The Licentious Cultivator

Lu Zheng stood in a large open space and facing him was Shu Jun. Cao Tu Feng sat mid-air nonchalantly as the words left his lips.

"Start"

Shu Jun let out a sneer as his body gave off an azure glow. Bright Qi flowed out of his palms before condensing into a pale moon-like crescent.

"Die" The crescent cut through the air towards Lu Zheng as it emitted an ear-piercing sound.

"Shrrr"

Lu Zheng could sense the sharpness of the crescent and knew that even with his tempered body, he would be easily cut.

"Brother Jun is so cruel, even though he is one tier above that guy, he is using one of his strongest techniques from the get-go" Shu Teng, a mild-faced female commented.

"Hmph! What's cruel about that? The guy should blame himself for trying to fight Shu Jun" Shu Kai said coldly.

"It's just… the cut would damage the guy's handsome face" Shu Teng blurted out shamelessly.

The crescent moved towards Lu Zheng whose body began to emit faint wisps of flames.

At once, a blazing ball of flames struck the crescent, destroying it completely.

"You destroyed that?" Shu Jun was surprised to see Lu Zheng easily negate his technique.

With a snort, seven similar crescents formed around Shu Jun before descending towards Lu Zheng.

"I don't have time for this" Lu Zheng snorted as his body disappeared from where he stood. The next moment, he was right in front of Shu Jun.

"So fast!" Danger bells rang in Shu Jun's mind as he was about to blast his Qi at Lu Zheng but before he could even act, Lu Zheng's fist struck him squarely on the chin.

"Gah!" Shu Jun let out a mouthful of blood as his body crossed many metres before hitting the ground with a loud thud. He immediately lost his consciousness.

"Shu Jun!" Shu Kai exclaimed in shock as he gave Lu Zheng a bewildered look. At once, he ran towards Shu Jun's unconscious body to wake him up.

"So strong" Shu Teng covered her mouth in surprise as she ogled Lu Zheng.

"I won" Lu Zheng said to Cao Tu Feng. "Can I join them now?"

"Yes, yes" Cao Tu Feng said lazily. He couldn't care less about the unconscious Shu Jun and immediately tore open a spatial portal leading back to Juanshei Sect.

"I am sorry" Shu Jun clasped his palms before Lu Zheng when they were outside Cao Tu Feng's abode. "I underestimated you"

Lu Zheng gave Shu Jun a look and felt like he had misunderstood the latter. Smiling, Lu Zheng replied: "I understand. You wanted to know my battle strength and now you know"

Shu Kai gave Lu Zheng a weird look: "Don't get cocky. Shu Jun isn't even among the top five here in battle strength"

Shu Jun scratched his head in embarrassment and changed the topic of conversation: "Let's go look for a tenth member now. I think Hong Clan's Hong Haoyu would be perfect"

"Hmm. He is at the second tier of the Domain Formation realm and his battle strength is on par with Shu Kai's. He should be perfect" Shu Mingling agreed with Shu Jun's reasoning.

"Speak of the devil himself" Shu Kai snorted as they saw Hong Haoyu's distinct silver hair walking towards them.

"Hong Haoyu!" Shu Jun called out.

"Huh? What is it?" Hong Haoyu asked.

"Seeing that you are going to Elder Tu Feng's living quarters, I trust that you want to form your own team. Why not join us and make our numbers enough for the minimum requirement to form a squad?" Shu Jun went straight to the matter at hand.

"Hmm. I would have preferred to join my own clansmen but since Lu Clan's Lu Zheng is here, I'll join you" Hong Haoyu said as he looked at Lu Zheng.

"Lu Clan's Lu Zheng?" The eight Shu clansmen repeated in obvious surprise.

Shu Jun suddenly realised that he hadn't asked Lu Zheng for his name.

"You know him?" Shu Mingling asked.

"A little, he's very strong" Hong Haoyu didn't hold back to praise Lu Zheng.

Shu Kai's eyes glistened silently at Hong Haoyu's praise but he did not speak.

"We should leave now that our numbers are complete. We'll be going to the Dark Forest to hunt beasts" Shu Jun said.

The ten then left for Dark Forest but when they reached the entrance of Juanshei Sect, they met a ferocious beast.

"What's a beast doing here?" Shu Teng's face discoloured as she sensed the beast's aura.

It was a rank four beast.
