The Mundane Journal Entries of an Ordinary Person

Chapter 22: 21st entry

Season: Summer

Weather: clear skies, hot sunny day. Definitely beach weather. Not that I went to the beach.

Day of the week: Saturday

Date: 17th February, 2024

My journal went missing. I don't know where it's been. I remember dropping it after getting pulled out of the wardrobe the other day. I thought I had already checked under the bed and bedside drawers, but there it was. Hiding in almost plain sight. I wouldn't have seen it if a corner hadn't been peeking out. Stony Boss was the one who helped me find it.

Anyway, to catch things up here, I've gone back to work. I get to keep my Wednesdays off. Due to being sick last time, I lost both my Saturday jobs and so I'm looking for new work, but in the meantime, enjoying this free time. Stony Boss says I shouldn't though.

Since I've started back at work, Stony Boss stopped visiting me in my apartment, which is a relief. I have no idea where that kind of confused relationship could potentially leave me. It was only Wednesday that he came over to remind me of my doctor's appointment and insisted on taking me there and back. He insisted on being with me and asked the doctors a whole lot of questions.

There's really nothing wrong with me. I don't know why I have to take medication for anything. Why waste money? Humph. Who's gonna make me take them, huh? I'm not even going to buy them. So there. There's nothing wrong with me.

Anthony Duin was kind enough to buy me a case of those nice Reshore box drinks. He said I should keep them on my desk and have a drink whenever I want. Those drinks aren't too bad. They help when I'm not feeling too good, so I'll accept them for now.

Neither my parents nor Bezel have called me. I don't want to talk to them either. Nobody really calls me except for work and I hardly use my mobile phone, so it's been sitting at home by my bed. It's run out of battery. Perhaps it's best that it stays that way.

I bought a new laptop with my spare money. I have money in my savings now. I have spare money to use. Isn't it amazing? I've spent most of today setting the laptop up and installing everything I need to on it. I also got an external harddrive for backing things up.

I also bought two new dresses, a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. I replaced all my old underwears and other basic essentials that were too worn or full of holes. I can't stop giggling like a highschool girl. I have new clothes. I'm so happy. I could kiss somebody again.

Also, also, I got a new fridge. This fridge doesn't break down and it works much better than the old fridge. The old fridge was taken away by somebody who wants to have a go at fixing it when he saw me manhandling the thing out the apartment.

Happy. Happy. Happy.
