The Peerless Emperor (TPE)

Chapter 132: Chapter 132: The Battleships

"You ignorant fool?"

Hearing Lin Qian's remark, the expression of the blood-refined corpse twisted with a mix of confusion and rage as it shouted at him, "You, a mere child from a backwater place, dare to call me ignorant? Fine, fine! I'd like to see how you plan to evacuate so many people!"

Not only was the alien controlling the blood-refined corpse anxious, but everyone present also stared at Lin Qian with a mixture of hope and uncertainty. In this dire situation, they desperately wished that Lin Qian's words were true and that he could indeed save the Wanxiang Sect.

Among those who knew Lin Qian best, Lei Qian seemed to have a realization: "Could it be that Boss plans to summon his forces again? He did say he has thousands of subordinates at the Void Realm. If each Void Realm cultivator uses their soul power to carry dozens of outer sect and servant disciples, it might just work."

The more Lei Qian thought about it, the more convinced he became that Lin Qian's plan involved summoning a massive force to evacuate the sect.

"Hmph, this alien is about to see just how terrifying Boss really is," Lei Qian thought smugly.

Hmm?

"Why did it suddenly get dark?" Lei Qian suddenly noticed that the surroundings had dimmed, as if something had blocked the moonlight. When he looked up, he froze in shock.

HOOOONNNNNNNKKKK!

A deep horn echoed through the sky, reverberating across the heavens and earth.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The sound of drums followed, each strike resonating like a heartbeat within everyone's chest.

One after another, the disciples of the Wanxiang Sect looked up, their mouths agape as they stared at the sky.

Ships—massive ships that looked like floating cities—moved through the air above them.

To the disciples of the Wanxiang Sect, these hovering vessels were colossal, like moving fortresses.

The deep, resounding horn continued to echo across the sect, and the ships drifted through the sky like ancient behemoths.

The ships were brightly lit, with towering buildings on their decks. Each massive ship could easily accommodate tens of thousands of people, with plenty of space to spare.

Under the moonlight, the ships' metallic hulls gleamed coldly, and ominous black openings on the ships seemed to stare down, evoking a sense of dread as if they could swallow everything in their path.

At that moment, a soft light began to radiate from the ships, descending upon the Wanxiang Sect and enveloping all the disciples within its glow.

"Everyone, do not resist!" A voice suddenly echoed across the entire Wanxiang Sect, reaching every disciple's ears.

For reasons unknown, every disciple instinctively obeyed the voice and stopped resisting, allowing the light to envelop them.

As the light covered them, every person in the Wanxiang Sect could feel themselves lifting off the ground, slowly ascending toward the massive ships above.

Back on Maoqing Mountain, everyone was stunned, including the alien controlling the blood-refined corpse.

Wei Wushuang, who had issued the command, swallowed hard, turning his stiff neck to look at Lin Qian beside him.

However, Lin Qian paid him no mind. Instead, he sneered at the blood-refined corpse and said, "So, what do you think? Have you ever seen such battleships before? Could you even afford one? Admit it—you've never seen anything like this. Be sure to watch closely, and try not to drool."

At this moment, the blood-red glow in the blood-refined corpse's eyes dimmed as it stared intently at Lin Qian, the weight of the situation pressing down on it. "Who… exactly are you?"

Lin Qian gazed at the blood-refined corpse, watching as the last drop of black blood drained from its heart, extinguishing the red light in its eyes. Just as the corpse began to fall, Lin Qian answered, "I am the Emperor."

With Lin Qian's words, the blood-refined corpse collapsed, its final drop of black blood drained. Its eyes dulled, and it plummeted to the ground.

Wei Wushuang reacted quickly, using his soul power to catch the body before it hit the ground.

After all, this was the body of his master and the grandfather of his eldest disciple. It wouldn't be right to let it fall.

At that moment, the ship above them emitted a soft light that enveloped Lin Qian and the others, lifting them up into the vessel.

In a matter of moments, every member of the Wanxiang Sect had been transported aboard the five battleships.

The five ships turned in unison, adjusting their course, and flew toward the sect's mountain gate.

Compared to their previous leisurely pace, the ships now moved at incredible speed. Within seconds, they had passed through the mountain gate.

After leaving the sect grounds, the battleships gradually slowed down. Soon, the Wanxiang Sect disciples aboard the ships began to shout in alarm as they looked back toward the sect.

From a distance, they could see that the sect was engulfed in a thick, blood-red mist, and the stench of blood was strong even from afar.

On the rear deck of the central battleship, Lin Qian and the others gazed toward the sect, watching as the blood mist raged on. They all let out a sigh of relief.

The Wanxiang Sect had been destroyed. Even if the formation was stopped, the sect could no longer serve as a home.

Though the disciples had been evacuated, the mountains and forests within the sect's grounds were still teeming with soul beasts and other life forms.

The blood-refined corpse had mentioned a Blood Refinement Formation, which would continue to draw power from these creatures, eventually transforming the area into a different kind of land.

For now, the members of the Wanxiang Sect had no home to return to.

Gao Benli, Lin Qian's senior brother, was also aboard the battleship but had not joined them yet. He was busy tending to his grandfather's remains.

"Don't worry, he'll be fine," Wei Wushuang reassured Lin Qian, noticing his concerned expression as he glanced in the direction of the ship's interior.

Lin Qian nodded slightly, sighing, "Senior Brother may always seem upbeat, but he's truly been through a lot. I've never seen him show such sadness before."

"His parents died when he was just three years old, so it was his grandfather who raised him. Their bond is very deep, so it's only natural that he would react this way," Wei Wushuang said, his own voice tinged with melancholy.

"Boss, you've really left me speechless this time," Lei Qian said as he rushed over from the ship's interior, his voice filled with amazement. "This battleship has everything! The facilities here are even better than what we had at the Wanxiang Sect!"

"But when I tried to enter the lower decks, I couldn't. There's some kind of invisible barrier blocking the way."

"Oh, right, I almost forgot to tell everyone—don't try to force your way into the lower decks," Lin Qian said suddenly as he started walking toward the interior of the ship.

Lei Qian was taken aback and hurried after him, asking, "Why? What's down there?"

"Because you'll die!"
