Chapter 150: Chapter 150
A blue ethereal light shot forth in an instant, engulfing the space between Ali and the Jedi with unnerving speed. Before they could react, the shimmering light coalesced into a horrifying, ghostly apparition.
The twisted, demonic face of the spectre screamed directly into their paths, its shriek reverberating through the room like a chorus of tortured souls.
Both Jedi instinctively jumped back, startled by the sudden manifestation. The ghost's malevolent visage and otherworldly aura sent a shiver through their spines, momentarily disrupting their focus. However, Ali remained still, his crimson mask giving away nothing of his thoughts.
'It's a smokescreen,' Ali deduced, unimpressed. The Sith apprentice thrust his hand forward, piercing the ghost. His target wasn't the ghostly illusion—it was what lay beyond it.
Through the blue haze, Ali extended his control over the Force, catching the player mid-flight as he activated his jetpack in an attempt to escape.
The player's expression darkened when he felt the invisible pull yank him backward. No matter how much he accelerated the thrusters, he remained bound in place by an unrelenting grip.
Ali clenched his fist and wrenched his arm back. The player was violently ripped from the air, his body flying backward and crashing through the wall of the skyscraper. The impact left a fresh, human-sized hole amidst the destruction.
"Did you really think that was going to work?" Ali's voice was cold and mocking, cutting through the dissipating ghostly energy. He tilted his head slightly as if amused, his hand curling again in the air.
CRACK.
The player gasped audibly as the jetpack strapped to his back crumbled into nothing more than a collection of warped metal fragments. The pieces clattered to the ground, a testament to Ali's sheer dominance over the situation.
'NO!' the player screamed internally, despair flashing across his face as he realised his prized jetpack—his hard-earned prize—was gone.
The player sprawled on the floor amidst the rubble. His shirt, torn and disheveled, barely clung to his frame. From beneath the tattered fabric, an amulet hung on a thin chain, its deep green glow casting an eerie light.
All eyes locked onto the relic.
'Fuck, I'm out of Spirit,' the player thought bitterly. Manifesting the trio of ghosts had drained his reserves completely. He lay there, helpless, the odds against him insurmountable.
The tension in the room crackled like a live wire.
THUD. THUD.
The sound of boots landing heavily on the floor broke the silence. All heads turned to see two new arrivals—Reka and the nurse—leaping from a flying vehicle into the ruined room.
Ali's eyes narrowed in confusion as he took in their unexpected entrance. "What the fuck are you doing here?" he barked.
Reka approached him without hesitation, her youthful confidence bordering on naivety. "Ali, we're here to help!" she said, her tone earnest and almost cheerful as if oblivious to the chaos surrounding them.
Ali's attention shifted momentarily to the nurse. Her face was obscured by a sleek blue helmet, one that he had never seen before. 'What is that?' he wondered briefly, but his thoughts were interrupted by the scene unfolding around him.
The Jedi, who had remained cautious until now, saw their opportunity. The Jedi Master nodded to Kale, and together they used the Force to seize the amulet from the player's neck. The green glow intensified as it floated into the air, the object radiating an ancient and almost sentient power.
The player groaned weakly, unable to stop them. The shattered remnants of the jetpack pinned his body to the ground, rendering him motionless.
Ali's sharp instincts kicked in immediately. He extended his own Force, pulling against the Jedi Master's control. The amulet trembled in the air, caught between opposing powers.
The Jedi ignited their lightsabers simultaneously, their green blades humming with life as they readied themselves for battle.
Reka, standing beside Ali, froze. Her wide eyes fixated on the glowing lightsabers, and in an instant, her expression shifted. It was as if a dam had burst within her mind, releasing a flood of buried memories.
Dark recollections flashed before her eyes, overwhelming and disorienting. Ali noticed the change too late.
The player, still struggling on the floor, felt the atmosphere shift dramatically. The very air around them grew heavy, almost oppressive. Even someone without Force sensitivity could feel the tension thickening, the environment charged with an ominous energy.
The Jedi were the first to sense the cataclysmic shift. They exchanged glances, alarmed, as the swirling energy coalesced in Ali's direction, around Reka to be more precise.
Ali's eyes widened behind his mask. 'Fuck', he thought as he realised the danger a fraction of a second too late.
The Jedi Master was already forming a Force shield around herself and Kale, bracing for the storm that was about to erupt.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Reka's scream tore through the room like an unholy banshee wail. The Force exploded outward from her, a tidal wave of raw, uncontrolled power.
Ali was hurled backward with devastating force, smashing through the walls of the room.
His body collided with unyielding debris, the impact shattering his eardrums.
Blood trickled from his ears and nose as he struggled to regain his bearings.
The Jedi Master fell to her knees, her shield straining against the sheer ferocity of the Force scream. Kale rushed to her aid, pooling his energy into reinforcing the barrier. Even combined, their effort was barely enough to hold against the acolyte's unleashed fury.
Behind Reka, the nurse remained remarkably composed, protected by the blue helmet she wore. The device seemed to shield her from the worst of the onslaught.
The player, however, was not so fortunate. His body began to disintegrate, piece by piece, into nothingness. He let out one final, agonised cry before vanishing entirely, consumed by the raw power emanating from Reka.
The shockwaves continued to ripple outward, each one more violent than the last.
Reka's skin cracked under the strain, thin rivers of blood streaming from her eyes as her body neared its breaking point.
The nurse acted swiftly, stepping behind Reka and plunging a syringe into her neck.
The sedative worked almost instantly, and the girl collapsed into unconsciousness, her body finally at rest.
As the Force storm subsided, the Jedi Master released her shield with a shuddering breath. She and Kale limped toward the amulet, now lying on the ground amidst the rubble. Picking it up, they made their way to the gaping hole in the wall.
A flying vehicle hovered just outside, its doors sliding open to receive them. The Jedi climbed aboard, sparing a final glance at the destruction they were leaving behind.
Ali, bloodied, clutched the edge of the opening and stretched his hand toward the fleeing vehicle.
The craft jerked midair, the Force pulling it back as Ali's immense power took hold.
The Jedi exchanged alarmed looks, their strength spent on Reka's Force scream and unable to counter his pull.
But then Ali's body wavered. He fell to one knee, clutching his stomach. His lightsaber hilt slipped from his grasp and clattered to the floor as he began coughing violently.
Kale smirked as he watched the Sith struggle. "It's the poison," he said smugly, his voice tinged with satisfaction. "It's taking effect."
The Jedi Master cast one last glance at Ali before settling into her seat. The vehicle accelerated, vanishing into the chaotic skies of Tartek. They used the chaotic movement of vehicles trying to leave the city with VIP guests to escape the city unseen, the flying vehicle headed straight for a forested area of Tartek.
Ali rose to his feet moments later, his movements steady as if he had never been injured. 'They bought it', he thought with a grim smirk. He had feigned being poisoned to mislead the Jedi, ensuring his plan could proceed without interference.
Turning his attention to the nurse, who stood frozen with Reka's unconscious body, Ali approached her with deliberate steps. His lightsaber remained in hand, the crimson blade unlit.
"I had orders!" the nurse stammered, her voice trembling as she backed away.
Ali came to a halt as he stood near Reka's unconscious form. His gaze lingered on the teenage girl, whose raw power had managed to overcome three formidable Force users in a single outburst.
'So, this is your weapon, Sivara,' Ali mused as he could still sense the residual energy emanating from her. The Force clung to her like a lingering storm, potent and untamed.
The blue helmet the nurse wore suddenly lifted off her head, suspended mid-air as Ali's silent command manipulated it through the Force.
It hovered ominously beside her, its motion slow and deliberate, exuding an air of foreboding. Ali's gaze locked onto her.
Without uttering a word, Ali clenched his fingers slightly, and the helmet crumpled under the invisible pressure.
CRACK.
The sound echoed sharply in the ruined space as the helmet splintered into jagged fragments. The nurse flinched instinctively, her breath catching as the shattered pieces floated and compressed further, reforming into a dense sphere of blue scrap.
The ball hovered for a moment, compact and unnervingly precise, before falling to the ground with a heavy thud.
The nurse's imagination betrayed her, conjuring a terrifying image of her own head being subjected to the same fate. Fear coursed through her veins as Ali's silent yet overwhelming dominance pressed down on her.
"Take her to headquarters," he said coldly. "And do not leave. Lena will be watching to ensure you don't follow any more of your... orders."
The nurse nodded frantically, relief washing over her as Ali turned and walked away.
She climbed into the waiting vehicle with Reka, departing swiftly.
Ali stood amidst the ruins, his gaze fixed on the distant skyline. The battle was far from over.
