The Red Rose and The Black Rose

Chapter 67: Interlude 46.5

(4 days ago, December 9th of the Gregorian Calendar, Deorum Regnum, Marble City)

Dont had come at the request of Black Abyss, her girlfriend~ Despite the situation with the Demon Empire. While it was dangerous to do such a thing, the dove's needy insistence melted any arguments Dont had, and appropriate precautions were taken. And she spent some time with her, doing cheesy things and spending passionate nights~ But something strange was happening…

She sensed it…

Still, maybe it was just a feeling that creature gave her, that living being of infinite darkness, whose red eyes showed the total destruction of the world.

That rabbit looked at her a lot, as if he was thinking something about her, like a thousand curses to cast and end her own existence.

"Black Flower~ Have this~" A maid brought a carrot towards the black rabbit, who seemed to accept it reluctantly, nibbling on the carrot, but without taking his eyes off Dont.

"Umu…" The Demon muttered, looking away from the fluffy abyss monster, squinting at her foreboding, annoyed that the scary rabbit was causing her such discomfort right now for some reason.

"Supre- Ejem, Lady Nyx." She heard one of the maids speak, looking at the same one after finally stopping fighting a battle of sights with Black Flower, seeing her arrive. "A report from the Marble Queen." The latter blurted out, bowing and handing it over.

Dont sighed, even outside of Titania and the Demon Realm, she had to receive reports and read them… How tiresome it was sometimes…

"Umu, thank you." She blurted out, taking the papers, seeing that they were basically financial reports. Deorum Regnum had a very strong local currency, named after chess pieces based on their value, because why not, which was constantly growing, and the funds were very good, in addition to the gold in reserve, which increased even more every month, not only from internal and foreign trade, but from mining in different places. Therefore, it was not bad at all, Superbia was a very good ruler from the look of things. Added to, of course, the help of the dozens of NPCs and Mercenaries who served Superbia in the area of governing Deorum Regnum.

Still, Dont could certainly see Superbia ruling Deorum Regnum alone and being wonderful. Being a level 100 NPC, her stats were very high, but also her intelligence, especially for her setup, she was the smartest in Titania alongside Bachelory and a few others, and she showed it well with her exploits, leading a newborn kingdom that was almost bankrupt to a prosperous nation in a very short time, even though Titania's financial support wasn't really high, in order to keep the attention towards the Guild's base low.

Still, she raised an eyebrow at something strange…

"Three murders in one month?" That, indeed, was quite strange, ever since Superbia took over, criminals were punished like never before, also applying the death penalty, making it so that after 5 months of her assumption, crime dropped to almost 0, with only minor crimes like theft or fighting.

And even then, said crimes were committed by foreigners, or more specifically, non-natives of Titania. After all, idyllic camaraderie was something that stood out to the Fairies and other inhabitants of Titania above all, outside of the friendly and configured conflicts of the NPCs, as was the case of Bachelory and Mimosa's competition for... Well, Dont didn't understand why they competed, and what they did it on... Or another very good example, Superbia and Achernar, who openly showed a kind of contempt for each other, but got along very well~

Fortunately, or unfortunately, Dont didn't know how well those two actually got along, to the point where, when possible, at least once a month there were little things happening between the Dragonoid and the Moth. Blame of a certain 'Cupid' and a joke from the Guild members.

But 3 homicides in 1 month, that was something else... And there was no mention of them being solved... Also...

"Maiden?" What was that name? 'A masked criminal who runs from justice, but calls herself a vigilante heroine'? Huh… 'Appears at night, but hasn't been caught yet. Possibly strong.' The report said about her…

Interesting… And somewhat worrying… She could be someone strong according to the report, and Superbia classified her as a criminal who appears at night to do… Who knows what… In fact, it was already nighttime, but I didn't know if she was even going to show up.

Still, she raised an eyebrow, hearing quite a bit of movement outside, it must be guards perhaps from the sound of armor… She saw one of the maids heading outside, stopping one of the soldiers, talking to him for a moment.

"Do you want a drink or food, Supr- Ejem, Lady Nyx~?" The other maid present asked with a smile.

"Ah, a coffee would be nice, Marbas~" The Demon Queen hummed, sharpening her superior senses to easily hear the conversation between the maid and the soldier.

"Understood~" The maid exclaimed, leaving while the other one re-entered.

"Lady Nyx. Apparently there was an event, some guards saw the supposed 'Maiden' jumping on roofs in the city, so they are putting the castle's security to the maximum for her sake and that of Miss Titania, who is bathing." She explained, giving her a bow.

Black Abyss was a fan of bathing, she could spend more than 30 minutes playing in the water, so she would be safe knowing that she was there…

And obviously, the idea of bathing with Black Abyss, among other things, crossed the Demon's mind more than a dozen times in the last few minutes.

Regardless of that… She had that feeling again… Too curious about this 'Maiden'…

"Mm… I see… That certainly poses not only a danger to the public safety and image of Deorum Regnum, but it poses a long and short term nuisance if it's going to be like this." Dont hummed, rising from her seat with a sigh.

"Miss Nyx…? Are you planning to go…?" The maid asked almost worriedly.

"Don't worry. Call Achernar, have him catch up with me." Dont hummed, looking at her outfit.

Of course, not only could she not go with her face uncovered and her usual Lady Nyx clothes. Thus, in a flash of magic, her equipment changed.

Instead of the elegant dress worthy of a noble lady, a black latex full-body suit fitted her perfect demonic body, filled with belts here and there, leaving only her head, her hands and not much else exposed, with dark boots, and a thin silver necklace.

An outfit that couldn't be described as anything other than a spy suit.

{Spy Dont PNG}

And of course, the fact that the set was called 'Shadow of Spy' confirmed that it was indeed a spy outfit.

And as her face was still uncovered, she reached into her inventory, and pulled out her precious mask, which she had been using when she was in the Demon Empire to hide her face.

Her latex and leather mask fit perfectly over her nose and mouth, and suddenly, a blackish mist covered the rest of her face from any outsiders.

"I will notify the Commander right away." The maid said with a somewhat funny military salute knowing that she was a maid, before quickly walking elegantly out, leaving the room, and then being able to hear her running down the hallway in search of Achernar, funny~

The Demon Queen, now alone, quickly located the nearest window, which overlooked a wide terrace, and jumped from the edge into the void, about 30 meters above the ground.

Of course, such a distance was nothing for someone like Dont. Despite the distance and speed, she barely touched the ground, landing like a feather, or a little more than that, with the sound of her landing sounding like a 'thud'.

If she were a Ranger or something similar, she wouldn't even have made a sound, but Dont was a mid-high level Assassin at most, and on top of that, a Shooter.

Regardless, with a smile to herself, she began to jump from roof to roof, after activating an invisibility spell…

Back in the room she had just left…

"My Lady~ I brought you your coffee-" Marbas froze as she looked at the room where her Lady was empty, missing both the Supreme, and her fellow servant…

Marbas stood still in mild shock for several seconds…

The wind sounded on the heights of the rooftops, while tapping could be heard with the jumps of that mysterious woman who, using the roofs of houses and businesses as a road, moved towards a destination.

"I see the cathedral now~" He exclaimed, stopping on a rooftop. "Hm… Okay~" She blurted out, searching her waist for her mask.

{Mysterious Heroine PNG}

After all, the color of her eyes made her stand out quite a bit from who she was, not to mention her face, everyone would know she was Titania, and if she talked about Dont, they would know it was her~ And she didn't want that, it would ruin being an anonymous heroine... Which was one of her dreams in the previous human world~

She put on her mask, she had inspired it in Dont, because she likes crows, so she secretly asked for this rather nocturnal dress and... Crowly? Something like that~

In fact, she was surprised to know that in Titania they had already prepared about 184 different dresses with several different themes, princess, nurse, bunny, inverted bunny, Succubus too… And everything initially fit her measurements, which she didn't know why they had, she never asked them to do that, or maybe it was a hobby of the seamstresses, or maybe her Guild mates collected all kinds of things… No, she could rule that last one out, since Yggdrasil's clothing had minimal data that adjusted even the smallest garment for the comfortable use of a Giant… That is to say, those clothes were created in a mundane way with common resources… And someone had them made with her measurements… She couldn't help but think of a certain Sniper when she thought of who could have made it… Or well~

In the end, she kept this outfit~ She usually wore white and soft colors, so no one would suspect it was her if she wore those colors at first~

With her mask hiding her yellow eyes and most of her face, she took a great leap, straight towards the cathedral, before putting her feet forward, hitting a window and falling inside, landing on one knee and one foot softly.

"Superhero landing~" She exclaimed quietly, standing up, looking around. She took out a red sphere from her inventory, which began to open, with two fins coming out of its sides. "[Scan]" She exclaimed, with the small drone rising and beginning to release a light as it moved around the pews, scanning quickly, while Black Abyss began to walk around the center, seeing small red drops on the white floor…

A sound came out of the drone as it arrived behind the altar, releasing a red light, indicating that it had found something.

Thus, the Supreme trotted towards the altar, looking behind it, seeing…

"Oh…" She looked at the body of what was a Toad Man… There was a cut on his chest, deep, surely it reached his heart, his death was quick, but…

Black Abyss crouched down, looking at his hands… There were signs of having struggled, perhaps he managed to land a blow on the one who killed him before receiving such damage…

Black Abyss placed her hand on the chest of this one.

"[Resurre-]" She stopped chanting the spell when the drone made a sound again, looking towards the small machine of the expansion of the Fall of the Valkyries of Yggdrasil moving towards the middle of the hall, showing red light, before its light disappeared. "Huh…?"

She was quite confused, she didn't believe that a Yggdrasil machine in perfect condition could have a defect and malfunction, but it was literally marking an object where there was absolutely nothing…

She looked at the Toad Man again, it was a priest dictating about her and her girlfriend, Dont, or well, more specifically, about the Goddesses of Good and Evil, Mobius and Onyx, turning the locals, or well, the non-natives of Titania, into their new religion.

She wanted to revive him, but this was getting too weird, she would ask to be revived once she returned, like Black Abyss.

Meanwhile, she stood up and walked towards the drone, watching it release a sound again, moving behind her, until she caught it, grabbing it with two fingers and looking at it.

"[Reset]" She exclaimed, with the drone closing and spinning, before opening again as before, to release that sound and its red light again. "How strange…" She muttered, wiping her shoulder afterwards, feeling a small, almost imperceptible discomfort after feeling something on her back, more like the sensation of an insect flying near her than anything, but… She heard the metallic sound of something falling, looking down, seeing… "Huh?" She crouched down, grabbing what was obviously a broken blade of a sword, she examined the blade, it had its edge broken at the part where it broke, as well as green spots on its upper edge and tip…

This weapon… It matched the cut on the priest's chest.

She heard footsteps behind her, turning to see the man standing, no, backing up behind her, with the other half of the sword in his hands.

"You… You killed him. Didn't you?" She asked, taking out another artifact from her inventory, a camera, quickly pointing it at him and taking a photo, capturing the appearance of the possible man who had already escaped 3 times without even seeing him. "You are the one who is killing our people…" She exclaimed seriously, taking the photo that came out of the camera and leaving it on the ground, behind her.

"W-Who the hell are you…?" The man exclaimed with surprise, nerves and some fear in his voice, seeing his broken sword, and the complete lack of any wounds on Black Abyss.

"I…" The masked woman lowered her gaze a little, before raising a fist, as well as a knee, with a yellow light coming out of it. "I am Maiden! I fight to take down criminals and villains like you!" She exclaimed, pointing her hand at the man, striking a pose. "And now I'll finish you off!" She exclaimed, clenching her fist and jumping towards him, delivering a contained blow, but still with enough force to eliminate someone like Gazef Stronoff in one hit.

But when the blow should have hit the target, piercing the man's chest and leaving him without a heart and no pulse or blood circulation, the man disappeared, although Black Abyss still felt a graze on her left knuckle, with red blood splashing on the ground in small drops.

"What!?" She looked around, she was sure that her blow minimally grazed the man, which would have caused a serious cut depending on where it hit, but she was still able to track him due to his bleeding. Still...

No matter if she used her vision, her ears, even her ability to sense vibrations and smells superior to that of a sniffer dog, she couldn't find him...

She heard a broken window, looking to the left. Impossible…

"[Bind Zone]" She exclaimed, pointing her hand at the window, causing a 2 meter perimeter around that window to appear, with chains coming out from the edge of said perimeter, all gathering at the tip of the window, making a dome. With luck, she would have caught him… But she couldn't know, she couldn't feel it.

Still, she heard the breaking of two more windows from the right, where she came from.

"Poor windows…" She muttered, turning to see who had arrived. "Huh?"

The Demon Queen of Titania, coupled with the efforts of her faithful Commander, Achernar, who was quick to catch up to her… They ended up empty-handed after quickly questioning several soldiers about whether they saw said criminal jumping across the roofs.

"Ha… This isn't leading anywhere. And Bla- Ejem, Titania should be finishing her bath any minute…" She muttered irritably.

"Miss. Look!" Achernar changed to a more serious tone, pointing towards a blue light in the cathedral about 400 meters away from them, there was a broken window, and from that distance they could still see chains appearing on a window on the other side of the cathedral.

"Saint Basil's Cathedral!" Dont blurted out, even though the cathedral wasn't called that, and her voice came out as a gravelly amalgam that wasn't even close to being her voice. "Achernar! Let's go right away!" The Shooter ordered, reaching into her inventory.

She hesitated for a moment, for if he took out her main weapon, it would be putting her identity at risk, therefore, she had to, for the first time in a long time, use her secondary weapon.

The weapon was basically a black sniper rifle, with a smooth and rather modern and refined appearance, as well as compact and metallic.

It had been Dont's main weapon a long time ago, before La Rose Noire had been created.

Trou Noir, a Legendary-class long-distance firearm.

{Tru Noir PNG}

Unfortunately for Dont, this weapon, unlike La Rose Noire, had limited bullets. It only had 1 round of 10 free bullets per day, the rest would have to be used from crafted or obtained bullets, therefore, Dont could only use Trou Noir 10 times before having to switch, as using consumable bullets from Yggdrasil was a no no when you had La Rose Noire.

Especially since they hadn't yet gotten an unlimited source of resources to craft, say, high-level bullets. And ever since La Rose Noire was created, bullet farming by Dont and other members was left aside, so Titania's ammo pool was much smaller than it could have been.

Of course, a few hundred million bullets ranging across all levels and elements was still a noteworthy amount, but it wasn't even a fraction of what it could have been if Dont hadn't stopped farming ammo for 8 years. Likewise, while La Rose Noire had 100 free bullets per day, it was still a Divine-tier weapon, therefore prioritizing consumable ammo for said weapon was a priority over something like Trou Noir.

Meaning, it wasn't worth the expense.

Back to the present, Dont, despite not having used Trou Noir for 8, no, over 10 years, felt just as familiar with it as she did with her Divine weapon. Not only because it was once her main weapon, but because, being a Shooter, she felt super familiar with all kinds of firearms.

Once Trou Noir was out of her inventory, Dont moved at full speed towards the cathedral, followed by Achernar.

While they could enter through the door, not only would it be boring, but they would take the criminal by surprise if they entered through the windows.

"This way!" she ordered.

"Yes!"

And with some pretty impressive epicness, both Dont and Achernar entered the cathedral, breaking a window each in the process, and landing without difficulty and without injuries, with Dont kneeling down and taking a shooting stance while Trou Noir seemed to move a little, preparing to shoot, while Achernar stood in front of his Queen and took a hand-to-hand combat stance.

As they entered, they saw a tall, white-haired woman dressed in a suspicious dark outfit, wearing a crow mask. In fact, Dont had memories of Black Abyss flashing through her mind at the sight of that white hair, but she knew that she was showering and playing in the water right now, not committing crimes.

"Didn't your mother teach you to knock?" The woman asked, her voice mature, certainly not Black Abyss's, so she could teach her a lesson.

"And didn't yours teach you not to murder innocents?" The Demon Queen replied, her voice transformed into a deep alien tone of her normal voice thanks to her mask, while a black and confusing fog covered her features.

On the other hand, Achernar narrowed his eyes, and shook his head.

And to the 'criminal's' misfortune, Achernar was wearing a spy outfit to match Dont's… Therefore, it was difficult to identify him as the Commander at first glance.

"Wait, wait. What do you mean, killing innocents?" The girl asked somewhat worried, looking back, seeing the priest's body. "Hey, I swear it's a misunderstanding! He did it!" She said, pointing to the window with the blue chains, where there was nothing. "I know it seems like there's nothing… But I don't see things, there's someone there…" She exclaimed with a droplet falling from her mask.

Both Dont and Achernar looked at each other for a moment, before the Demon replied.

"I'm sure there aren't any mental asylums in Marble City for you to have escaped from. But well, it seems that one will have to be made just for you." She replied in a mocking tone, before her rifle charged with an energetic and silent noise, and fired without a sound a bullet that should have been imbued with a paralyzing effect, being shot directly at the Maiden's leg.

The Maiden quickly raised her knee, and to Dont's surprise, she kicked her bullet towards the ceiling… Sure, the bullet didn't have a particularly strong enchantment, but it was still a level 90 weapon…

"You're wrong! I am Maiden! Heroine of Justice!" The Maiden exclaimed, striking a pose, putting one hand over her mask, and pointing at them with her other hand dramatically.

Both Dont and Achernar sweatdropped at this… Only the Dragonoid reacted quickly, making a swift and powerful leap towards Maiden.

He raised a fist, and directed it at an impressive speed towards the latter's stomach, hitting it squarely and causing the latter to bend a little after a pained groan. And of course, the Ninja hesitated to deliver an elbow towards the 'heroine's' jaw, stunning her slightly while making her retreat.

Of course, said stun might not have been applied if said 'heroine' was, hypothetically, a certain level 100 Paladin. But of course, that was, in all likelihood, impossible.

"That attack…" Maiden muttered, before staring at Achernar intently. "You're strong… But you don't stand a chance against Justice! I've already read all your moves~!" As she stood up straight, the girl seemed to have a tremendous buff of confidence for some reason… "Justice Kick!" She exclaimed, unleashing a kick towards Achernar, who could only avoid it by ducking. "Justice Crush!" She exclaimed, bringing her foot down, almost hitting the back of the Dragonoid's head, who took a step back after dodging that, looking surprised.

"Tch, that was… Level 75…?" Dont clicked her tongue, firing a bullet after applying an impact buff, hitting the Maiden's chest squarely.

However, instead of leaving a hole in her chest, this only pushed her back until she crashed into a wall, cracking said wall and destroying some chairs in the way of said obstacle.

"And durable… [Message]" She called out quickly, contacting none other than her beloved.

(BLACK ABYSS!) She shouted through the mental link as he watched Achernar charge towards Maiden, fists clenched and ready to apply a martial technique.

"Wah! Dimensional Lock!" The girl said as if surprised, and Dont felt her connection suddenly cut off, hearing the girl's [Dimensional Lock] in her mind for some reason, perhaps there were things about that spell that had changed now…

"Huh!?" Still, she blurted out in confusion, since this was the first time [Dimensional Lock] had done something like that. Likewise, that was a level 8 spell, which only Devils and Angels could learn. Therefore… Either Maiden was able to learn spells from other races, or she was an Angel or Devil, and on top of that, she had high-level stamina, and a speed of around level 75, if not the ability to use level 8 magic at the very least.

"Listen to me carefully!" She blurted out, jumping back to escape from Achernar. "My special Talent allows me to learn any spell and technique I see in just a second and without Mana consumption! You've already lost!" Maiden said, striking another pose. "It's my talent, Justice Love!"

"Use Dragonslayer." She instantly ordered Achernar to use his strongest ability as Dont trembled slightly at this…

If she basically federated with skills and spells and didn't even require any requirements for it… This girl could defeat all of Titania if she was allowed to run free.

Therefore, she had to be finished off here and now.

"Yes!" Achernar nodded, understanding the same as Dont as he took a step like an oriental martial art while charging all of his Ki to use his strongest ability as a Martial King.

"H-Hey hey! We're in a church! Don't go overboard!" Maiden let out nervously, gesturing for her to stop with her hand.

Dont whispered quietly to test. "[Message]..." Contacting Miia, who should be in the Marble Palace.

(Lady Dont? What do you need-?)

(Miia, use [Ganymedes] on the cathedral I am in. Quickly tell Eyesight to locate said location for you, also order the Tyrant Destroyer prototypes to be deployed.) She ordered as quickly as she could.

(As you command, Supreme.)" Mira exclaimed, nodding at her order.

(Tell Black Abyss that there is a potential enemy at the level of an Event Boss or higher and put all of Deorum Regnum and Titania on high alert.) She finished the message, firing a common bullet and hitting Maiden's forehead, making her back off as she staggered from the impact, quickly jumping to change location.

Maiden quickly ran away from Achernar before he could jump to where she was, before jumping back again, landing on one of the many benches, stopping for a moment, smiling, to raise one hand, with her other hand on her mask.

"Ha~! I've already read all of his movements! You're going to throw a very powerful bullet at me while your friend does an ultimate technique with many hits while a gigantic lightning bolt falls on me from the sky! Your next sentence will be 'What!? How did she know!?'~" Maiden blurted out, with a wide smile.

"What!?" How did she kno-!?...

Dont was silent for a moment, and threw Trou Noir aside, taking out La Rose Noir and firing a high-level negative damage bullet towards the Heroine, while Achernar hid in the shadows and elbowed the woman's spine from behind, who was sent flying backwards by the impact.

Dont was silent for a moment, and threw Trou Noir aside, taking out La Rose Noir and firing a high-level negative damage bullet towards the Heroine, while Achernar hid in the shadows and elbowed the woman's spine from behind, who was sent flying backwards by the impact.

"Wah! Ejem… But your plan will fail~! Because JUSTICE never loses! [Movement Stop]!" The woman blurted out, with a blue zone appearing on the ground, making Achernar and Dont unable to move their legs.

"[Ki Pulse]!" The Dragonoid shouted, releasing an energy wave that removed the debuff, and lightly pushed the Heroine away.

Dont, on the other hand, used an instant movement skill, appearing in front of Maiden and, changing his weapon setting to buckshot, basically fired a high-level shotgun shell at point-blank range into the girl's chest, sending her flying out of the window he broke earlier and where there were chains before, though now there was just a bunch of someone else's blood.

On the other hand, Maiden collided with something that was limping away from the place, knocking it down.

A large explosion occurred outside the cathedral, where Maiden had fallen, with what looked like fireworks as well…

Achernar jumped towards that place, but no signs of a fight could be heard… Did he finish her off with that attack? Dont jumped back in, watching the blue chains disappear from that window, and there was a body where they were, surely she killed him with that crash- Wait, that gal said there was someone in there… She was right…

"My lady." She heard Achernar's voice, seeing him enter through the window, with a bunch of coins from… Yggdrasil!?

Was it loot? It was depressing loot indeed, that Player had nothing but that card… But she said she had a Talent… Was she a Player…? Native to this world…?

"I was where that individual fell, I found neither her equipment, nor any other signs of her." The NPC explained, with Dont taking the letter, opening it and looking at its contents..

'From the Heroine of Justice to the world~ I will return next December 9th~ And my friend from December 25th sends greetings~ With love, and Justice, Maiden~'

Did… D-Did she mean the Grinch…? Did she mean Santa Claus…? W-Was that a Boss of Yggdrasil she didn't know about!?

Dozens of possibilities ran through her mind… However…

"[Message]. Miia, cancel all the orders I gave you, the target was… Neutralized. However, it seems we will have to come up with a contingency plan to deal with someone like her…" She muttered, ending a message once she received confirmation from Miia.

"My Lady?" Achernar muttered hesitantly as he held the invader's corpse in his hands.

"We are going to the Palace. I'll tell Bla-Titania to revive that thing and we'll interrogate it. Clean and examine the entire cathedral 10 times with meticulous care." She ordered in a serious and very annoyed tone while she put the letter into her inventory along with La Rose Noire.

"Aye, my Lady." Achernar confirmed, bowing.

…

"Uhu… All that happened?" Black Abyss asked with a raised eyebrow at Dont, who was sitting on one of the large rocks in the hot springs made for her in Deorum Regnum.

"… Yeah… Apparently, she promised to come back, somehow, on November 28th… Which is weird, because it's April Fool's Day… And she said something about Christmas… Something doesn't add up though… She said she had a Talent, but she was a Player… But she wasn't that strong… But she knows about the Gregorian calendar…" Dont muttered, holding her chin as she tried to reason out some of what had just happened…

"Meh. What does it matter? She's already dead, isn't she?" The Angel exclaimed, washing her bright white hair.

"I… I guess it's true…" She blurted out, looking to the side…

"Come on, calm down. If she dropped loot, it means she died." Whether it was Yggdrasil, or a combination of Yggdrasil and this world, he already went to heaven or hell." She explained.

The Demon Queen looked at Black Abyss, and sighed.

"Ha… Yeah… I guess so… It was just… Kind of scary, the idea that we finally found a level 100 Player…" She said with some tiredness, sitting on her knees next to Black Abyss.

"But she wasn't. And if she was, Achernar was there, and Miia had already warned me, so I was about to go when that girl died. Stop worrying about it, the others will take care of the remains and all that." The Angel said, waving her hand for her to calm down.

"Mm…" The Shooter hummed, taking a deep breath, to rest her head against the Paladin's shoulder.

"Relax~ It's over~ And it surely won't happen again~ Do you know why~?" The Angel asked with a smile.

"Hm? Why?" With curiosity and some confusion, the Demon Queen looked at the cute little dove.

"Because I said so~ And my words are a World Class Item~" The Paladin exclaimed, amused. "Look~ I'll prove it to you~" She brought her hand closer to Dont's cheek. "Smile~" She said, playfully tugging at her cheek.

The confused Demon blinked, and let out a small smile.

"Pfu~ Mm~ Indeed~ It's very effective~ It even ignores that I have a WCI on me~ How dangerous~" Dont hummed, smiling more widely as she snuggled up to the wet Paladin.

"It'll be fine~ And if it's a boss, it won't be the first one I defeat~ And it'll be a lot easier, since I now have something I love, and want to protect~" She said, grabbing Dont's waist and hugging her.

"Mo~ Don't talk nonsense, dovey~" The Sniper hummed back, blushing as she placed a peck on the Angel's smooth cheek. "I wouldn't let you get away from me for even a second if it were up to me~ So you're not allowed to fight bosses when you could be cuddling me~" She purred.

"But I like to fight~ Look~ I'll show you~" Black Abyss exclaimed, with Dont opening her eyes wide feeling how the Paladin squeezed her with her hand, with an evil smile on her angelic face, slowly bringing her closer to the water, even when Dont was dressed, threatening.

"Mo~ But what a malicious Paladin~" Dont, playing along, said with a distressed pose. At least until she remembered that, with her Lady Nyx clothes being of low level, she could get wet… "U-Umu, w-wait~"

"No waiting~" Black Abyss said with a villainous laugh, grabbing Dont with both hands, before throwing herself into the water with her.

"W-WAH!" The Demon Queen shrieked as she was thrown into the warm water with her dovey, soaking her dress as she tried to get away without much effort. "M-Mo~ You got me all wet~" She blurted out in a mix of amusement and almost daring as the Paladin finally let go of her.

She looked at Black Abyss, in front of her, fixing her hair.

"Why are you looking at me like that~? I hope you're not thinking bad things~" The Angel said, getting closer to the Demon's face.

"Mm~ Who knows~ I am an evil Demon Queen after all~" The Sniper smiled widely, licking her lips as she hugged the Paladin's waist. "One that you vilely wet until she dripped~"

"You silly thing~ Let's fight a little~ On your terms~" Black Abyss said, getting closer and kissing Dont, starting their little fight.

"Mufufufufu~" The devilish Dont hummed in amusement between kisses, before Black Abyss broke said kiss, and began licking her neck.

She thought about unequipping her outfit, and that thought made her wonder what she could have Black Abyss wear today~

And a memory came to her…

"Mm… Now that I think about it… The clothes that chick was wearing… It was very similar to…" She muttered as the thought seemed to settle…

"Are you thinking about another woman with me here~?" She muttered in a tone pretending to be angry, giving her a peck.

"Mo~ Apologies~ My Paladin~" Dont apologized, throwing all thoughts of 'Maiden' into an imaginary trashcan, putting his beloved in the foreground and only~

"[Control Amnesia]" A tired voice murmured with a hand extended towards the man who was weakly writhing in a chair with spikes digging into his flesh, his 'light' and initial punishment…

Before the spell, the man froze, with his eyes open and wandering between staying that way, or closing in his sleep…

Superbia and Achernar watched intently as the Nephilim in charge of guarding Titania's walls, Gandolfo, did something more than sleep, and in Bachelory's absence, he interrogated the human.

"Mm… Something about… Sunflower… Scripture… Theocracy… Wah… How boring, it makes me sleepy…" The Nephilim murmured haltingly. Not because he was really bored, or good, surely, but also because he literally had to take naps for years to stay awake for practically 1 minute…

"Speak well, Gandolfo. This is important." The Moth hissed, an almost hissing sound coming from its antennae, quivering menacingly.

"It's the Captain of the… Sunflower Scripture… Of the Slane Theocracy… Can I go to sleep now? It's 2am… I've been here since 1:45am…" The Nephilim replied, stopping using the spell.

"...Mm, I see." Superbia nodded. "Well, you've done what you had to do. We'll leave the rest to Carmellitian." The Marble Queen hummed with a satisfied smile.

"Yuppy…" The Wizard blurted out at this, only to instantly pass out on a wooden chair to the side, and start snoring like a chainsaw…

"...What are we going to do with this… Thing, Supe- Ejem, Queen Nitocris?" Achernar asked as she looked inquisitively at the human who was beginning to wake up from the confusion of being left in a mental stasis.

"Mm~ A little kindness from Carmellitian and he'll sing like a dove~ As the Sup- Ejem~ Lady Titania says~ Then… Mm… This is, indeed, a diplomatic disaster… We would have more than an excuse to go to war with the Theocracy, especially in these times of unity against the 'Demon Empire'… However~ The Supremes' plans have already been dictated~ They will be allowed to live for a time~" Superbia hummed, smiling as she glanced at the dizzy, gagging human, who was trying to get out of the chair in pain. "We will return him to the Theocracy~ Not before a little… Tweaking~"

"As THEY dictate." Achernar blurted out, prepared for whatever the Supremes were planning, but something… Off about her tone…

"Mm~ I can tell you're not entirely satisfied, Achernar~ What's the matter~?" The Moth asked amused.

"Well… I heard my… M-Mother… Talk… She said she wanted… Uh… G-Grandchildren…" Achernar blurted out almost in embarrassment. "I heard her say that with her… Ejem, girlfriend…" She explained, clutching her face in embarrassment.

Superbia's smile froze in shock for several seconds, with the Sunflower Scripture Captain, in pain, staring in disgust and perturbation at the duo.

The Commander slowly looked up at Achernar with her chitinous face static and expressionless…

"… I see…" She blurted out, and resisting the urge to slam herself against the wall, she sighed shakily. "A-As They dictate then…"

The Supremes' plans were perfect, they did not do it for pleasure, but for the wishes of the Supremes. Or at least that is what they told themselves~

"Tehee~" A mysterious heroic figure smiled on the highest tower of a cathedral, after his apparent death.

{Mysterious Heroine!? PNG}

She looked at the white castle with a smile, laughing a little, as her appearance suddenly changed completely to one very similar to Dont's.

"I didn't expect there to be a Heroine of Justice here already~" She said, putting on another mask, one of a dove's beak "I'm needed somewhere else~ Hop! To finish off corrupt politicians~!" The World Boss, the Maiden of All Justices, exclaimed, jumping back, falling into a portal, disappearing from existence in this world.

Thus, December 9th won't be remembered much, but on that day, a World Boss visited our dear pair, giving his blessing.

After all, there was now a Heroine of Justice in the New World.
