The seeds we plant

Chapter 10: Chapter 2- Judith

Judith's POV:

- Really charming…

I couldn't help but sigh in delight at the book I held in my hand. The searing story of a young, inexperienced and clumsy princess, Roa, who finds love in her young, efficient and skilled butler, Albert, simply stole my breath no matter how many times I read it.

- Gyaaaaaa, Albert is quite the heartthrob.

I couldn't help but scream at the top of my lungs as I kicked my legs against the armchair I was sitting on. The scene where he saves Roa from the abuse her older sisters give her is simply beautiful. Albert's deep trust in his young lady only makes Roa's feelings for him grow.

"I envy you"

- … I wonder where my Albert is.

Suddenly the sound of footsteps interrupts my reading. Although it's usually not strange for someone to walk around here, the steps seem too light to be from the others.

- An intruder? That's quite unusual.

"And they interrupt me just when I'm getting to the good part… well, whatever, I'll take it out on the intruder."

I stomp on the floor hard.

- Get out.

A near-absolute silence fills the room. I couldn't help but be perplexed by this situation. Annoyed, I stomp on the floor harder again.

- Guys, get out!

Another silence is only interrupted by the footsteps that get louder. I start stomping on the floor with my shoes, but nothing happens.

- Come on Judith, stop being so childish.

A familiar voice speaks to me. I can't help but sigh after understanding the situation.

- Was it you? Don't scare me like that…

I look up hoping to find a wolf pup, but I can't find it anywhere. Confused, I scan the room, but I can't find the animal in question, only a strange girl who for some reason is standing behind a strange flower.

- Huh? Did you turn into a girl?

- Of course not, I'm in front of her.

- …the weed?

- It's not a weed, it's a chrysanthemum.

The strange girl raises her voice looking at me. For some strange reason her gaze is empty and she has a perfect poker expression. The way she looks at me with those eyes is creepy. You really feel like she can see your soul through them. Ignoring the repulsion that the girl generates in me, I talk to the weed in front of me.

- So… tell me weed, who exactly is this girl?

- It's a chrysanthemum, not a weed.

- Why are you the one who's angry?

- …I'm not upset.

Although her expression didn't change in the slightest, her voice denotes a bit of anger. She looks away from me, it seems that I really made her angry. Silence takes over the place until the weed begins to speak.

- Allow me to introduce you, this is your new partner, the flower witch, Natasha.

- Huh?.... that girl?

- It certainly wasn't ideal that she was so young, but I had to bring her with me because there was a huge tragedy where she lived.

Still without changing her expression, the girl slightly lowers her head upon hearing the weed's words.

- So I was hoping that you could teach her about her power.

- Me?

A huge confusion floods my head. There are so many things wrong with it that I don't even know where to start. The girl also seems to have been taken by surprise as she quickly raises her head.

- You're basically asking me to take care of her, aren't you? I refuse.

- I see that you didn't even think about it.

- How the hell do you expect me to take care of a girl who came out of nowhere?

Another silence floods the room. I guess the weed didn't expect such a blunt refusal. The image from a moment ago suddenly enters my mind.

- By the way, could you give me back my boys?

- Sure, thanks for lending them to me.

Suddenly the shadow of the weed expands unnaturally and out of it come 2 huge black wolves.

- Welcome!

I lean down to greet them and they pounce on me. Before I could act they are already crushing me while licking me all over.

- Huh?

A silly voice comes out of the girl watching the scene.

- Ahhhhh, sorry. It was my mistake not to have introduced them. Nath, this is the beast witch Judith.

The girl's look of disbelief is quite funny to see. It seems that she really didn't know who she was messing with after all.

- Nice to meet you.

Leaving my boys aside for a moment, I sit down and greet the still stupefied girl in the proudest way I can portray.

- How nice that you met each other. Now that you know each other better, I'll give you some alone time.

- Hey, waittttt.

Before I could react, the weed sinks into the ground and disappears. Both the girl and I stare at the spot where the weed once stood, speechless in shock. The silence lingers awkwardly as the girl looks at me as if asking what she has to do now. Faced with this situation, I can't help but let out a sigh of resignation.

- You really played me this time, you stupid weed.

The girl looked like she wanted to answer back again but refrained from doing so.
