaction. "I left the island with a ruby coin, and I've got a diamond one left, what do you mean I don't have money? I'm one of the richest people here, I just work to not attract attention and because I want that butler to think I've become a saint and then kill him!" thinking, he let out a pleasant smile. – You don't know what you're talking about...
Seeing Arthur's smile, blushed. "I've never seen that smile, it's because of me...?" illuded herself. – Hmm, it's true... How can a teenage peasant just out of prison buy such a house? What's the secret?
He looked at her and the smile disappeared. – I shouldn't have saved you that day! You speak too much! – puts a piece of meat in her mouth.
Blushing, smiled. –That was the best day of our lives, the day we fell in love...
His eyebrows twitched, and the corner of his upper lip lifted revealing an authentic disagreement with those words. – What?! Now that's enough! Out of my house, and don't come back!
Because of the veil, only the sound of her laughter was heard. – I'm kidding, calm down. But it cannot be denied that that day was special for us....
…
A while ago, Arthur was passing through a forest near Mount Everest, when he heard screams, screams that indicated that there was a fight happening nearby.
"Hmmm?! What is that? Now that my core is sealed, I can't use my inner Qi, damn Butler!" he mused as he hid in the bushes.
Took his head out of the bushes and saw elven soldiers in the same uniform fighting each other and he noticed that some soldiers were around a carriage, protecting it "It seems to be a kidnapping attempt, but I bet it's more like an assassination... According to the screams there must be a princess inside the carriage, there are only five men, I can handle it..." analyzing the situation and every movement of those present in the situation.
Minutes later...
Lying on the ground, with minor wounds on his face. "Nop, I can't handle it..." Sighed.
Trying to pierce Arthur's chest. – Die you insect!
Arthur, narrowly dodged and took his grandmother's broken sword from its scabbard, and using the Amazon Art of War, crouched, dodging the enemy and seeing his stomach open, slayed using the broken sword. Tired, wiped away his sweat. "Fighting is much harder now..."
Two soldiers with their swords in hand, prepared to attack Arthur who was breathing heavily and covered in sweat. – You're impressive, you don't have a core, yet you can kill a Proficient?! – spoke the language of the elves as they surrounded him.
Seeing the two coming towards him, he swallowed saliva. "Do I have to save this princess? Can't I just run away? Anyway, if I die, I died..." decided in his mind.
In Arthur's mind, Alfred's voice. "Young master, just use the Amazon art! They are proficient, but they have no significant martial training!"
The two got close to Arthur, the first tried to cut his back with his sword and the other tried to pierce Arthur with a spear.
Trying to dodge, he was almost hit by the former's sword but only a wound near the eye appears. Looking at them, he holds his sword firmly, at an impressive speed he appears on the back of the first and making several cuts, but the second didn't let him breathe. The second approached, and Arthur divided his spear in half and pierced his stomach with his broken sword. "That was close, I almost lost my eye..." He thought, taking a deep breath.
Covered in sweat and fatigue, he felt Alfred regenerate his wounds, but when he raised his head, he saw another soldier emerge. "Why am I so tired?! It doesn't even seem that I've already defeated stronger and more numerous enemies in less time..." looking at the soldier with his hands on his knees, he stood up. – Where did you come from?!
Pointing the sword in the direction of the soldier. – Let's go! I don't have all day!
The soldier advanced, without a weapon, only with a fist prepared to hit Arthur's face. Arthur swerved but noticed that another soldier was trying to get into the carriage while he was busy. "He might want to use the person inside as a hostage...!" he thought as he threw his sword at that soldier's head.
– You bastard! I don't like to be ignored! – the hilt of the broken sword hits the back of the elf's head, and he falls unconscious on the ground.
The unarmed soldier behind Arthur clenched his fists once more, used the absolute substitution method to increase his speed and strength using his inner Qi, landed a punch squarely on Arthur's face. – Ignorant human! – he exclaimed in the language of the Elves.
The punch throwed him against a tree and hitting his head, almost lost consciousness, but he shook his head and laughed. "At last, is this the feeling of almost being knocked out? It hurts too much..." he reflected as he sat on the ground and felt an absurd headache. – Is that all you can do, ugly pointed ear creature?! – sitting, he laughed.
The soldier grunted and advanced towards him.
He took a sword at his side and rolled his body away from the soldier's reach. – You shameless animal! Don't you know that attacking a wounded enemy is forbidden?!
With his fist caught in the opening he created in the tree, he tried to get his hand out of the tree.
Arthur, laughing. – You chose a bad moment and a bad opponent to make this kind of joke! – he cut off the soldier's trapped arm.
The soldier, with his blood gushing, knelt while holding his wound. – AHHHHHHH!!!! – his agonizing scream reflected the pain of losing his arm.
Looking at him with an evil smile. – Are you on your knees already? I haven't even started yet... – he crouched, facing the soldier.
